I know that the ILI9341 lcd are supported natively by armbian... But, now that i have received the lcd ordered some time ago: http://www.ebay.com/itm/311058563993 I'm trying to guess how i'm supposed to wire it to the cubietruck headers. Which are the pin numbers originally assigned to work with this lcd? Which are the correct options to load fbtft? I have digged around a little bit, but i can't find any working example.

Hello dear mates, first I want to thank zador.blood.stained for helping out with recompiling the DTB for A20 so we can enable PWM on Armbian. Link to his post :https://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/1817-using-pwm-without-rebuilding-kernel/ Now I'm seeking your help with this problem, after I added this code to the A20.dts file (I'm on a PCduino3 nano) &pwm { pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&pwm0_pins_a>, <&pwm1_pins_a>; status = "okay"; }; I'm able to compile the .dtb file, and after booting I can see the pwmchip0 on /sys/class/pwm. I can change the values for Polarity, Period, Duty_Cycle, Enable. The problem is, when I…

Hello all I want to control some GPIO pins on my NanoPi Neo (H3) board and installed WiringNP. Executing commands results in the error piBoardRev: Unable to determine board revision from /proc/cpuinfo I've traced the source of the error down to this line, where WiringNP tries to open /sys/class/sunxi_info/sys_info to determine which board it is running on. This path is not present in my Armbian os. I'm using 4.11.12-sun8i #20 SMP armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux Am I missing something here? Or are there alternatives to using WiringNP?

I have installed the latest stable Ubuntu desktop Legacy on BPI M1. The OS boot directly into the GUI. I am planning to use xrdp to remote desktop into OS from windows machine on same network. So I think it will be a good idea that BPI to boot directly into console to save some memory. If I need GUI then I can remotely connect from a windows machine. Is it a good approach? If yes, then how to configure to boot into console with minimum memory footprint.

Hi, I recently read from github testings of orange pi lite2 testing that wireless is working. But I download from the official website of https://dl.armbian.com/orangepilite2/Debian_stretch_dev_nightly.7z(built 0824) and burn it, it starts, but the wireless is missing. I also read that the firmware added ap6255 wireless driver, so I download https://beta.armbian.com/pool/main/a/armbian-firmware-full/armbian-firmware-full_5.59.180915_all.deb and installed it. After reboot, the wireless is still missing. So the support of wireless is built-in or usb? Should I build armbian myself with the lastest code to support the built-in wireless? Thank you.

Hello, a few months ago I wrote a tutorial to enable the 7" touch display for Banan Pi and Banana Pi Pro. Unfortunately the files (*.dts e.g. sun7i-a20-bananapro.dts) have changed and I don't know how to integrate the patches in the current armbian version. Does anybody know how to do it? Is there already a overlay to enable it? Thanks. Steffen

Hi folks, I'd like to build a simple rs485 interface onto an A20-OLinuxino-Micro board. Therefore I was looking into utilizing one of the UARTs (6 or 7) on EXT1 or EXT2, add an external driver chip to it and 'fork' the according kernel module to implement support for switching send/receive with the RTS line. While that seemed to be an easy approach, I already got stuck with the basics. :-( dmesg shows me [ 2.822776] printk: console [ttyS0] disabled [ 2.842962] 1c28000.serial: ttyS0 at MMIO 0x1c28000 (irq = 53, base_baud = 1500000) is a U6_16550A [ 2.843045] printk: console [ttyS0] enabled [ 2.866650] 1c29800.serial: t…

Hello All, m new to this forum and new to armbian. Probably someone can help me. Im trying to get an 64GB flash drive working on a Opi+ 2E. Using the eMMC storage for boot and the flash drive as "the hard disk". nand-sata-install gives me the option to install this combo but at the end the system boots in an infinite loop telling me something is missing on the USB drive. Installing to boot / root eMMC works like a charm. I mounted the USB on another linux system and the drive looks good. ext4 and a root filesystem as expected. Am i missing something? How to get the eMMC boot, USB root option up and running? OS: Armbian 5.20 (jessie server), updated / up…

