  3. I have tried 3 Orange Pi 3 images on my orange Pi 3 LTS. None of them will mount the root fs and continue booting. It shows btrfs, but the partition is ext4 and the armbianEnv.txt file has the correct UUID and ext4 stated. I can boot an image from the OrangePi website, so I am 99% certain it is not the power supply or sd card.

Hi, I want to use LCD on Orange Pi 3 LTS. But there are no fex/script.bin in the boot directory. The LCD pins are given the RGMII Ethernet Interface. I could not configure the device tree for internal LCD output. Could you please explain how can i use LCD on these system ? Good Work.

  5. Flash 25.2.0 (The Latest Built Dec 01) to a SD card and boot a Orange Pi 3 LTS, Ethernet lost after sudo reboot the board. It did not even come back after physically power off and on. Have anyone experienced the same problem? The same board worked very well with Debian Bullseyes (downloaded from http://www.orangepi.org/html/hardWare/computerAndMicrocontrollers/service-and-support/Orange-pi-3-LTS.html). I googled and found Orange Pi 3B has similar problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/OrangePI/comments/1aojmn3/orange_pi_3b_ethernet_doesnt_work/

Hi there, OK, here's the picture: brand new Orange PI 3 LTS, made SD card with Armbian 22.08 sid - didn't boot; made SD card with Armbian 22.05 Jammy - still the same result. The result: [ 0.000000] Boot CPU: AArch64 Processor [410fd034] [ 0.000000] bootconsole [earlycon0] enabled WARNING: Unimplemented Standard Service Call: 0xc0000026 and on top of that, upon first boot Armbian copies itself to the eMMC? Because after removing the SD card, I was able to get the same result with just plugging in the power (it boots from eMMC...?). As far as I remember, I didn't see any similar behavior described in the documentation. …

  7. After an "apt upgrade", the kernel was switched to "Linux 6.6.16-current-sunxi64" (Armbian 24.2.1 Jammy). On the WiFi side, no problem, but for Ethernet, it no longer seems to detect the link. So I downgraded to "Linux 6.1.77-legacy-sunxi64" with armbian-config. After this, the Ethernet works again. Do you have any idea where this could come from? And if this can be fixed in future versions?

  8. I've had an Orange Pi 3 LTS for a couple of months now. I bought it for use as a home theater tv box. I thought I'd use the official orange pi ubuntu release, but it turned out to be really outdated and broken. So I have been trying to get Armbian to work. After a lot of troubleshooting and time spent reading docs and forums, I can't get the thing to play video properly. It plays but is terrible quality and stutters constantly. I've determined that panfrost is working. In orangepi-config, under Hardware, it says the GPU is enabled. But when I run glmark2 I get a score of 100 or less no matter what I do. I've tried old builds of armbian for the pi 3 lts and the…

  9. Hello, does this USB WiFi card work with armbian on Orange Pi 3 LTS? TP-Link Nano AC600 USB Wifi Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PB1X4CN/ Does it need any drivers to be installed? If yes, is there any that is working with OPi 3 LTS? Btw I want to use this wifi adapter, because Armbian doesn't work with internal wifi card in this SBC - https://forum.armbian.com/topic/23505-orange-pi-3-lts-no-wifi/ (and sadly Devs didn't release a fix for it)

Hi guys! I have a problem with Orange Pi 3. After a night leaving the small board turned on I reboot the board and try to use a Bluetooth connector it shutdown. Again and again the same problem. When I touched the board it was so hot. Even when I use outside the case the board can't support a process for at least 30 minutes without turning off. I got the outputs of dmesg. As I don't know, I am a replay newbie, I ask for help here. Best regards. Paulo

  30. Currently I receive rustc crashes after memory usage get to 3GB (1GB RAM + 2GB SWAP) when building firefox. After looking around why, I found that kernel isn't build with lpae extension. Although H3 soc supports lpae (Large Physical Address Extension), but kernel has CONFIG_ARM_LPAE flag not set and so we can't use more than 3GB of memory (1GB is reserved for kernel). (Processors that implement the ARMv7-A Large Physical Address Extension (LPAE), expand the range of accessible physical addresses from 4GB (232 bytes) to 1024GB (240 bytes) a terabyte, by translating 32-bit virtual memory addresses into 40-bit physical memory addresses.) 35. I can't get my Orange Pi working... After writing image to a SD card, the system boots up and the green LED lights up. Everything looks ok, until "Starting kernel..." line. After that the screen goes all black or displays artifacts. I tried different HDMI cables but still same issues. I've been trying with 5.25, 5.30, 5.35, 5.38 Ubuntu versions. I found out that the only way to get the system up and running was installing version 5.30, because the system boots with 720p mode. Other builds use 1080p mode. However when I "apt upgrade" the kernel, system boots with 1080p and the issue shows up again. Is there a way to "force" Armbian to use 720p mode by default?

