Hi I am looking to download the u-boot files for my espressobin that should be here: https://dl.armbian.com/espressobin/u-boot/ as pointed out by https://www.armbian.com/espressobin/ but they've been giving 404 for a while.

  2. QUESTION: I downloaded the BUSTER image (19.11.6 / 5.4.8) .img. In my .GNUPG directory, there is only an empty 'private keys' directory. Is this supposed to be like this or should there be 2 'text' documents next to the 'private keys' directory? One of my former buster downloads from a year ago or so, I know there were 2 simple text documents in the .gnupg directory. I am trying to learn how to send an encrypted message using gpg, but haven't been successful, yet. I was thinking that maybe there is a problem with my .gnupg directory and this is why I'm running into a snag with it. Thank you.

Hi! I've been running two sbc (Odroid HC2) for about 1,5 years. I recently realised that the os it is running on is outdated (Debian Stretch with Armbian Linux 4.14.150-odroidxu4). There is a nextcloud instance running on it and I really (!) like the stability of my setup. So far, I've had one (1) crash in 1,5 years on a system that is running 24/7, maybe heat related in the hot summer. Reboot automatically once a week, nightly off-site backup, login via ssh-keys. So my question is...: Shall I update and if yes shall I do this from a fresh install or is there a built-in way? Thanks!

  4. After installing Ubuntu Focal 20.08.17 (on Pine A64), I have noticed the following. Searching for packages which are not fully installed with dpkg -l|grep -v ^ii returns systemd-timesyncd. This can be fixed by purging the package with dpkg -P systemd-timesyncd but it is better if the image is shipped with this already fixed. Can other users confirm this issue and can it be fixed when building the image?

I have a Nanopi R2s but this is generic to most boards without an inbuilt battery backed RTC. I have added a battery backed 1307 module on the I2C bus and gone through the process of getting it recogised and used. As far as it goes that's fine. The problem is the RTC is only read late in the boot process so the first part of the syslog record has incorrect date and time. Is there any way to force systemd to process the 1307 at the very start? I tried hacking the non-battery backed RTC script but it didn't take. Another option is to get the pre-systemd processes to read from the 1307 and set the inbuilt RTC before systemd starts using it? …

  7. Hi all, can anyone explain to me how the boot process of an ODROID-HC2 looks in detail, please? for example, my microSD card is /dev/mmcblk1 and it contains only one partition /dev/mmcbl1p1. Questions: a) I think the ODROID-HC2 can exclusively boot from a microSD card, is this correct? Without sdCard the boot process is not possible, right? b) where exactly sits the bootloader? is it in a certain sector of the microSD card and if so where exactly and how long? or does the ODROID-HC2 trying to read at specific addresses and if so where? c) can u-boot only process the first partition of the block device or would it be theoretica…

  9. Hello everyone, maybe I can get a solution here. My banana Pi M1 mainly runs as an energy-saving recording module for web radio etc. and is occasionally updated "by hand". Since I felt the bananian was hopelessly outdated, armbian runs on the dwarf. Recently there was also the update from 5.10 to 5.15. Kernel included: linux-dtb-current-sunxi/focal 22.02.1 armhf [aktualisierbar von: 21.08.2] linux-image-current-sunxi/focal 22.02.1 armhf [aktualisierbar von: 21.08.2] Unfortunately, the banana Pi can no longer be shut down cleanly, kernel panic, hangs and does not switch off. So my questions are, is it wise to boot from the SD card and have the system on the emmc because the sd card can die faster? And if I boot from the SD card and it needs to be replaced, can I just insert a new one and everything will work as before? Now I only get "Starting Linux", which means that output is send to serial console not tty from what I read. I read that I'd have edit uEnv.txt in order to solve the console issue and continue debugging the issue, but I cannot find this file anywhere on the partition. I tried to revert boot.scr but this did not change anything. I probably could revert to the old kernel by changing the symlinks as well, but I would rather like to use the new kernel....

Hi, I just updated my armbian current to 5.10.35 and I'm quite excited, as pwm and gpio works as with LE :) Then I tried to mount some nfs-shares from nas. Usually I only have to install nfs-common. I did that on armbian, but when I try to mount a share, I get the error message, that nfs protocol (version) is not supported. The used command work on every other system I have (desktop and rockpi). I just use 'nfs' as filesystem type - no version specified/requested. Is there something special on armbian, to have nfs support enabled?
