I want to create an image file with yocto. There is no orangepilite in the link "https://github.com/linux-sunxi/meta-sunxi" . I created an image file for orangepione. kernel did not stand up. then I downloaded the metalayer in the link https://github.com/abradianu/meta-orangepi/. I made the following changes. ../conf/local.conf/ MACHINE ??= "orangepi-lite" ../conf/bblayers.conf /home/e2das//Desktop/yocto/poky/meta-orangepi \ then I ran the bitbake core-image-base ERROR: /home/e2das/Desktop/yocto…

I successfully installed Armbian 20.08.1 to eMMC, and it works fine. Now, I want to try Raspberry OS (I'm told that it works?) but regardless of what I put on my uSD card (I've tried several OS's) - when rebooting the OPi 3+, it always comes up with the eMMC Armbian load. In researching this, I read over and over that the uSD card always has priority over the eMMC. Is this still true with the current version of Armbian? What could explain the behavior I'm seeing? I tried the Install to/update booth loader, both option, with no change in behavior. Any thoughts?

After finally compiling the github 8188cu-fixed, blacklisting the old driver, I'm left with an interface name starting with lx and continuing with the mac address. I really need it to just say wlan1, so that I can use this sd-image for multiple orangepi-lite boards. Each usb wifi stick I plug in comes up with a different MAC address, hence the interface name changes accordingly. Example: One stick may have a MAC address 00-b6-56-0a-34-b2, and the interface ends up being called lx00b6560a34b2 I've had a look at the leading Ubuntu Xenial solutions, so far none of them work, mainly they use a grub based solution. Hope someone can help.

After I copied the original OS from the SD card to an external usb HDD and make the Orange PI PC boot from it, mouse and keyboard suddenly don't work anymore on xfce. Hi, I have been running Armbian on OrangePi Lite for more than a year just fine. Then I decided to upgrade and flashed the latest version. Now with the latest version the device looses wifi every few days no matter which wifi device I use. In order to investigate I have plugged additional USB wifi. Some time both wifi work. Then built-in may disconnect and stop working, but USB keeps working. Or vice versa, USB stops working, but the built in keeps working. I have been able to send syslog to an external machine and here what it showed Connection works fine: The next day one of the connections stops working and…

Hello, I'm a new user of Orange Pi One - it just arrived yesterday. I installed Armbian and hoped to try out some H264 video. It appeared just fine on the first time - but I noticed lack of any OSD/subtitles. I tried to use different player (VLC), played with different video outputs. 'X11' worked well on both VLC and mpv... until I tried fullscreen. After long time spent researching the topic I found out that Armbian is using libvdpau-surni whitch is a community driver reversed-engeineered from Allwinner's commertial one, apparently avalibale for Android. I also read that its output will alvays overlap any other elements of the screen including subtitles, menus et…

Hi , my op one board is installed latest armbian but i couldnt see serail ports The default serial port /dev/ttyS0, used for (bootstrap) debugging and the serial console, is located at J11 - refer to the picture and instructions below. The Raspberry's "original" serial port on GPIO 14 and 15 (CON3, pins 8 and 10) can usually be accessed as /dev/ttyS2 on the Orange Pi Plus. J12 also provides another serial port on pins 4 (RX) and 6 (TX), which should map to /dev/ttyS3. only i see /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyGS0--GS4 how can i fix this issue ?

Hi, Sorry for the newbie question. Is it possible to configure Armbian/OrangePiZero such as it can bridge 2 wireless networks. i.e.: connecting to an existing SSID to gain access to the internet, and at the same time servicing as an access point using another SSID ? And.... how do I do that ? Thanks in advance, Richard

Hi, I'm using Orange Pi 2E+ with 3.4 Multimedia kernel (intend on using Kodi) I have a DVI monitor I want to use, and a crappy HDMI > DVI adapter which for some reason doesn't let computers know that the DVI monitor is connected to their HDMI port Confirmed on 2 different computers. The adapter probably lacks the hotplug-detect pin because computers don't know there's a screen connected, but the screen will show an image if I force my laptop to send a video signal out it's HDMI port using xrandr. Is there a way (using .fex files or whatever) to make the kernel assume that there's a monitor with 1920x1080 resolution on the Orange Pi 2E's HDMI port? …

Hi folks, I'm trying to figure out what the current status of USB OTG support is, as applies to the Orange Pi Zero. I'm trying to use the HID gadget features, but I'm triggering a segfault and stack dump when I try to set it up. I'm using the hidonly.sh script found here (https://github.com/crmulliner/hidemulation), with a tiny modification to make it more generic: - echo ci_hdrc.0 > UDC + ls /sys/class/udc > UDC On running the script, I get the following (using the serial console): I found this report, which appears to be identical, but I'm not sure what it means, or what I should do to get working OTG support on the OPi Zero. Is the…

Recently I borrowed my Orange Pi PC2 to a friend, and he fails to set up SSH connection w/ it. After debugging w/ HDMI monitor, I found ssh_host_ecdsa_key, ssh_host_ed25519_key and ssh_host_rsa_key are preloaded to the Orange Pi PC2 image, which prevented SSH from working. Even if it doesn't prevent working of SSHD, it's also a severe security hole -- that means all Armbian installation with the same image will uses the same host key and they're vulnerable to MITM attack. I think these files should be purged when generating image, and regenerated when first powerup. It's what AOSC OS images do.

Hello, In a GOLANG based, RPi 3B+ project I am using the https://github.com/stianeikeland/go-rpio package to read the state of the GPIO-s. I am planning to set up some Banana Pi M2 Berries with the same software. The package - as it was expected - doesn't work with the M2 Berry. I could adapt the package for the Berry, but I don't know which peripheral chip is used in it. Does anyone know which peripheral chip is used in the Berry? (The schematic diagram on BPI's page is useless). Thanks, G.