  47. Hey all, I understand these things are in active development at the moment. I was attempting to use the usb 3.0 socket on the lite 2 with stretch, except it did not respond at all - looking at dmesg shows the following error: [ 1.806055] sun4i-usb-phy 5100400.phy: Couldn't get regulator usb0_vbus... Hi there I wanted to ask if anybody got HDMI-CEC to work with their Orange Pi Lite. The data sheet says its supported, but I can't get it to work with Armbian. What I tried till now is installing cec-utils with all dependencies and running "cec-client -l", hoping it would work out-of-the-box: root@orangepilite:~# cec-client -l Found devices: NONE Tried different cables and HDMI Ports. CEC is enabled in the TV (Samsung). After a bit of googling (and trying some stuff applying to the RPi) I am now thinking that maybe the kernel hasn't got CEC support compiled in...? root@orangepilite:~# uname -a Linux orangepilite 3.4.112-sun8i #10 SMP PREEMPT Sun Oct 23 16:…

I've tried Focal, Bullseye and Hirsute, and the Lite doesn't seem to care for any of them. "Armbian_21.02.1_Orangepilite_buster_current_5.10.12_desktop" from the Archive section does boot, as do the versions of Ubuntu and Debian from the Orange Pi website. Perhaps if I had a serial terminal connected I would be able to troubleshoot this, but I don't yet. Its working great for the most part, but it misses the starting portion of the audio. I have installed snips voice assistant on it and for some reason the speaker does not produce the confirmation sound output on hotword detection. But plays rest of the sound outputs after that for another 5 seconds or so. Missing the confirmation sound from a smart speaker is really annoying. Is that a bug? Is there a possible workaround? Is any way this can be solved properly? Please point me in the right direction

  69. It used to function fine, however after not using it for awhile it has quit working. It starts booting normally, then hangs with what's visible on the screen being a bunch of systemd messages, with the last being either something about system variables or mounting FUSE file filesystem, when it's the latter it's followed up with a kernel panic. I've reflashed several times using both the server and desktop images freshly downloaded, no difference. The power supply I'm using worked before, as did the SD card. Unfortunately I have no way of showing you system logs or such for the time being. Any help would be appreciated.

  70. Hi, I have two OrangePi Lite running side by side. After working fine for about 8 months both started to experience same issue with wireless: The board works randomly for few hours or few days and then looses wireless connection. When this happens reboot does not help as then issue occurs immediately after the boot. Unplugging and replugging power source resolves that for a while and then happens again I suspect it may not be related to a hardware issue or wireless hotspot, as I have at least 3 other clients that continue to work fine. Searching for it on the internet brought this issue with Raspberry Pi: https://github.com/raspbe…

"dumpcap: The capture session could not be initiated on interface 'wlan0' (wlan0: SIOCGIWPRIV: Argument list too long)." 'iwpriv' command runs without error, but the private command list is really long. Buffer too small?? Dumpcap run with no errors on external USB wifi dongle (TP-Link TL-WN722N), so I think problem is in firmware of internal wlan chip…

  72. Good afternoon. I don't know how to solve a small problem. There is Orange Pi Lite. It runs its own program. The program uses spi-dev and display. You need to compile drivers for the network card. And then a problem arose. I cannot install linux-headers-current-sunxi on a working distribution (the latest one available on the website Armbian_23.02.2 5.15.93 ). And if you set “Community maintained”, then it is impossible to enable spi-dev and the display (Arbian-Config is missing in the repository) How to solve this problem?