I just tried my Orange Pi PC with a Samsung TV connected via the HDMI port. I'm able to log in to the desktop OK, but when screen updates happen (e.g. when I scroll around in the web browser) the display goes black momentarily, then comes back after a fraction of a second. This seems to be worse for some applications (e.g. the web browser) than others (e.g. terminal), and so far I haven't seen it while not running X. Also, playing videos (with mpv) does not cause it. I'm running this image with no customisations: http://image.armbian.com/Armbian_5.20_Orangepipc_Debian_jessie_3.4.112_desktop.7z Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi there, Recently you helped me to setup a WiFI AP on Armbian and a bananapim2p board: https://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/2395-access-point-mode-with-ap6212-on-armbian-521/ The current problem I am facing: the dhd module on armbian 5.25 does not on my bananapim2p boards. To be precise: I have one bananapi m2p where the dhd module loads perfectly on armbian 5.25, I created an image of this board's emmc and flashed the emmc of two different m2p boards. The dhd config file looks like: cat /etc/modprobe.d$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/dhd.conf options dhd op_mode=2 firmware_path=/lib/firmware/ap6212/fw_bcm43438a0_apsta.bin With the modprobe configuration the m2p board…

So I apologise in advance because I'm sure it's probably on this forum but I could not work out the buzzwords to find it. For whatever reason, I upgraded the cubietruck with armbian which has been on since forever and rebooted for the first time this year. On reboot it failed to find /boot and a few other things and kept bootlooping, resetting itself and then following the same procedure. I already had installed the system to my SATA SSD, so this isn't a huge deal. I've flashed the latest armbian release onto the SD card and it boots fine. Now, I see there is an install to sata option in armbian-config but it gives me the warning that it will wipe …

Hello everyone. I'm experiencing some strange issue with my cubieboard and its connection to the internet. I boot it up and it works correctly, but after a day or two, I can't communicate with it using a ssh program, or vnc viewer. My other two servers that uses Linux Mint is working normally, so I think the problem is not my router. (I even swapped the Ethernet cables between my servers). If I connect a display on my cubieboard and try to ping my Windows computer, then I'm able to ssh my cubieboard using my computer. Sometimes I'm unable to connect to my cubieboard via ssh using my windows and my Android phone, but if I try using my Linux machine, I can connect with…

Hello, I bought an orange pi plus 2 and connected it to the power supply, the android that is already installed recognized the mouse and keyboard without any problem. Hi, I installed armbian onto eMMC. Frankly, I expected better results. Please anybody confirm what I understood. 1. The sequence reading speed is 70MBytes/s. 2. The sequence writing speed is 10MBytes/s. 3. eMMC is not optimized for random operations. 4. When writing operation is performed, the system gets VERY SLOW to respond. And the couple of questions. 1. What utility and where to get to benchmark disks well? 2. Will USB SSD perform with better performance than eMCC? Thanks a lot in advance and hope to see this in the FAQ. Dmitry

Hi, I try without success to attach the a.m. adapter to my NanoPi Neo. OS is Armbian_5.25_Nanopineo_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113 I did two trials in order to install the driver: 1. Download the Edimax driver und run the install.sh script. Result: Error in the processing of the make file. 2. Followed an comprehensive advice from the net. Result: Error in kernel generation. Question: Has somebody got this device running on the Neo? And how you have performed this? Please consider, I am just a Linux user, but (unfortenately) no expert. Any hints are very welcome. Thanks, Walter

Switching between all kernel versions with armbian-config utility and all the same - they don't have quota module. Why there is no such necessary module? Is it possible to install this module and how? P.S. Sorry, maybe i have selected wrong chapter for my question

Hi, I have recently installed latest (20) Armbian Desktop for OPi PC(+), have problems installing software from network repo (synaptic). 1). Small version problem with one of Qt5 libraries (dependency for Kadu - Polish communicator GG client), synaptic wants version 1u1, on the net there is version 1u3. Installed using wget + dpkg, now Kadu starts (at least) OK. 2). PostgreSQL problem: there is version 11 of PgSQL provided, OK, it's current production. BUT there is PgAdmin3(!) in repo, which works with at most version 9.6 of PgSQL (from PgAdmin site). Now there is PgAdmin4, but (I) cannot make it work (compile from source OK, but doesn't start)., there is N…