I got that stability issues on my banana pi m1, and notice that the last kernel available on armbian still the 4.14.18. Today I also run apt upgrade on raspberry pi 3 and it installed the kernel 4.14.30 that stop the ipsec vpn working, the same as in 4.14.18 used on armbian. I feel some frustration on the latest kernel updates, and wondering if anyone have some info about the next kernel update that solve this issues. Do you advise me to change to nightly builds to get a new kernel to test? สมัครufabet Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to setup a logitech squeezebox server on an Orange Pi Zero so that it can be carried around and serve my collection from a large micro-sd card. This is the 3rd iteration of this already (first was given as a gift, 2nd got fried by 12V, and now this one) and in the past I've been using hostapd to connect while away from home. I'd like to explore the possibility of using a Bluetooth Personal Area network, but I am not sure if there is a stack that can achieve this for me. The idea is that I would use bluetooth instead of wifi to connect to the orange pi zero and establish a tcp/ip connection that would allow me to control the server using the phone…

I have a NanoPi Neo V1.4 running Armbian 23.8.1 bullseye with kernel nanopineo 6.1.63-current-sunxi. Now, that I got my micro-USB port working for a SD card holder, I want to programmatically backup my boot SD on a regular base to another SD. Yes, it works by a full dd-copy. but this is quite time consuming and I want to skip some directories while backup, which does not work with dd. The idea: Take a new SD (same model as source SD) Create a new partition table and a primary partition 1 with fully equal parameters as my source SD Format partition 1 with ext4 and mount to /mnt rsync all files (exclude some directories as e.g…

Hello guys, do you know what might cause this error, it seems my "smart home" controller is not booting up anymore. In the last 2 weeks it happent again to not display any webpage while accessing it by IP, also the SSH was not working, all leds ware blinking like usually are, like there was normal activity, but it didn't respond to any request, only the ping was working, anything else was not (apache, samba, ssh). I turned it off by long-pressing the power button, it booted up, showing this warning "warning bad CRC - using default enviroment" and it passed by, showing the armbian logo and a blinking cursor, but that's it, nothing more. Hello, I've been working with my Banana Pro since years with Bananian. Last days I formatted the SD and installed Armbian (debian), to be used in headless mode. Installation and system setup worked as expected, I modified eth0 setup for static IP and it went fine after reboot. A strange problem appeared when I installed transmission-daemon, minidlna and samba packages. All working fine before reboot, but thereafter any network interface is disappeared, network-manager can't execute fine, remains running for several seconds then something crashes. If I configure eth0 manually network works, so no hardware problem. I'm sure the board work…

Allwinner video HW decoding on A10/A20 using VDPAU and GLES zero-copy support for Linux There is (unofficial) support available for video HW decoding and embedding the video zero-copy via GLES within Kodi using libvdpau-sunxi and VDPAU, i.e. unlike the kodi support from rella/empatzero/others the GLES layering (video overlays) do work completely in this implementation. Additionally my driver implementation supports DivX/XVID/MS-MPEG and has sprite support for MPEG-4 over the official libvdpau-sunxi implementation. Additionally there is HW JPEG decoding support available in Kodi too, e.g. watching photos these get decoded via the Allwinner HW. (unluckily pic thumbnails…

Hi All! I had the same problem with several different kind of wifi SoC-s on an R1 board, with different operating systems: wifi is slow and unreliable in AP mode. Both with integrated RTL8192CU, an external RTL8192EU, RT3570 and RT5370, various Atheros chipset based dongles - all of them is very slow. I had no any problem on single-eth BananaPi board, but i got less than 2mbit up/download speed on a 30mbit+ network... I tried several OpenWrt versions (official 1,2,3 and latest trunk), now i tested Igor's ubuntu with the same result: slow and lagging Do You have same experience? Or is it working fast? Any idea? Hi all, I've been trying to install ft6x drivers on a nanopi neo air, which has armbian with legacy kernel, but it seems there is no support for ft6x capacitive touch panels. There is a code from Focaltech here, which is ft6x06 driver code. I added the code to kernel and compiled it, but the problem is: what should I do with fex file? Or is it right to do this? (I was not surprised that it didn't work). Can I change the current ft5x code to make ft6x works? There is also a support for ft6x family on mainline kernel. Is there any hope to adopt that code? Thanks.

Hi. I've been using my Cubietruck for some time now without any issues. It is not directly connected to the outside world and is only used for some home automation. It boots via SD -> the SSD and has an internal battery as UPS. Really happy with it. Last year I migrated from Wheezy to Jessi so now I am at: ARMBIAN Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 3.4.109-sunxi I still receive the updates via ap-get update && upgrade, however should I be updating major like kernel? As this thing is used for home automation I am not looking forward to large down times. ;-) tnx for your honest responses.

Hi Armbians In the last years I had the pleasure to have more then 30 Cubietruck boards in my hands to work with. Condition of the boards ranged from "new and still sealed" to "working but has been running for some months 24/7 alraedy". In this time, I learned a lot about this hardware and I learned that none of them seems to be 100% like any other of them. While one board crushes immediately when the power input goes under 5V for some secounds, another board in the same condition, same CT version and production date seems not to care about this and keeps working. Hello i use armbian on my orange pi and have a problem about the wifi connection. I have my orange pi near my 3D printer. When i plug it in, to boot the armbian it works great. But the orange pi will (SOMETIMES) not connect to my wlan. When i change the room and put it nearly my pc, it will connect without any problems... So i check the wifi quality: - near my pc i have a link quality 70/70 - near my 3d printer i have a link quality 64/70 and signal level: 46dBm is this to low for a easy connection?? thank you
