Hello Guys. What Armbian version and image would you recommend? I have a TESLA MediaTech X700 Pro with soc s905x2 in it. I would like to use it to play movies via kodi and play retro games e.g. via RetroArch. Previously I used CoreELEC on an sd-card that is great for movies. Retro gaming only with wired Xbox One or Xbox Series controllers (xone driver for MS USB Xbox dongle did not work there). I would like to use my Xbox controllers wirelessly. Hello I newly installed a community armbian image to my Alfawise H96 ProPlus TV box. All seems to be working except sshd. I found out, that is because of not existing /run/sshd directory. After creating this directory the systemctl start ssh wokrs, but until the next reboot. The image I used is Armbian_23.8.0-trunk.51_Aml-s9xx-box_lunar_edge_6.2.16.img. Thanks

Hi guys, I am new here. I have a generic board powered by armlogic 905x. I have installed armbian on this board with this image : Armbian_21.08.1_Amlogic-GXL_bullseye_current_5.10.60.img.xz. Everything went OK, I could ssh the server, but when let server idle for about an hour, I couldn't ssh again, ping also didn't work, seem like server went on sleep mode. How to solve this problem? Hi, I tried to install Armbian in the recent days, but I wasnt unable because the image says "Map file error" or the update app will not read the Micro SD card (Armbian 23) I was wondering, where can I get this image of Armbian "Armbian_20.05.1_Arm-64_focal_current_5.6.2_desktop_20200408.img" ? On x96max+ with sm1-sei610-2 (from dgm78) hdmi sound works perfectly(sd card). Albeit only thing that is not working is hdmi output and wifi. Hi all, I just managed to install Armbian to my Minix Neo U1 on sd card. I read the faq and found that installing on eMMC is better than on sd card because eMMC is faster and more durable. Now I'm curious that if I'm booting from eMMC: 1. How can I boot from sd card again? Just in case something's wrong with the eMMC etc. 2. Can I still use a blank sd card for storage? Or there shouldn't be an sd card attached because it will try to boot from sd card? Thank you

Hello all, After installing armbian, it was given the ip 192.168.1.16 by my router's dhcp. I changed the ip address using armbian-config to 192.168.1.88 Now it has 2 ip addresses and I can access both of them. How can I remove one from dhcp? Thank you

Hi all, I managed to install Armbian on a X96 Linux TVBox with 4Gb RAM and 32Gb ROM. I've build the image following the Armbian Build Framework. - v25.08 rolling for aml-s9xx-box running Armbian Linux 6.12.37-current-meson64 I reused the DTB that originally comes with the BOX and almost everything seems to work. So I've got two of these old android tv boxes, both running the S912 chipset, and both are pretty much dead at this point. Trying to figure out if it's worth the effort to revive them or if I should just toss them already. On both boxes: no display through hdmi at all, not even a logo or flicker. Tried the toothpick trick for recovery screen with power plugged in, no reaction. Keyboard and mouse don't get picked up when connected. And when I hook them up to my laptop with a usb to usb cable, the boot light does turn on so they're clearly getting power, but the box itself never shows up anywhere on the laptop, not even in device manager after installing the usb burning t…

Hi I have x96 box with s905x cpu, a long time ago i flashed it with libreelec and it was running from emmc only without a problem. Now flashed armbian to emmc but bootloader works only from usb or sdcard (cannot see mmc). Tried images s905x and s905x-t95 - same result. Is this a result of some misconfiguration/image selection or ..? Currently using sdcard for boot partition only as workaround.

It's a s905w2 chip. I can only find dtb 2gb. It's a newer chip so I'm looking for a boot one. Not at all. Thank you for answering.

Hi. Running buster on Amlogic 912 arm box T95Z Max. As mentioned, the ethernet doesnt work but wifi does. Tried all the dtbs, no dice. Also, wanted to transfer the OS from SD to EMMC but neither does armbian-config have the boot option nor does nand-sata-install work. It says unrecognised command. Have absolutely no clue where to go from here. Any help appreciated.

Hi, I have a H96 prop plus tv box, which I managed to install and works fine. I want to highlight the work done here, where the dtb modified to be "meson-gxm-q200-mod.dtb" which works well, except that the OS cannot be moved to eMMC. Can I check if this dtb can be the default in the device selection list (203 is the number for this device) . Currently thr default dtb is meson-gxm-octopus-planet.dtb, which does not have the wifi and bluettoth working. Also, can the mainline boot file can be dafaulted to "u-boot-s905x-x912x.bin" file? I use the x96 air 2g_100m (s905x3) version. I used Armbian for amlogic(bulls_eye, xfce) boxes as specified in the tutorial here. I tried with many dtbs, (it even had one named x96 air) all of the didn't work. So I tried the u-boot.ext file from this Manjaro for Arm tutorial. (The link for the archive). This combined with 'meson-sm1-x96-air.dtb' file worked great and I was able to boot from SD card without any hiccups. And for the first time, the onboard wifi was working flawlessly. Hello everyone, I read a lot of threads regarding my problem but couldn't find the solution. Could someone kindly help me? I have a TVbox with S905x and Android installed, I would like to install armbian, I downloaded the ISO, renamed the u-boot file for S905x to u-boot.ext and modified the file "/extlinux/extlinux.conf" leaving only the line without comment with S905x. When I do "update" from Android it makes me choose a .zip file, copy something and then reboot. Unfortunately, however, the system restarts with Android as if nothing had happened. What am I wrong? Hi, I've got some kind of development TV box based on S905X, but I don't see any push button on whole board except power on button. There is no separate button or even AV socket. I looked everywhere and no idea. Do you guys have any other way to run multiboot on this type of board? Just to let you know, I was able to run Armbian on other devices but with some annoying Mediatek WiFi chipset which doesn't have proper drivers.
