  2. Hi everyone, I'm using the Orange Pi Zero 3 and would really appreciate a lightweight desktop image with just the XFCE desktop, a web browser, and basic tools (like file manager, terminal, etc.) with video acceleration. The current Armbian desktop image works, but it includes a lot of software I don’t need. I’m looking for something more minimal — just enough for light use and a faster experience. Does anyone have (or know how to build) a stripped-down XFCE image for this board? Thanks in advance!

  4. Hi. I'm running Armbian Distro Debian 12 Minimal/IOT with Gnome GUI on an Orange Pi Zero3 2gb and 4gb models. I installed XRDP Xorg to be able to access from Windows 10. I can access the systems remotely, but both machines turn off after a short period of activity, somewhere between 5-10 minutes, whether they're idle or performing some activity. I've already looked for some hibernation/suspend option, but I only found something related to turning off the screen, which didn't solve the problem after being disabled. The Orange Pi Zero3 2gb machine ran for a few months using another version of Armbian recommended by the manufacturer's website without this…

Tried to experiment a bit, it seems that U-Boot works correctly, but in Linux kernel, sent data from USB-serial to ttyS0 arriving correctly, but anything written to ttyS0 is not visible on connected USB-serial adapter.

Hi, I'm fairly new to linux and I've been trying to get my banana pi OTG port to act as a HID device when plugged in. I've been looking to do it using configfs and usb_gadget but I have no idea how to get this working. Do I need to compile the kernel with additional options to get this working? I've googled for days now and tried various different solutions but not got far with it. Any help is much appreciated.

I noticed that in the boot splash screen a "Err: VGA" is reported. It's not too clear from the documentation if this setting can be applied also modifying the armbianEnv.txt …

as per title, armbian sucks. The last version is totally broken, unusable. Only one quarter of the screen is readable, the rest is black: why nobody has said that? Why nobody says that vlc and mpv crashes every 2 min making watching a movie impossible? The once half-decent armbian is ready for the bin now

Armbian takes quite a bit of time to find the sound card on the OPi, around 30 seconds. Or, maybe it's something else that's making it take so long. 99. Hi, I have connected Orange Pi Lite over serial UART, but looks like the default settings are to not output the boot log to serial. You can only see U-Boot messages, then "Uncompressing Linux kernel" and after some time the login prompt comes. What exactly do I need to change/configure to get the classic kernel boot log to serial console? Thanks
