  1. Hi I've got both left and right channels working of my analog audio jack. The quality is quite good as long as Master audio isn't set above volume 15 - 20 or so. Toggling DAC or DAC-Reversed in Alsamixer will enable or disable the physical left and right physical speakers of ear buds. However! On both channels, the left and right software signals are mixed. So if I use "aplay stereo-file.wav", I hear left+right mixed through my separate left ear. Listening to my right earbud, same story: I hear left+right audio mixed. Please help, I can't even find any snd_ module flags to mess with. I've no pulseaudio installed on this latest stable server edition of …

  2. Hi. I have a Rock S0 that used to have Armbian 24.11 that I build from source, with these options: BRANCH=current BUILD_MINIMAL=yes KERNEL_CONFIGURE=no RELEASE=bookworm NETWORKING_STACK=network-manager ROOTFS_TYPE=btrfs I have installed three device overlays on this board for SPIdev and LED GPIOs. I shared these overlays in the Rock S0 subforum. They worked fine on 24.11 and earlier. But then I updated to 25.2 using apt upgrade. Now, my user overlays seem to be ignored. They don't do anything and it doesn't look like they were even attempted to be loaded, because I cannot find any reference to them in dmesg or anything. I tried removing …

  3. Thanks to help in another thread to solve our eMMC problems, we are making progress getting Armbian working well on the H2+ boards we have. Now we would like to be able to make a snapshot of the eMMC device and then be able to write the whole image to another board. I have been able to create a single file backup using both these methods (done after booting from SD). The created files appear to be the same size. dd if=/dev/mmcblk1 bs=16M | gzip -c > /mnt/usbflash/emmc.img.gz or ./backup_block_device.sh (from https://code.online-mp.pl/svn/public/backup_block_device/trunk/) To write the image, we'd like to use FEL. …

Hi, I am using Bluetooth and WiFi in the same time. Bluetooth is using for a whole time and WiFi 1 time per minute. So, I don't need WiFi connection very fast and do need most of network services. Due usage of AP6210 module, WiFi and BT shares the same communication channel (UART). I continuously send data (1Mbps) via Bluetooth. WiFi is used by my app 1 time per minute. The problem is that Bluetooth drops communication for about second. Reducing BT speed does not help. I noticed that when I download file from OPI board, that drops occurs much often. It seems that WiFi has a higher priority than BT in communication. Strange thing is that when I don't use WiFi network, i…

Hello, new here. I'm trying to build a headless environment for my ORDOID N2 based on a stable Debian (hence Buster), but I need some packages which aren't in the Buster repo (e.g. a CLang >7). I've tried following some instructions I found for adding Bullseye testing repo, and it makes the packages available, but the installation doesn't go well. Is this an unreasonable thing to attempt? Can anyone offer any guidance for how to get newer packages onto my Buster build? (anyone know when Bullseye will become the stable release?)

However, if I update the linux kernel (using apt-get install linux-dtb-edge-rockchip64 linux-image-edge-rockchip64) this breaks the image and it will be stuck on starting kernel the next time I reboot. These packages are not installed automatically, but are listed as kept back. However, since they break the system they should maybe not be possible to install.

I checked out download sections for few other boards of interest to me and they all appear to be fine 🤔

There is a bug (not really a bug...) in the copy process with rsync. Please add the -x option to rsync to copy the root file system to a SATA/USB drive. I have cifs/nfs filesystem from my main (file) server mounted and the installation tries to copy alle the network-drives to the local SATA/USB drive. I was wondering, why the hell the armbian-config says 1020MB to copy (around 3 min.) and after 1 hour it still was running rsync! Yes, it tried to copy hundreds of GB to the local 60GB SATA/USB drive! And... the script removes all extra fstab entries, so all network filesystem mounts are gone! Please, correct this bug!

  94. K-worker takes 10-20 % of one cpu core with later kernels. Does the 4.17 kernel still have this problem? Or is bionic a solution?

Hi all, I just downloaded the latest Armbian Bionic release and tried the new 5.0 kernel. So far everything looks good, but I can't get openvpn to work. The /dev/net/tun device is missing and I can't load the module. Since I'm new to armbian and my search didn't turn up any help - is there a way to get it to work? Thanks in advance, Jan

  97. Hello everyone. I've been struggling with the temperature of my Orange Pi Lite 2. Based on what I saw in the forums, undervolting might fix this issue. I know how to undervolt the CPU by editing script.bin, however, it seems that script.bin is deprecated and now I need to change the device tree. I looked into DTS config in armbian-config, I couldn't find any voltage related parameters. I need to edit something like the dvfs_table in script.bin. Does anyone know how I can edit the device tree in order to modify voltage values? Especially voltage-frequency values. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello, Here is the end goal of what I am trying to achieve: I am using a rockpro64 and would like to be able to boot from SPI into a rootfs present on an encrypted hdd RAID. I tried building an image with root encryption enabled but apparently, has stated on the wiki, it is possible that no prompt will be shown during the boot process. This is exactly what is happening to me, the boot process halts without showing anyway of entering the passphrase. Is there a way to solve this issue ? Or to reach my goal with a different method ? Many thanks !!
