Hello, I would like to get RT Kernel, but i am not able to do it. I have downloaded the patch file: patch-5.4.19-rt11.patch And I copy this file in the following folder: build/userpatches/kernel/sunxi-current Now, I create the following file: build/userpatches/lib.config And i add this sentence: KERNELBRANCH='tag:v5.4.19' and I run compile.sh But it doesn't work. I think there are 2 different errors: one for compiling for an specific kernel version, and the other one for loading the RT patch file. The borg server is an Odroid HC2, and borg check runs on the server (HC2) and is single threaded. Not sure where to even start, but one thing that caught my attention is that the borg process will be running at 100% CPU at various times (as expected), but the CPU frequency at those same times was reported at 200-300 MHz when observed using htop. Is this normal? Unfortunately I don't know what frequency was normal in the same circumstances with armbian stretch + OMV4. Benchmarks …

  8. When using the dts editor in armbian-config, a different dts is shown than the one that I defined in extlinux.conf. For my RK3188 based minix neo X7, I decompiled an existing dtb from boot/dtb into a dts file using dtc on my Linux computer. I edited this into a new dts and compiled it into a dtb. I placed this under the name rk3188-x7.dtb in my boot/dtb folder, referenced to it in extlinux.conf and my system booted using this dtb (checked in dmesg). However, when I try to use armbian-config to edit my dtb/dts, it shows a different dts. Any idea how or where to change this so I can easily work on my dts?

Hello Everyone, Yesterday Domoticz released a new version but requires now GLIBC-2.28. Armbian Bionic has GLIBC-2.27. Users with a Raspberry Pi need to upgrade from Debian Stretch to Buster. But what i know is Armbian for the OrangePi One plus based of Ubuntu 18.04 what is based on Debian Buster. So in my opinion it should be possible to run GLIBC-2.28 instead of GLIBC-2.27. But the question is: how could i fix that?? Thank you for all help!

Hi, I have checked that the GPIO Interruptions are very slow. If i receive a wave in a GPIO with IRQ edge enable, for a frequency of 100Hz, all IRQs detected are right (100 interruptions received) However if i increase the frequency of the wave up to 500Hz, i can't detect all the IRQs received, (50 interruptions received more or less) Well, i think maybe, the solution is to change the following kernel parameter: CONFIG_HZ=1000 instead CONFIG_HZ=250 (default) What do you think ?? Is there other solution?? Thanks a lot in advance

Hello everyone! I recently heard about running x86_64 programs on ARM using box64, and decided to give it a try. I get the impression that most people are just using it for games but I would like to use it to run Quartus (a program to work with Intel FPGAs). The issue I see is getting the USB drivers to work. Quartus includes drivers for several programming cables (I am only interested in the USB blaster cable), and as far as I know there are no drives available that run on ARM. Is there any hope at all of getting the x86 drivers to work on ARM? Thanks in advance.

  58. Hi all, i just stumbled upon the Bana Pi M4 Zero while searching for an pi zero 2w alternative that features at least 5ghz network support. My use case is explained quickly, I want to use g_mass_storage to create an smart usb stick device. I can't use libcomposite, since old devices (and it's going to be used with old tech) don't support composite as far as I know. Is g_mass_storage supported by default or would I have to compile my own kernel/image?

Now my problem is i used raspi-config to set login after POST in CLI in Rpi but in armbian we dont have this config thing and I want to make the system login at CLI then I could either continue to use CLI or go into gui mode by typing startx. Any ideas for this? I have tried systemctl enable multi-user.target but it seems nothing change and I also tried to find the directory of grub but there is none at armbian. Many thanks, Gabriel

Hi, I'm compiling a kernel (using 5.8.16-sunxi) for an H3 board that has the RTL8189es chip onboard. But the make fails due to a missing include file. It turns out that the makefile for this driver expects a "src" variable to be loaded with the path for the makefile. But I can't find any defining reference to this variable or any mention in the make documentation that it is an internal function. I've managed to fix this by setting src to srctree and the sub-path for this driver. But this seems very clumsy to me. Can somebody explain how "src" is meant to be loaded and why it's not happening for me ? Thanks, Steven

To backup the sd card we can just read the data back to computer and name the img file. How can we do that in armbian at least the easy way? Why we can view raspbian image's folder from window? When I add a user via command line (adduser), when they log in they get messages for authentication for network services. I also note it doesn't show the XFCE splash screens like the original user does. It can't browse anything on the wifi network but it can get through on the ethernet network. I assume I haven't added the user to the proper groups - can someone tell me what groups, or if I'm barking up the wrong tree?
