Good Morning, I'm using the 5" LCD of LeMaker designed for Banana Pi. For some reason I changed from legacy Kernel to vanilla kernel. But now in the vanilla kernel touch screen driver isn't available anymore. In legacy kernel it the ft5x_ts module. Is there an other way to make my Display working with touch again? 4. Hi guys, today i wanted to access my BPi with armbian installed remote with SSH. Terminal says: port 22: Connection refused. I'm able to ping the BPi. At least last week I was able to access the BPi with remote SSH. When i connect it via HDMI i can see the boot process until it says loading kernel - then the screen turns all black and nothing happens anymore. If I try to access some installed webservices, the browser says it can't connect. What can I do?

When starting orange pi, it happens that not all the RAM is available. That is, the orange pi has 2 GB of RAM and it is written that there is only 1 GB of RAM. This often happens when restarting using the reboot command. If you turn off the power and reconnect, this problem appears much less often. 16. Hi everybody, I am looking for some advice and help for troubleshooting. Here is the current situation regarding my cubietruck: I have installed Armbian Stretch (mainline kernel 4.14.y or 4.17.y) from here https://www.armbian.com/cubietruck/ on a SD-card using etcher on Ubuntu. But after some time if I start to do something e.g. apt-get update / apt-get upgrade the system will freeze at some point. If i let the cubietruck on it's own it'll run for several hours without freezing. So the problem seems to be related eith…

  20. So I have a question... I'd like to manage Li-Ion battery operation on SBCs using the AXP209 power management chip (especially the Banana Pro, as that's what I have...) I soldered a connector to the battery terminals on my BPro for portable operation, and it would be nice to have some kind of solution to raise an alert at low battery charge (like via the onboard LEDs), and automatically call system shutdown at a certain level. Googling has shown that the AXP209 has an i2c interface for sensors, and there are a few scripts for reading battery status here: http://hardware-libre.fr/2014/11/banana-pi-axp209-battery-power-monitoring/ My current plan is to pro…

  22. I got Armbian (Jessie desktop) working on Orange PI PC. I did "sudo apt-get update" and then "sudo apt-get upgrade" and everything was ok until it said "Compiling headers (please wait)." It has now been on this step for a very, very long time. Is it stuck or does this take a ridiculously long time to complete? Should I shut it down and start over or keep waiting? The green light is staying on steady.

Hi there, while trying to solve the issue with OPi PC and rtl8188 (thread link) I managed to get console on the UART interface, nice feature considering my networking issues, btw is there a way to output the kernel messages (dmesg like) to the UART console in real time? I'm asking cos the issue that I'm trying to fix involves system freeze + automatic reboot and I would like to see the logs during the event. I already tried to mess with printk, but it's very likely I've done something wrong.

Especially boooting (i think armbian is throtteling on boot right?) is also very interessting. I need to buy a Powersupply which is sufficient for 15 NanoPi Boards in min and max consumption. Got very confused in reading the threads... But it seems 5V/2A is just a "be save in every situation" thing, and i think there is a "window" of throtttled booting and full-load 4 Core... So would…

  31. Hey. I'm trying to install octoprint on my Opi Zero +2, using the latest armbian image I found here on the site. Installation works fine, and I get the web interface up and running no problem. But I have connected power to the board on the gpio pins, and want to use the mini-usb to connect to the 3d printer. I have enabled usbhost0-3 in the hardware in armbian-config, but still it seems the printer cannot be reached. I read some older posts regarding other boards, where the solution seemed to be recompiling. Is this a necessity, and if so, could someone please point me to a walkthrough? Regards Anders

Hi guys, first I want to thank you for your marvelous work. I've learned much... I've ordered a Nano Pi Neo Air and two Nano Pi Neo from Friendly Arm which arrived last week to build some squeezelite clients and drop them around the house. In the threads of the Forum, the information is scattered and it takes so much time for each to get along. So I thought such a document would help to become not only faster, but to achieve a better result as well, as you can faster spend time with the device and tweak it. My know how is getting better, but things are still missing. If you like to help the 'community' with your know how, please leave comments in the document if you find errors or you find something missing. 50. Hey, I was wondering if anyone came across the board layout files. If eagle cad files were available that would be great! I'm assuming that they dont exist.. Or has someone designed a hat or shield for the OPi0? I want to design one and was hoping someone else beat me to it. If not i'll just have to measure it out and make it. I dont want to reinvent the wheel so that would be cool Thanks

