  3. Started by Nick,

For some reason the reboot command doesn't appear to reboot the H3. Is this because it doesn't have a PMIC in the same way that the A20's do or is it just a case of the correct assembly instruction not being called?

  4. I'm powering a small PCB via the OTG port on my OPI PC Plus, however sometimes I need to be able to reboot the device. It is possible to cut power to the OTG port momentarily to force a reboot? I've seen mention of PL2 GPIO, but it is unclear to me how this should be setup. I've also looked at uhubctl, but that didn't work. Thoughts?

  6. Started by Slune,

The sytem acted a bit wierd, so I rebooted it. Since the moment, the server did not launch, rebooting itself again and again. I edited boot script to get more informations, and this is the moment, where the sytem gets stucked before it reboots (I have panic set to 180, so this screen is visible for around 3 mins). Banana pi M1 armbian 5.14 installed on SDcard and HDD This is not PSU error, since other distros are running smoothly. This is not SDcard error, since I dded this SDcard to another and tested it.

  7. Hiya, Using a Banana Pi M1 as a factory production tester in China, running Armbian Mainline 4.6.3. Works fine here; never had the problem they're reporting, but they're saying: a) after a certain amount (unspecified) of time the boards crash and get stuck in a reboot loop displaying screen as shown in JPEG - "kernel panic not syncing - Attemped to kill init! exitcode=0x000000b" b ) rewriting the SD card image (from one I provided; a 4GB pre-configured image) fixes it (until it happens again) c) Only useful thing I can get from the photo attached is that the stack trace in the image (which is all I have to go on btw; trying to get a copy of the ba…

  8. I have just received an Orange Pi PC Plus, and am mostly happy with it. Linux orangepipcplus 4.14.18-sunxi is installed on a microSD card. There is a minor problem with IP addresses. When I first turned it on I forgot to plug in the network cable, so naturally ifconfig showed no IP address. I plugged in the cable, waited a minute, and tried again. Still no address. Maybe it's not hot-pluggable. Reboot, and I got an address. Since it was outside the range my server accepts I assigned a static address in the router, and rebooted the router. ifconfig still showed the first address, even though the router's client list showed the new …

  10. When I do a reboot the Olimex Lime2-emmc shuts down. No more information is shown on the display. This happens with the latest Armbian_5.31_Lime2_Debian_jessie_next_4.11.5 image from the website. It also happens with a self-build image with u-boot v2017.07 and v2017.05 Any ideas? Or debugging directions? I am out of options after 2 days...

  11. I have had similar issues what somebody had on this forum but I cannot post reply because the topic is closed. But I found solution. You need to downgrade u-boot with following commands. For Olimex Micro: apt-get install linux-u-boot-next-micro=5.60 Tested on ARMBIAN 5.60 stable Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 4.19.84-sunxi For Olimex Lime2: apt-get install linux-u-boot-lime2-emmc-next=5.30 Tested on Ubuntu Bionic with Armbian Linux 4.19.81-sunxi

But I found this scenario - if user makes mistake in his wifi settings and then he saves these "faulty wifi settings", he will not be able to recover default wifi values anymore. How would you solve this? (the best approach without any additional buttons for gpio pins or additional elements)

I also aim to put a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel connection on the box (with a latching press button switch for isolation) for the +5v supply and connect a short micro USB connector from the barrel socket to the board and also attach the SATA power leads directly rather than powering from the board 2 pin connector to take the load off the micro USB input.

  46. Wondering if there's anything similar to retroarch or mednafen that'll work for armbian on a pcduino3? I can't get the former to compile/install and the latter gives me guff about not being able to find a GLX visual when it tries to load video. It's worth noting that I'm pretty green when it comes to Linux, especially when it comes to "exotic"/SoC builds. I have nothing against learning, but I've found the signal-to-noise ratio for this product in particular is very poor and a lot of the info is woefully obsolete.

  55. Hi, I am using the Ubuntu desktop image found here https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-prime/ I am able to start the board, it lights up and connects to the network via ethernet -- I see it come up in my DHCP table and am then able to connect via SSH Docs say to use root:1234 for login, but I get Access denied. I found another forum post that says root is disabled via SSH by default. When I try to connect locally, I get no video from HDMI so I don't know what it's loading up to. I had hoped to be able to configure via SSH but can't get in. Any ideas on how I can proceed? Thank you!

Whenever I connect an usb dongle (RTL8188EU), it is recognised and works, but two NICs are shown in the network manager. Also ifconfig shows interfaces, where the lsusb shows only one device. Also strange is that one is shown as wlan1, but the other as wlx<macaddress>. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue?

I have an odd problem with a Orange Pi Zero H2+ 512mb I have samba setup with share all correctly BUT my windows XP pc cant see the share name at all unless I search for the IP then under the IP I can setup share maps on my PC and all is good. However I have tried 4 different Windows 10 PCs now and they cannot see either the server name or even the IP to get the shares :-( even though I can ping the server (OP-zero) IP address and get a perfect response. I am tearing my hair out here I need this to work on Windows 10 for a small server project I am working on. Also the exact same PCs CAN see the Shares and server easy with the exact same setup with Ubuntu 16.…

  96. Started by PaceyIV,

I've got a new problem with my Olimex A20 Lime2 board. The board doesn't freeze anymore (http://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/295-freezing-problem-with-olimex-a20-lime-2/) but after a week I've got a very slow speed using samba: about 300 kbps. I've tried to restart the smbd service but it doesn't work. The smbd process don't use cpu: < 5 %. If I restart completely the board, samba start to works again very fast and use the cpu: > 50%. How can I discover where is the problem and how to fix it? I'm using Debian jessie 4.2.6-sunxi, and there are no more updates.

  98. Started by hjoe,

Today I updated my BananaPI M1 board, replaced the Bananian OS with Armbian Armbian_20.05.4_Bananapi_focal_current_5.4.45.img. I'm not getting the SATA with connected 1TB WD10JFCX working. The HD worked before with the Bananien kernel 3.4.x What can I do, how can I test, how can i get more information about the reason? The board is powered via the Micro USB and armbianmonitor reports DC-IN voltage > 5V