  74. Recently I tested armbian stretch for orange pi lite2. If there is not other task except system, there work fine. But if there are some high cpu tasks, such as unzip, the system load will go high, and not go to lower level when task done. When the system load is higher than 4, the response of the system is laggy, when go higher, the system will go no response. I use uptime to test the system load, when boot, the 1min load will be at 3.xx and go down slowly. When no task, the load will lower than 0.5.

  76. Hi! I use this board since jun/2019 with Armbian 5.90 and kernel 5.1.15 (all OK except HDMI audio). In these 6 months tried to update kernel image few times, 5.2.x some months ago and now 5.5.0, but not more 1920x1080 support, the maximum is 1280x1024. Xrandr not show as supported mode anymore, whats happen? This is related to u-boot? I think can not read EDID, because no monitor model name is shown. 79. Hi, I recently read from github testings of orange pi lite2 testing that wireless is working. But I download from the official website of https://dl.armbian.com/orangepilite2/Debian_stretch_dev_nightly.7z(built 0824) and burn it, it starts, but the wireless is missing. I also read that the firmware added ap6255 wireless driver, so I download https://beta.armbian.com/pool/main/a/armbian-firmware-full/armbian-firmware-full_5.59.180915_all.deb and installed it. After reboot, the wireless is still missing. So the support of wireless is built-in or usb? Should I build armbian myself with the lastest code to support the built-in wireless? Thank you.

  81. As soon as I installed the latest version of the Wheezy I have found that there is some problem with an USB. When I start my Orange PI I can see that USB devices are power supplied from the bus only first a few seconds (when the bootloader is active I guess) and then being switched off. When I plug an USB device and supply it externally then it seems to be working well. My question is: how to switch on power supply of the USB port on my Orange PI? I have read a number of linux forums and found nothing. Very promising seems a command echo on > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1/power/level or similar but unfortunately it has no effect. Any hint, guys? So here is how it was: First time that i wrote the Armbian OS on the SD card and configured it (as said by the Armbian website I didn't connected the WiFi dongle) and after doing those stuff I did connected the WiFi dongle to it. It worked fine, but after some mins both LEDs were on. And nothing was working. I did the things I said above many times and the same happend. And once I d…

  97. Hello all guys, I tested my orange pi one and it is free from the overvoltage "defect" related to the CPU voltage regulator. The multimeter reports the expected 1.1 and 1.3 voltages. I decided to do some tests to find the highest frequency it can run stable at its lowest voltage of 1.1 volts. I found something odd. This is the dvfs table I'm using now: [dvfs_table] pmuic_type = 1 pmu_gpio0 = port:PL06<1><1><2><1> pmu_level0 = 1100 pmu_level1 = 1100 extremity_freq = 1200000000 max_freq = 1200000000 min_freq = 648000000 LV_count = 2 LV1_freq = 1200000000 LV1_volt = 1100 LV2_freq = 648000000 LV2_volt = 1100 If you're skilled with script.fe…

  98. http://www.fsfla.org/ikiwiki/selibre/linux-libre/ I expect this is the software. Free software is software you may use, share, modify and redistribute. To my knowledge orange pi one has an armv7 cpu. And the gpu is the same as on a pinephone. On this forum I was told command apt purge iozone3 armbian-firmware might turn armbian into a free software system. There is an armv7 libre linux kernel, which to some extend supports mali gpus. I want to test the libre linux kernel on an orange pi one computer, to get to know how well a Mali 400 MP2 runs on free software. Maybe it can give a streak of how well the pinephone's …

Currently, There is no mainline release for Orange Pi One. The only release of mainline is in nightly build folder and the kernel version is v4.11.8, which doesn't work SPI chipselect. On armbian latest source compiled image, v4.13.9, SPI problem is solved. Do you have any plan to release official mainline image for Orange Pi One? Thank you very much.

  100. Hi everyone, I bought an Orange Pi oneas a cheap replacement for the unobtainable Raspberry Pi Zero for a little Emulation project. Right now I don't know if it was the right decision:) I wanted to add a waveshare 3.5" display to the orange pi, but I don't even get there. I downloaded the armbian distribution v5.10 legacy Jessy desktop. After the start of the desktop, icons, the taskbar and open windows disappear at random, icons return but the taskbar does not, The desktop is unusable. A similar problem happens in the console, I don't see the cursor where I'm typing. On the command line, thats acceptable but using an editor like nano I have no idea where I am. …