Can anyone provide any information on getting the GPU driver working with a Banana Pi M2 Zero? It supposedly has a Mali 400 GPU. In my tests, it seems I am stuck with Mesa software rendering with OpenGL. When I write a program that creates an OpenGL 2.0 ES context, the vendor and renderer both list Mesa and performance is terrible (2-10 fps and GLSL shaders are incorrect) when rendering even the simplest scenes. I am using DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) with boots straight to a CLI and no desktop environment if that makes any difference. With the same code and same conditions on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, OpenGL works perfectly in my tests. I am usin…

  53. I recently picked up an Orange Pi Zero 3 and have been trying to figure out how to get the i2c pins working on the GPIO. The pinout shows pins 2 and 3 (229 and 228 according to the orange pi version of wiringPi) being used to i2c-3. The downloadable images seem to be hodge-podge with the orange-pi-os version based on arch linux. But their instructions appears to be based on earlier orange pi models that had an Orange Pi OS based on armbian which included a 'orangepi-config' command similar to raspi-config. There is no orangepi-config in the arch-based Opi-OS. A third party image from leeboby includes a current buster version of Raspbian but while it contains raspi-co…

  66. Hello, I have just bought a bananaPro. I would like to learn a little by installing armbian and enabling the video acceleration. Currently, I have no LCD display, so I would start to install Debian Wheezy or Debian Jessie (legacy) so that to be able to log in through ssh. Nevertheless, on the download page for bananaPro it is said that "Mali drivers fails to compile". Is this driver mandatory for video acceleration to work ? I figured out it was rather related to cedarX. Then, which armbian image is best suited ? Thanks in advance for some piece of advice. Best regards deb2016

  80. As soon as I installed the latest version of the Wheezy I have found that there is some problem with an USB. When I start my Orange PI I can see that USB devices are power supplied from the bus only first a few seconds (when the bootloader is active I guess) and then being switched off. When I plug an USB device and supply it externally then it seems to be working well. My question is: how to switch on power supply of the USB port on my Orange PI? I have read a number of linux forums and found nothing. Very promising seems a command echo on > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1/power/level or similar but unfortunately it has no effect. Any hint, guys? Thanks a lot. Radek

  94. Device: Orange Pi +2e. Builds 20.20, 20.05, 20.08 The Armbian Boot Logo is shown only when we boot from SD Card. Do nand-sata-install to eMMC and boot from eMMC, the logo disappears. Could this be a timing issue as it boots faster on eMMC? I do not see any flicker or flash during u-boot. --Rajesh

  95. Hello, please tell me why Chromium does not work on Orange Pi Prime? Здравствуйте, подскажите пожалуйста, почему не работает Chromium на Orange Pi Prime?

  96. Hello, I have an OrangePi Zero H2 which until recently was running almost flawlessly with the Armbian_5.38_Debian_stretch_4_14_14 image. When I did a kernel upgrade using "apt-get dist-upgrade" (because I had earlier the error message ~"failed to Load Kernel Modules", and dist-upgrade was recommended), and this dist-upgrade failed inbetween (probably because of power consumption), the SD card was left in unbootable state. (error msg see below [1]) I concluded that the /boot directory was corrupted, so from a new installation of Armbian_5.38_Debian_stretch_4_14_14 made elsewhere I copied all the /boot directory over to my SD card. This m…

I'm currently playing with a Banana Pi M1 + and don't seem to be able to get the GPIO to work. I *think* that I have correctly mapped the IO pins that I am using through the schematic and fex file to find the corrisponding GPIO number for debian. When playing around in /sys/class/gpio I am able to export the GPIO pin that I'm looking for and change it's properties, direction, value etc. However these changes don't seem to appear on the physical IO pins. I noticed that some of the pins that I'm using are shared by UART 2, so I have disabled that in the FEX file but still no luck. I have a feeling that this is probably going to be DTB related, however I'm a …
