Hello, I'm using the Wheezy Image with Kernel 3.4.107-cubietruck, downloaded 25th May 2015, on my Cubietruck. Working through the Guide "Enable Access point mode" I ended up having a running hostapd with a ESSID which my clients can see but can not connect. I tried with default config given by the image (ssid=cubietruck and wpa=2 with wpa_passphrase=12345678). I also tried disabling wpa (wpa=0). But no client can connect. 4. Hello, I have the LIME2 board from Olimex (A20 SoC). I tried writing the image Armbian_5.20_Lime2_Debian_jessie_4.7.3_desktop to an SD card with dd. However, nothing happens when I plug in power (except that a red light near the barrel jack connector turns on). I tried pressing some of the switches (reset, power) but they didn't do anything either. This is the second LIME2 board I have received that just won't turn on. I have also tried with the images recommended by Olimex, to no avail. Is there something special that needs to be done that I'm missing?

I received NanoPi NEO and NEO Air boards along with the NanoHat PCM5102a that FriendlyArm is selling: http://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=169 It's a good quality audio stereo out addon board compatible with NEO and NEO Air. I got it working with Armbian on NEO Air! I adapted commits from FA's repo to match Armbian's tree and get that DAC working, (original commits here: https://github.com/friendlyarm/h3_lichee/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=pcm5102a+&type=Commits). Add these to 'userpatches/kernel/sun8i-default`: https://gist.github.com/Simon-L/c8c119c86d7d3fe4316387c3ae818379 Add this config to 'userpatches' to have t…

I have a configfs setup that hosts are able to enumerate but the attributes for capture (c_chmask, c_ssize, c_srate) and playback (p_chmask, p_ssize, p_srate) seem to be switched. i.e. c_chmask = 0x3f shows as a 6-channel capture endpoint on both Windows (ksstudio) and macOS (system information) hosts. Is there something I’m misunderstanding here? Is there something I’m not doing correctly?

  17. [This is a repost of my own post at orangepi.org.] Hi, I'm very excited to use the Armbian on Orange Pi One. Without rebuilding a kernel or fex file, here is how to configure the Orange Pi One governor so the "[ 150.135554] [cpu_freq] ERR:set cpu frequency to 648MHz failed!" and "[ARISC ERROR] messages no longer appear in dmesg. We will set it to 912MHz on the low end and 1200MHz on the higher end which scale up and down properly on the Orange Pi One. This is until you update your fex file and/or kernel config to use different values for the CPU frequency scaling that are a little different on the Orange Pi One than they are on the Orange Pi PC. Put it in your /e…

I have an Orange Pi Zero that had an uptime of well over a year monitoring the output of some solar panels and the state of charge of a battery. It then switches a couple of relays in response to these measurements. It has been really reliable for 2 years, never crashing or rebooting until now. At the beginning of September it started to stop working, it has no monitor or keyboard, only a cat5 cable, so when I say stop working, I mean it stops logging to the nfs drive, stops switching the relays, stops responding to pings and any ssh sessions timeout. It does this every few days, around 6:30 am, and I then have to power cycle it to get it to work a…

Hello, I just started to use my old BananaPi M1 (Armbian 23.8 Bookworm) to check sensor values by onewire and i2c. At last there was no problem with onewire But I cannot get I2c to work. /boot/armbianEnv.txt overlay_prefix=sun7i-a20 overlays=i2c2 w1-gpio param_w1_pin=PI3 For onewire I had to define "param_w1_pin=PI3" even if my onewire sensor is connected to GPIO7. for I2C I checked "lsmod | grep i2c" but couldnt find anything. So ieven if it is not correctly activated, I could run "i2cdetect -y 2" and could find my sensor at 0x76 but couldnt communicate with it. I think I need to load "i2c-bcm2708 i2c-dev". Ho…

Hi guys, I tried to disable console output on uart0 using this guide https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Fine-Tuning/#how-to-toggle-boot-output But I still get boot output on uart0. Problem is, that I'm using uart0 for a java application. Java application crashes a few seconds after starting. I got the hint, that I should disable console output on this port, to make it working. See here: http://pi4j.com/example/serial.html I think that's the problem, because if I unplug my serial device from uart0, java app doesn't crash. I'm using Banana Pi. Kernel is Verison 4.8.12. Armbian is Jessie 5.24 with desktop. How can I disable the output? Yours, Martin

