I'm having an aggressive memory leak issue I can't place: Within 5 minutes the 4GB are full. htop and top don't show a massive program growing unbouded. `df` doesn't show a tmpfs that is too large. Only `slabtop` is imforative: OBJS ACTIVE USE OBJ SIZE SLABS OBJ/SLAB CACHE SIZE NAME 26638624 26638624 99% 0.12K 832457 32 3329828K kmalloc-128 So `kmalloc-128` is growing without bounds. As I understand it kmalloc is a collection of smaller memory allocations? I've tried using a previous kernel version (5.10.16 and 5.10.12) but nada. I've disabled docker, and that along with omv were the only services running…

  2. Hello, I have been trying to get back to a working nanopc-t4. I'm traveling with an almost worthless computer since I accidently let armbian update itself. The next few days I have access to a TV. To get my screen to work I convert the - media - version to support dtb overlays, the build the driver and overlay. This needs the build in the modules to be present. Using uname -r gives me this path. usr/lib/modules/6.2.0-rc8-media/build I can install Linux headers through armbian-config. That does nothing for allowing make in the modules which is what I need. What am I missing and how do I get…

  3. Hello all, I was setting up a my favorite SBC of all time, the Orange Pi +2E, and I can't believe that I've been so oblivious to this issue for so long, and that there is no easy solution!!! OK, so I'm doing a massive hardware clearout, and I've getting to my OPI's. Part of this hardware clearout is to finish the project I started (if feasible and still useful). I have loads of approx. Intel DC 3000 series SATA drives around 80-200 GB, and I thought these would be perfect "user data" SSD's for each of the SSD's. But then I realized... and my heart sank as I realized this issue is a problem across most OPi boards after consulting the table. …

Hello, According to the changelogs on https://docs.armbian.com/Release_Changelog/, the 20.08 version on September upgrade the EspressoBin to the Kernel 5.6 and the next version 20.08.3 it was updated to the 5.8 kernel. When I go to the archives for the Espressobin (https://archive.armbian.com/espressobin/archive/) I cannot find the 5.6 version. Is there any reasons for that or is a missing link? Kind regards,

Hi I am having problems with my OrangePi +2e. It may be failing and need replacing but I would like to make sure it is not some other issue first. I use the OrangePi +2e as a Network attached audio (NAA) device for HQPlayer running on a MacMini. Since installing Stretch . The NAA now shows H3 Audio Codec as well as the usb input for my digital audio converter. This did not show up when using Xenial. Is there a command to disable H3 Audio Codec? it may be causing a conflict issue? I am unable to return to Xenial as NAA software no longer supports it. Thanks in advance Carl Mawer

  7. I'm using Armbian bullseye on an Odroid HC2 with 2 GB of RAM with OpenMediaVault. Its memory usage used to be around 10% before starting any docker services, and a cool 50-60% while running things like Nextcloud, Vaultwarden etc. It used to jump to around 80% when some headless Chromium processes ran intermittently, but overall, it's been quite stable. I don't recall to make any significant changes to the system, yet suddenly the baseline memory usage jumped to around 50%, making my system extremely slow and unstable, with service and system restarts now occuring several times a day. I couldn't extract any useful clue about what's using all that RAM, with `sys…

I ran the ./compile.sh script and it built the image, but I only want the linux-tools binaries to copy over. I'm not sure how to get it to build them, when I go into the kernel tools folder and do "make all" it builds the binaries for x64 instead of for arm64. I looked through the kernel config file when running ./compile.sh script but can't find an option to build the linux-tools. I'm not sure how to add it so that they are built for the target system arm64.

  16. Hello. I am wondering if anyone here has Xenomai working for Amlogic platforms? I'm particularly interested in applying Xenomai to Le Potato/Sweat Potato. According to them, Xenomai is current and working for the Amlogic S905X3 (Odroid C4), though I have failed to find any source, patches, or images for that board. As far as I can tell, aside from some minor performance improvements here and there, the Odroid C4's SoC layout is very comparable to what the Potato boards have. So I only expect minor changes, if anything, to go from that SoC to the Potato's SoC. Xenomai's own guide to porting the dovetail interface is pretty good; I'll do that if I have too. I…

  28. Hi all, i just stumbled upon the Bana Pi M4 Zero while searching for an pi zero 2w alternative that features at least 5ghz network support. My use case is explained quickly, I want to use g_mass_storage to create an smart usb stick device. 57. Hi, First post here. I'm fairly new with Armbian. I have a LibreComputer Le Potato that I want to use for Home Assistant. To avoid all the hassle of setting up Home Assistant with docker, I used the Armbian imager to install the Armbian 26.2.1 Home Assistant on an SD card. Once the SD card was flashed, I put it into the Le Potato board. The board starts up fine, asks for the root password, creates a new user and so on. Later on, the Preparing Home Assistant Supervised window appears. However, after the first round to 100% I get a "RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument" on the screen. The preparation goes on and on, moving the progress bar ove…

Just installed Armbian on a Rock Pi4 to run OMV as a nas. I have a desktop installed. Install went OK but I have a weird problem, the menu has a different language for some items. Items in the main menu that have sub-groups have the other language, not sure what it is, possibly Cyrillic, but the sub-groups are in English. So, for instance, under accessorioes, accessories is not english but everything in its pop-up menu is. I've set the locale and language to GB, I'm in the UK but the menu doesn';t change.
