  1. Hi, after upgrading my Cubietruck it failed to boot from SSD. I suspect this has something to do with the causes discussed here: http://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/690-upgrade-error-with-armbian-500-on-cubieboard2-running-from-nand/?hl=boot#entry5649 and / or a proper installation of the 'board support packages'. I got the same failure message as mentioned above: FEHLER: unable to make backup link of `./boot/bin/cubieboard.bin' before installing new version: Operation not permitted Directory /boot from nand1 was mounted during upgrade. I thought the solution would be to boot from SD to SSD an fix the issues. So I changed boot.cmd accordingly …

  2. This is not to demand the devs to make the board work, I know your quite hang up on maintaining Armbian and the massive collection of boards. But I searched the forum to see if I could find it, and didn't find anything. So yeah well here is the thread about this board, in case others do a forum search. The board looks promising, but it would have been great with emmc on it, somehow they just cant get it right with these boards And if or when you need something testet, I'll be happy to help. Hi, Recently I've made a custom kernel for an Olimex Lime board. The NAND driver refused to load and reported "kernel divide by zero". I believe the problem is in drivers/block/sunxi-nand/nfd/nand_block.c in function get_cmu_clk. The function (with my patch line) is: __u32 get_cmu_clk(void) { __u32 reg_val; __u32 div_p, factor_n; __u32 factor_k, factor_m; __u32 clock; reg_val = *(volatile unsigned int *)(0xf1c20000 + 0x20); div_p = (reg_val >> 16) & 0x3; factor_n = (reg_val >> 8) & 0x1f; factor_k = ((reg_val >> 4) & 0x3) + 1; factor_m = ((reg_val >> 0) & 0x3) + 1; …

Hello, I have a question about HDMI CEC in Armbian Stretch, is it possible to run this? After command lsmod I have module hdmi_hw_cec, I install libcec and cec-utils packages but cec-client still show "not devices". I read in sunxi wiki http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effort#Status_Matrix that HDMI CEC should be active in revision 4.17, so when we can expect this version? :)

  5. trying to read the serial data from the UART1 port then write it on the UART2 port .... this is absolutely easy in the case of just reading the serial data. but now what m really trying to do is to read the serial binary bits which includes the serial data and the framing data ( parity bit/stop bit/start bit) and then write all of these binary bits to the other serial port. how could this be done? how could i read the serial bits without the framing bits being stripped? thanks in advance best regards

  49. Hello, my Orange Pi Lite WiFi (RTL 8189FTV) @ armbian 5.13 for OPi Lite works well on 20 MHz WiFi channels however is not usable on 40 MHz channels. The signal strength vary between 79 to 95 % on 20 MHz channel(s) while from -1 to 36 % on 40 MHz channel(s) and the connection is not possible. It seems the driver still needs some more tweak. Other WiFi devices have no problems with 40 MHz. The router I use to connect to is Asus RT-N18U (Broadcom BCM47081A0). Thank you for your efforts vojtvop

The Ethernet Port MAC starts with : de:ae:b8:d7:xx:xx I needed this when I was trying to find the device on my network to SSH in. root/1234 It showed up on my network as a reasonably "fast" device with 0ms lag. I'm running a Cat 6 network with a gigabit switch. A nice pinout that Linux34 from Orange Pi posted.

Hello, all. My Orange Pi PC2 recently broke when doing an upgrade. So I hooked a serial cable to it and watched what it did. The error was that it couldn't find the dtb file. It was looking for "/boot/dtb/allwinner/allwinner/sun50i-h5-orangepi-pc2.dtb" and "/dtb/allwinner/allwinner/sun50i-h5-orangepi-pc2.dtb", but the former fails because the file is at "/boot/dtb/allwinner/sun50i-h5-orangepi-pc2.dtb". So, I put a simlink in dtb/allwinner called 'allwinner' and pointing to the parent directory. Now the device boots. I'm not sure if that's the proper fix, but it works for now and I'll fix it if I manage to break something with it later on. Thi…

I'm running an OrangePi One. Having installed Armbian a while ago and gone through all the updates, I was wondering if there is any way to determine what equivalent release my installations are at. I noticed that 5.20 is out and some folks are talking about 5.21. I'm running Jessie. Also, for me to use a more recent version of Debian, I'm guessing I would have to build the image myself? Is that due to shortcomings in the 4.x kernels on the H3 platform? I've done some digging and it seems like many (most) things are working right on the 4.x kernels? Thank you James

  95. Hi, I just realized that my Orange Pi Zero running Armbian now shows a completely wrong temperature reading using cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp This has not been the case until I updated to Armbian 5.38 by apt upgrade some days ago. Before that the reading was plausible. Not sure which exact version I was running before. I have a cpu temp monitoring script running and just realized that it now gets garbage. At the moment I get a reading of -12°C when outside temp is about 0°C (the OrangePi is in a water proof box outside on my roof). Not a serious problem, but seems to be a bug, so would be nice if it could be addressed :-) . …

  96. Dear Armbian friends, I have question about add DS18B20 temp sensor at RPi-Monitor (web based interface). Can somebody paste working config of this sensor? On internet I found many tutorials but with DHT sensors. On this page (Xavier is an author of RPi-Monitor I think) is described DS18B20 but in status "Working in progress". I tried this but without luck. https://xavierberger.github.io/RPi-Monitor-docs/32_sensors.html?highlight=ds18b20 Cheers, Lucas

  98. Hello all, I used using opi one with (Armbian_5.90_Ubuntu_bionic_4.19.57) image. and used the uart0 pins for hardware pwm but the output was around 330mv pwm not 3.3v as i want. my initial thoughts was either the uart0 isn't disabled or there are no pull ups activated, although i tryed using this: https://github.com/iboguslavsky/pwm-sunxi-opi0 Remap pins in FEX: ; Disable debug UART0 [uart_para] uart_debug_port = 0 uart_debug_tx = port:PA04<2><1> uart_debug_rx = port:PA05<2><1> ; Enable PWM0 on PA05 [pwm0_para] pwm_used = 1 pwm_positive = port:PA05<3><0> bu…
