Hi, I have a basic doubt regarding the booting of multiboot vs armbian Multiboot gets booted from sdcard even if the tv box has Android. If multiboot can do it, why not armbian. I can see multiboot has vfat partition having kernel file. And another partition as ext4 that had Linux files. If we make armbian by modifying the initrd, will it get booted like multiboot, without erasing Android and not loosing Android functionality. It will be like dual boot also.

Hi, I have a tv box (mxq pro 4k 5g with rk3228a chipset). The wifi chipset is sv6152p. The armbian image "Armbian_21.08.1_Rk322x-box_buster_legacy_4.4.194_xfce_desktop.img.xz" works on it with the wifi driver ssv6x5x. I want to use librelec on it. When i install unofficial libreelec for rk3229/rk3228 box (kernel 4.4.194) the wifi don't works. The driver for ssv6051 is loading at startup but wifi don't works. Hello ALL, I have been trying to solve this common issue by myself for two weeks now but I finally gave up. I was able to brick then unbrick and get Armbian running from the emmc on my box but the wifi is still a no-go. Does anyone has this box with a working wifi? I would like to know if there is any specific combination of buster/focal, kernel, DTB and wifi-chip/pins selection that will work. My tvbox H96 Max H2 (rk3328)is not able to boot from SDCard, USB or SDcard+USB method. I downloaded the images by balbes150. Then, I flashed the emmc using android tool but still not able to boot using the methods of SDCard, USB or SDcard+USB. At this point I am willing to flash direct to emmc since I am able to get to maskrom. But, with the limited knowledge I have right now I am not able to do so. Primarily, I am using android tool. I have issue with using v88 mars android box with Armbian Focal xfce kernel 4.4.194 (legacy). Installation to nand with multitool every time progress and finish without problem. Also rk322x-config and armbian-config progress without problem. But when I start apt-get upgrade after successful apt-get update system crashes from X to terminal with many kernel messages (see image). Power adapter is original 5V 2A. I reinstalled system few times and it was always without problem. sudo rk322x-config successful and can be seen on images. Hi, Im trying to burn Armbian for the first time, but i cant flash it for some reason. I've burned the image of Multitool on an SD card, then i placed the image of Armbian in the "images" folder, and then i placed the SD card in my box and connected it to the electricity. Hello, buddies! I have a MXQ-4K (RK322X) device and I`ve installed on it BUSTER 4.4y and choose zsh instead of bash. I would like to use it like a regular Desktop, so I could simply surf on web and write some stuff on LibreOffice. But once I command "armbian-config" then I go to system > "install desktop with browser and extras" it finishes but when I reboot the device, it doesnt start the desktop, it goes straight to the terminal, asking me to log-in Am I doing something wrong? I have a Measy (R-BOX) U4C rk3188. Before I recycled it I thought I would try to get a linux kernel running on it and found this these posts. I experimented with Armbian_21.02.0-trunk_Rk3188_focal_current_5.10.6_xfce_desktop.img from 13JAN. (Thanks Balbes!) It boots with rk3188-rbox-cs968.dtb and most everything works but the video ouput is color shifted. So HDMI video output is fine but the colors wrong and HDMI audio is not working. I took apart the Android firmware that was on the thing but with a V3 kernel without uboot it is kind of difficult to see into the kernel. I did this migration once that KODI in Android on this TV-BOX, really does not work appropriately. So, the linux with the XFCE was a natural path for me. I have tried the latest image 20.11, focal and buster. System seemed running stable at first, but in a few hours, there was kernel panic which was caused by CPU. Issue happened randomly, under load or when practically idle. Is it possible u-boot i used is causing it, or is that bugger just needed to boot? Hi folks, I just bought A5X MAX RK3328 4K TV Box 4GB/16GB since it had 4GB RAM, but only 100mbit Ethernet. Since it's got USB3 so i can get 1gbit Ethernet anyway.
