Hi all. This is not Armbian related. But I don`t know where else to ask. I`m doing research on the NanoPi DUO2 running FriendlyCore with kernel 4.14 for my next review video. I would like to film the video with the DUO2. For that I`ve got a camera, it works. But only at 7 fp/s. On the FriendlyARM wiki it sais: I tried searching for kernel 3.4. But I`m unable to find it(I think). This is what I get. I don`t think/know these are useable. pi@NanoPi-Duo2:~$ sudo apt-cache search linux-headers 3.4 linux-headers-3.4.0-1-hammerhead - Linux kernel headers for version 3.4.0 on Nexus 5 linux-headers-3.4.0-4-goldfish - Linux kernel headers for version 3…

So far I've been able to get just about everything running with Armbian but I just haven't got my head around routing a usb / mpci 4g modem. I clearly see it's a ttyACM0 device, I can see it's a USB connection in nmtui, ifconfig shows it as usb0 interface. I think the hardware is good and Armbian is talking to it fine. Can someone point me to a tutorial somewhere that would turn the light on for a first time try at routing data from a cellular modem? I'm using a clearfog pro but I also have an espressobin. The modem is a U-Blox MPCI-L201 and I imagine should work on either board. I'm probably just not putting the right questions to uncle googl…

  4. Hello. I created a HotSpot with my Orange Pi Zero H2 with the latest version of Armbian Bionic. Everything seems to work, but I need the access point to reserve dynamic IPs, ie for a device with MAC address XX.XX.XX.XX.XX I have to reserve and then assign a specific IP address XXX.XXX. XXX.XXX. Any idea how to configure this HotSpot? Do I have to add some commands to the hostapd.conf file or what? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm using the Openmediavault+ARMbian image provided by Tkaiser. When I go to armbian-config --> System there is no 'Install - installs to SATA, eMMC, NAND or USB' option (according ARMBian documentation it should be there ). Just checked at a Odroid HC1 and a Banana pi 1, both running the "same" Openmediavault+ARMbian ROM. They also don't have the option van 'Install' option available. @Igor, @tkaiser is this option moved to a different location? Or just not present for the Openmedivault+ARMbian combo?

  52. Hello! I bought an Orange Pi PC about two years ago which is still working perfectly to this day (very happy with it), but I am curious to know what would be considered the 'best' Single Board Computer at this time point time, which would be around the same price range ($15 USD). 'Best' being defined as having a decent processor, and good software support - which the Orange Pi PC eventually did. I'm tempted to just buy another one of these for another project, but interested to know. Again, the main factor is price - $15 USD or less would be ideal.

  61. Hi there, Is there a way to make an automatic switch between AV and HDMI when HDMI connector is connected/disconnected? ie By default AV composite signal is ON, if HDMI is detected while booting, then video and sound are output to HDMI instead of AV/L/R output. I read that if both TV out and HDMI are enable at the same time it can result in artifacts on HDMI and for that reason TV was disabled by default. So is there a way to detect if HDMI is plugged in, and if so disable TV out. I would say it needs 2 .bin files with each config, but how to detect if HDMI is present before loading .bin and load the right .bin according to situation? …

I've set the Rock64 as an access point connected to a vpn server. I need to access any devices that are connected to my main router in 192.168.10.1. My wlan access point is in 172.24.1.1. eth0 and wlan0 are always tunnelled through tun0 and it must stay that way. Connected from wlan0 I can ping 192.168.10.176 (eth0) but not 192.168.10.1 (Internet router) or anything else outside wlan0 subnet. My aim is to access smb servers, nfs servers and ssh to any ip in this subnet 192.16…

  98. Started by MadMax,

I did enable Hotspot in armbian-config and that creates 172.24.1.1 for the WLAN adapter and 172.24.1.50 - 172.24.1.150 for DHCP. I want to change it to 172.29.2.1 First thing i did was changing the dnsmasq.conf to: interface=wlx647002073fb2 # Use interface wlx647002073fb2 listen-address=172.29.2.1 # Explicitly specify the address to listen on bind-interfaces # Bind to the interface to make sure we aren't sending things elsewhere domain-needed # Don't forward short names bogus-priv # Never forward addresses in the non-routed address spaces dh…

I tried all the known options for me to connect the LCD display S070WV20HG-DC16 with the touchscreen on the ft5x_ts driver, and failed because apparently not smart enough for this, the my brains are exploding. In the kernel, I did not find the drivers on the display (S070WV20_MIPI_RGB) and the driver on the screen in the kernel is not compiled. Is anyone can correct in the device tree file the parameters for the LCD section for the display as I understood the data can be taken from the fex file: …

  100. I downloaded image from https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pc-plus. It marked as STABLE and has kernel 4.14.65. Package linux-image-next-sunxi version 5.59. I'm trying to install kernel headers but in repository no package linux-headers-next-sunxi. And also in repository no package linux-image-next-sunxi (it installed in downloaded image) so it is not possible update other orangepi to latest kernel.
