Hi, Recently I generated a U-boot with SPL for an A20 OrangePi board but couldn't get it to boot. I've tried to debug this and the best I could do is find the SPL hangs/waits in a function called dread. The last display is "Trying to boot from MMC1". The U-boot version is 2021.10-rc3 from the denx.de site. After I overwrote the SPL on the SD-card with an older SPL everything is fine. I've tried changing various config options but just can't get the new SPL to work. Has anybody made a U-boot from this latest release and got the SPL to work ? Or can anybody tell me the .config settings used when building the Armbian version so I can compare them to mine …

Is it a HW/SW bug or limitation or something what can be configured somehow. I would expect the level to be "nothing" ;-) Thanks Chris

Hi, I just got my Orange Pi Zero for a Pihole. Running with a quality PSU and a SanDisk Ultra 16GB A1 card. Everything went perfectly fine, Pihole is the DNS for LAN, while my router handles WAN DNS (DNS over TLS with Cloudflare). I'm concerned a little bit about logging. What do you recommend to keep the sd card safe. I think Pihole is logging to /var/log/ whete running for less than 24 hours I have pihole.log 3MB size, with pihole.log.1 around 2MB. Is there a way to use log2ram for this or a good practice of log rotation, writing to RAM, etc? Your help is welcome!

  15. An Orange Pi R1+ LTS is on its way to me to replace the Orange Pi R1 that currently serves as my firewall (my fibre speed has increased and 100Mbps PHYs are too slow) The board is similar to the Orange Pi R1+ except that a NIC has a different chipset. Orange Pi R1+ LTS uses Rockchip rk3328 and has 1GB DDR3 memory and two 1 Gbps NICs. Compared to the Orange Pi R1+, the Realtek RTL8211E PHY has been replaced with a YT8531C PHY. The memory is also DDR3 vs DDR4. Armbian has WIP images for the Orange Pi R1+, but not the Orange Pi R1+ LTS. I guess that this could be a good starting point if I can figure out how to change the PHY.

I'm having an aggressive memory leak issue I can't place: Within 5 minutes the 4GB are full. htop and top don't show a massive program growing unbouded. `df` doesn't show a tmpfs that is too large. Are there any plans to add support for the MCP7940 real-time clock? It's much cheaper than the DS1307 and mostly compatible. The biggest difference is Reg0b7 which is "Clock-Halt" in the 1307 but "STart" in the 7940. The 7940 also has some extra register bits like OSCEN which are default 0 in the 1307. I tried naively enabling the rtc-ds1307 module and it didn't work. An actual DS1307 chip worked immediately (just hot-plugging the break-out boards while executing "hwclock -rf /dev/rtc1"). The actual error I get is: "Timed out while waiting for the time to change", "The Hardware Clock registers contain values that are either invalid (e.g. 50th day o…

But trust me I am struggling to add my custom prebuilt apk in to the Android 10 AOSP to include it in my custom ROM. What I have tried so far; 1. I have added a directory of my_app_name in <aosp_dir>/packages/apps/. Added an Android.mk file with below content in it, Placed my apk with that Android.mk in same directory. This did not work, I am not able to find any my_app_name.apk in out/targte/product directories. 53. Having downloaded the Armbian OS for my Cubox-i, I am using Gparted on MXLinux to prepare my 32Gb microUSB card for installing the extracted image. My initial problem is that I have to select the partition table type to install, from a list with msdos being the default. Is msdos the correct type or should I use one of the others offered (sun, gpt, bsd, dvh, aix, loop, pc98, amiga, atari, mac) Once that is done, what filesystem should I use to create the new partition as there are so many choices available. I appreciate any help you can provide to get me going. Thanks Ashdown

  56. Hello Everyone! I'm currently working on a nano pi m4b with a rockchip 3399 processor on it. I need to use an USB camera for my application but I am experiencing some issues that have been really hard to track down lately. First of all I'm using a 5 mega pixels camera with a OV5640 CMOS sensor and I experience some glitches with the image while live streaming. Besides that, I can only get an image while connected to USB 2.0, the 3.0 gives me a black screen with sporadic glitched frames. I'm running Linux 4.4.213-rk3399 on it and here are the dmesg dump logs I'm geting. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? [Feb24 19:13] Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0 [ +0.00000…