Dear All, I have been downloaded the Armbian Buster OS from "https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-3/" link and flash on Orange pi3 board. We are tesing OPI3 board with TCL monitor [(Model : 55P8E) (Resolution: Ultra HD (4K) ) 55 inch ] but getting the blank screen on display. After that we changed the TCL monitor setting by HDMI 2.0 "OFF" from "Auto" mode then it's working fine. We have another monitor which does not have HDMI 2.0 OFF mode facility so we can't use our product in market due to this limitation. FYI : same thing we tested with fresh orangepi board (with default android image) and it working fine. It will be good if some…

I have several OpiOne Plus boards. They differ by the date of manufacture (let's say 1st batch and 2nd batch) 1st batch: Works with kernel 5.10.x but does not boot kernel 5.15.x. Red light is on, power meter shows very little consumption, ethernet does not go up. Switching to last available 5.10.x kernel resolves the situation. 2nd batch: Successfully work with both 5.10.x and work with 5.15.x. Green light is on, power meter shows adequate consumption, board works. I'm pretty sure, that no more "new" opi one plus will appear at Xunlong shop and this issue won't be fixed in visible future. But well.. How I can "freeze" kern…

Hello everyone, I am new to the world of Orange Pi 3 LTS 1.4 and Armbian. I have very recently installed this os on my Orange, it turns out to work almost everything correctly except Wifi and bluetooth. Hello, I have a cubieboard A10 connected to a SSD drive (transcend) trough the sata port. I use it as a headless server to run transmission, nfs and barracudadrive. The board runs from a sandisk 16gb µSD card, the data is on the SSD (with dynamic links). I use the standard legacy armbian image without DE. The SSD is powered by the board and the board is powered with a 2A 5V power supply, comming from a sony psp. If I measure the powerconsumption at the wallsocket, I measure 6W in idle and it goes up to 10W in use (so just enough for the power supply). Because there is a specialist here in powerconsumption (tkaiser), I wonder if it isn't possible to make …

Greetings to all, Preamble: Thanks to all that have worked to make the Armbian project what it is today. It is greatly appreciated! I have done numerous hours of reading and searching (due diligence). I know I could run a benchmarks and all but that means even more delay reaching the objective. Some brief guidance from those who have gone before would save a lot of time and would be greatly appreciated. Looking at the datasheets wasn't real helpful in guesstimating optimum performance configuration - especially since there are so many other factors that have an impact. Background: My objective is to achieve a reliable, long lif…

Board: NanoPi NEO Air SoC: Allwinner H3 (sun8i platform) Armbian Release: Bookworm (Debian 12 base) - Tested with both beta and stable repositories. Problem Description: The SPI device node (/dev/spidev0.0) does not get created on Armbian Bookworm for the NanoPi NEO Air, preventing the use of SPI peripherals. This issue occurs despite correctly enabling the sun8i-h3-spi-spidev overlay in /boot/armbianEnv.txt. Hello On my Banana PI infrared receiver is not detected at bootup. I'm running armbian 4.7 jessie. The only /dev/input device is that of axp20x-pekj, which I undestand to be a power controller. Hello. I am new to Armbian. My Banana PI M2 (already a disappointment, bad purchase on my part) is up and running but will not reboot all the way. It shuts down but does not restart again. Any ideas how to go about troubleshooting and fixing this? It is a deal breaker for what I planned to be a headless system. It needs to be restartable without physically pulling the plug to do so.

I use two Orange pi PC for music studio use with Jack, Ardour and several midi software to use with midi surface controls and keyboards. Everything works great with an external USB DAC but when I try to use the on board DAC through the HDMI output the sound comes out slowed down to maybe a third of the speed making everything sound like it's in slow motion. Any help to fix this would really be appreciated.

Using Firefox Send, expires after 7 days / 100 downloads. My own build - works nicely for me & installs to eMMC. 203.6 MB compressed. Use xz to decompress. Filename: Armbian_5.77_Orangepi3_Ubuntu_bionic_dev_5.0.4.img.xz https://send.firefox.com/download/e2961cb805fba655/#rquCw2FsaPvGQpVviByLHA

Hi there, I am trying to download the lime2 legacy image : https://www.armbian.com/olimex-lime-2/#kernels-archive But the link is dead (error 404). Any chance to get this back up? Or can I use another legacy image and just change the script.bin or is there other things to modify? Thanks Edit : I just found the image on olimex website : ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/A20-OLinuXino/2.legacy_images_kernel_3.4.x/
