  1. Hi, I've been using armbian in combination with openmediavault for the last years to access my files on an 1TB HDD. Today I wanted to upgrade the drive to a 3 TB one, but it just shows a capacity 746GB. Is there a size limit on the GL830 for harddrives or why isn't the real capacity showing up? fdisk-l: Disk /dev/sda: 746.5 GiB, 801569724416 bytes, 1565565868 sectors Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Thanks in advance Regards, Joshua

  6. Hi folks, A few months back, I set up an Orange Pi Prime on Armbian Bionic (Armbian_5.52.180715_Orangepiprime_Ubuntu_bionic_dev_4.18.0-rc4.7z). I'm now putting together a home automation workshop around this configuration, but it looks like it's now missing from the website (https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-prime/) and download site (https://dl.armbian.com/orangepiprime/). Is Bionic no longer supported for this board, or was this an oversight? Is there something I can do to help?

I just noticed there isn't a i2s/i2s0 overlay for the mainline kernel series: Linux orangepipcplus 4.14.78-sunxi #412 SMP Fri Oct 26 11:37:04 CEST 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux https://github.com/armbian/sunxi-DT-overlays/tree/master/sun8i-h3 Is it a simple matter of just adding some text files for DT? Or was i2s intentionally left out because or some conflict for example? (I had good luck with legacy on Banana Pi Pro a long time ago with fex, so I'm guessing it's a unintended omission?)

  29. I made tests with Orange Pi 2+ to install Armbian to eMMC. But I have no idea why it takes 30 minutes to install. I assume write speed of eMMC to be 5MB/s (ok maybe it is even faster) and Armbian on SD card is about 2.1GB, so it should take ~7 minutes to copy files, plus some more minutes to finish final touches, let's say 15 minutes together. But why it takes more than 30 minutes? Is there any possibility how to reduce this time? P.S. When I am burning armbian img to SD card, in 5 minutes I am ready to go and boot the system.

My Prime is reasonably stable now, except for running youtube videos in fullscreen 1920x1080, which drives the heat up (I've seen 87 !), and after a few minutes freezes the video with the sound continuing. I can't find any mention of YouTube in the documentation, and only video URLs in the forum. Is there some trick I have missed?

[H5: Nanopi neo core 2] I observe the UART Rx line to be influenced by the RTS line which I am using during sending. Is there a way to enable an internal pull-up on Rx so that this doesn't happen? I suspect it's the cause of communication errors that I observe. I confess that I am currently on a FriendlyCore 4.16 build, but I wouldn't expect such an issue to be too distribution-specific.

  52. Hi, I'm trying to set up multiple wlan interfaces for my Orange Pi Zero Plus2 H5. I want to have a interface in AP mode and a interface in Managed Mode ... so that I can provide a minimal "register me into your wlan" AP and the other interface can try that provided wlan credentials without reusing/ turning off / reconfigurating the AP interface. So I want to run a normal hostapd on wlan1 and a wpa_supplicant on wlan0 ... 61. Hello, There seems to be scant details about the NanoPi Neo 2 LTS, so I thought I'd contribute some. My testing is much less formal than how some would measure it. What I especially like to do in the way of network speed testing are the "worst-case scenarios". My way of invoking a sort of "torture test" is to mostly test upload speeds (as they tend to be slower than download speeds), both large files (much easier), as well as uploading many tiny files (much more gruelling to store, so is therefore a major "torture test"). Having said that, I'll usually favor all-GbE networking (noting which I'm using, GbE or wifi), because I know GbE will b…

All of the OS images from http://www.orangepi.org/ seem to work just fine, as well as an old "debian_server_for_orangepizero_v0_9_2.img" I found, so I'm going that route for now. 90. Hi, I have two OrangePi Lite running side by side. After working fine for about 8 months both started to experience same issue with wireless: The board works randomly for few hours or few days and then looses wireless connection. When this happens reboot does not help as then issue occurs immediately after the boot. Searching for it on the internet brought this issue with Raspberry Pi: https://github.com/raspbe…

Is there any other firmware for the AP6255 available, besides the one made available for Khadas VIM at https://github.com/khadas/android_hardware_amlogic_wifi/tree/Vim/bcm_ampak/config/6255/BT or the one for the Raspberry Pi 3+ available e.g. at https://github.com/OpenELEC/misc-firmware/blob/master/firmware/brcm/BCM43430A1.hcd which uses also the same chipset? I am trying to make Bluetooth working on an Orange Pi Lite2. So far I had no success loading the firmware by issuing root@orangepilite2:~# brcm_patchram_plus --patchram /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM43430A1.hcd --enable_hci --bd_addr 11:22:33:44:55:66 --no2bytes --tosleep 1000 /dev/tty…

  95. Started by ccapublic,

Hi All, I did my best to sort the following issues out by searching the web / forum with no success. Please forgive me in advance if topic was already covered. I have a cubietruck running mainline kernel and have installed a LiPo battery. I can get info about the battery by catting /sys/class/power_supply/axp20x-battery contents. However, some things are weird ; - capacity reports 0 (but bat is charged) - voltage_now reports 4.5V (abnormal for a LiPo) while voltage_max says 4.2V (which is normal) - status says discharging even when on mains - ssh motd does not show battery status (btw 30-armbian-sysinfo seems to poi…

  99. Hi , I am finding trouble using orange pi gpios, here my approach I am trying to scan 4x4 kepad using gpio how am I writing 0 to a particular gpio pin? step 1 : sunxi_gpio_set_cfgpin(pin, SUNXI_GPIO_OUTPUT); step 2: sunxi_gpio_pullup(pin ,SUNXI_PULL_DOWN); I am not sure whether I am correct here. I am not sure if I have to use UP or DOWN or NONE here in pull up call, but I tried UP and DOWN so for. step 3: sunxi_gpio_output(pin,val); here I am using val = 0 or 1 making pin low and high depending on my requrement. in my attempts I get vague results as ou…

  100. I have an Orange Pi Plus 2E I'm using as a cheap desktop computer/kiosk. I want to run Armbian on eMMC but use an SD card for file storage. If I boot off the eMMC, then insert an SD card (formatted as ext4) after boot, the system works well. But if I boot off the eMMC with the SD storage card in the card slot at boot, the CPU load increases and performance lags. Here's the output of armbianmonitor without an SD card, with two Firefox windows and a terminal window open while streaming audio using Audacious: Time CPU load %cpu %sys %usr %nice %io %irq CPU C.St. 06:18:26: 1296MHz 1.10 25% 3% 21% 0% 0% 0% 54.1°C 0/9 06:1…