Banana Pi (original "model 1") A20 Was running flawlessly on Xenial - latest updates - almost everything worked (I run it on a LiPo battery to transport back and forth from work to keep my Resilio Sync data "in sync") Resilio seems to work fine - except in Bionic I can't use avahi to resolve names on my LAN... this worked in Xenial on the same hardware. The reason I decided to try out Bionic? Couldn't find a resource to upgrade from OpenSSH 7.2 to 7.3 or greater (I'm making heavy use of features not available in OpenSSH 7.2 on my other machines). I've tried tweaking my /etc/nsswitch.conf file to no avail... Sheesh - "avahi" just worked out of th…

  91. Is it possible to shut down power to a particular USB port? I have a sensor that is using USB also to power itself. I don't need it running all the time - hence - I'd like to turn it off.

  92. I tried to build the armbian on my Orange Pi Zero Plus 2 to work on my astro project. I'm planning to connect the board to the camera module, which I'd assemble with a small scope (120mm focal length), and with a small TFT screen to make it a electronic finder scope. When I build and install the stretch server I've encounter several instability. There were some random crashes and finally I was able to get it stable. I'd like to share it here in case anyone is encountering the same. Here's the info: First I was experiencing random crashes and the exception message shows there's a problem at the high resolution timer. I simply disable the hr timer …

  93. Hi Guys, Sorry if this question has been tabled before, but i couldn't see it amongst the H5 topics. I just bought two O-pi-zero+ and downloaded the two mainline releases from https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero-plus: Armbian_5.38_Orangepizeroplus_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.14.14.img and Armbian_5.38_Orangepizeroplus_Debian_stretch_next_4.14.14.img both seem to work just fine until i try to disable any of the CPUs, for example: "echo 0 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online". i'm logged on using ssh and after this i get no response. this happens on both xenial and stretch, and on both boards. i haven't tried connecting to the uart yet, but i just wo…

  94. Hello everyone, My bananapi is running on the mainline kernel. When i try to poweroff the bananapi it reboot's but without it's networking services online. The bananapi is connected to a battery, but i do expect it to power off completely. I came across this topic but it is about a cubieboard running on the legacy kernel. 96. Started by SoNic67,

I have just flashed the Armbian Stretch mainline kernel 4.14.y. While booting, connected to a HDMI TV/monitor, I can see the start-up text lines initializing various things and at some point (I think it is "starting kernel"), the display gets heavily corrupted with horizontal lines then it switches to a blank screen. The TV displays that it's a 1080p60Hz mode (should be compatible with the display). Any ideas? https://youtu.be/n4-TSFzBgO4

  97. Hi, We are using an Orange PC Plus with Armbian Orange Buster OS. Connected to the 40-pin header is Pi-Supply LoRa Node pHAT. We are having trouble commumicating with the LoRa module. We occasionally can get partial messages. The OS reports no errors with the UART. Any suggestions? Thanks frank

  98. I have tried to run the h3consumption monitor program (https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/packages/bsp/h3consumption) in an up to date Armbian 5.38 stable Debian Stretch 4.14.14 on a PiOne. After the command 'sudo h3consumption -h' and other commands it gives 'This tool requires legacy kernel on H3 devices. Exiting.' Is there any solution for this? Can I change the 3.4.*) to 3.4.*|4.14.*) in the script without any problems? https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/180112d72d31ec3629896f272a1d59ef3d83dc8d/packages/bsp/h3consumption#L123 # check platform and kernel case $(uname -r) in 3.4.*) HARDWARE=$(awk '/Hardw…

  99. Can anyone suggest a command line command that would return the status of the connected HDMI monitor? Whether it is on standby or not or something that might help to determine if the display is active or not. I'm currently using Armbian Xenial on a H3 Orange Pi Zero Plus 2. Thanks

This is based on the guide at http://linux-sunxi.org/Qt5_For_Mali_Binarieswith modification. 1. compile armbian (In my case Jessie without desktop) from source https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib 2. log in and edit /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf add following line: 8189fs mali ump drm mali_drm sunxi_cedar_mod 3. Change the default gcc to gcc-4.8: sudo apt-get install gcc-4.8 g++-4.8 sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.9 10 sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/g++ g++ /usr/bin/g++-4.9 10 sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.8 20 sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/g++ g++…
