I have a problem. I try to boot "Armbian_5.67_Aml-s9xxx_Debian_stretch_default_4.19.7_20181228.img.xz" on a S905L 3B TV box, the ditb file use the default one (it works for S905L). I use a TTL to USB device to check signal, and it started to login stage. However, the LAN port and HDMI port seem not work, as I can' t use SSH to connect to Armbian and I can't see any thing on the screen. So I guess maybe the dtb file is not suitable, and there may not be a suitable dtb for S905L3B. Could I modfiy a dtb file based on the S905L dtb file and the dtb file from the Andriod system in the S905L 3B TV box?

Hi all, I was running Armbian as a LAMP server on x96Max board on emmc. I was using a USB Wifi dongle, and also a USB thumbdrive for local storage. Everything was working great..24/7 for a few weeks. Then suddenly just stopped. Now the board won't start-up at power-on. Tried toothpick reset, and also I've tried several PSUs, which work ok with other boards. I have a 5V/4A PSU, and a couple of 5V/2A PSUs. There's no LED, and no HDMI signal. And the Wifi dongle doesn't light up (so the OS isn't starting). Also I've checked for voltage 5VDC at different points on the board - eg the USB ports, and there is…

I got an CS918 box, which is based on the rk3188 system. i already played around with probably the most common tools on linux (rkflashkit, upgrade tool ...) Unfortunately there are some dead download links out there, so i cannot download the most interesting img files. I'd prefer a debian img, but ubuntu will do the job too. I also tried out some steps from the "morrison-project" with its interesting scripts, but it didnt work yet. Thank you for any ideas and links. Greetings CS918

  30. I have a number of headless AML S905 / S912 1GB Ram TV boxes running a bastardised Armbian for systems monitoring. I have a 200MB zram compressed block device setup to store temporary data which gets processed locally then synced to a command server every hour because the eMMC's on these cheap boxes do not last very long under sustained write scenarios. I would like to increase the zram filesystem size to 500MB so I only have to sync daily instead of hourly but because 25% of the RAM is allocated to the GPU/VPU I dont have enough available ram All the devices I have seen seem to allocate approx 250MB for the GPU which is obviously wasted in a headless scenario…

Hi I'm in the market for a cheap Linux Bo and from what I see it seems these Android TV boxes are the cheapest. I basically want a system I can just muck around with about, but also one that has working WiFi, can play 1080p video in H264 and H265 and can surf the web/play YouTube without much issue. I'm not interested in the boxes Android capabilities, I'm interested in if it can run a desktop Linux with things above. Essentially Wifi, Hardware decoding of H264/5 video and acceptable video playback on the Internet. Considering a raspberry pi with all the needed things costs more than one of these boxes it is a very nice alternative, but in a sea of…

Balbes150, I made a image with your git lib and 905X kernel. Using your config-4.9.26+ with settings non debug and 1000Hz timer and using Debian testing Xfce repos. Why it uses only half screen with Sunvell T95Z Plus Amlogic S912? To get this far you need to fix a lot of gcc 6.3 compilation errors from the display driver. In many places { and } were missing in if statements and there were two illegal C code lines like it would be a python program. There is no audio driver and I tried to port it from the 3.14 kernel, but it is too much work. The linux mainline kernel can have support for hdmi and audio soon: http://linux-meson.com/doku.php . …

Put in an old D-Link DWL-G122 usb stick and whilst it's recognised by the usb sub system no driver gets loaded. I have installed armbian-firmware-full and there seems to be relevant firmware for the RALINK devices. but iwconfig does nothing and the device does not show up in "nmtui" I have to admit it's probably 13-14 years since I had to manually do anything with a linux driver so I am rusty!
