I can not believe it can be complicated... and again I have no idea what to do? Any help.... /R

I installed xrdp in armbian-config, and RDPed in, there was no wallpaper, no desktop icon, no mouse icon and windows I opened looks weird (but xfce taskbar shows up) I came to the conclusion that it has something to do with auto login, so a quick google leads me to this instruction, I commented the line in "/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/22-armbian-autologin.conf" out, reboot, and the RDP environment works great. Except now there is lightdm-gtk-greeter process in the background that is taking 100% CPU usage in full clock speed, the board became hot (>70 degree Celsius) very quickly. …

  33. Orange Pi PC+ I have been using an image generated in 2019 (based on Debian 9) to develop code for a project. On the development machine it works well. I moved it to a machine running a custom Armbian build (simply having removed drivers that weren't necessary - sound etc. - and requiring that u-boot not search USB devices before starting the kernel) that was based on the same version (reported as Debian 9). But now, whenever the Adapter is plugged into the SBC, it doesn't boot and aborts with a kernel panic. I've read about this issue already in other forums and it seems to be a common problem with the PCIe Implementation on the RK3399. Usually, one just implements a delay between pci link training and scanning…

Unfortunately, like most, i do not have access to every SBC out there. 51. Hi Folks, In my continuing adventures in Armbian (coming from RHEL/Fedora professionally), I've discovered that Jessie uses very old packages for various things I'd like to use to get closer to a Fedora-like experience. For example, I'd really like to use https://packages.debian.org/testing/net/firewalld. Any advice you could give on how to use some testing packages on Armbian? I thought ensuring 'backports' was listed in my /etc/apt/sources.list file would do it but alas no dice. I've tried the following command based upon this Debian wiki page: https://wiki.debian.org/Backports#Installing_backports_on_the_command_line # aptitude -t jessie-backports insta…

  58. Hi there. More than a year ago i started a project on this CPU and mainly succeeded with Nanopc-T4 board, old Armbian (5.95/4.4.179) and a custom DTB. The hardware project included the SBC and a Chinese TFT dashboard-style display panel (thus - MIPI/DSI, as I could not find the same for LVDS). Mainly using the poke-and-peek method I collected the way to mod the DTS so the DSI port is active, and the display worked like a charm. Mostly I pasted the DSI part from OrangePi DTS. 93. v5.04 / 1.3.2016 section in https://docs.armbian.com/Release_Changelog/ says "suspend to RAM and resume by power button works now (consumption less than 0.4W without peripherals)". I'm looking for the board that works "suspend to RAM". I have a NanoPi NEO, but it seems not. Please tell me if "suspend to RAM" works on your board. Thanks. suspend to RAM and wakeup instruction: $ echo mem > /sys/power/state then, press "power key".

Hi, I am running OrangePI lite with 5.65 Xenial. I followed tutorial on using overlayroot here "How to freeze your filesystem". However, when I run overlayroot-chroot to make changes, I am getting the following error when I modify files: "Read-only file system". Here is output of 'mount': /dev/mmcblk0p1 on / type ext4 (ro,relatime) proc on /proc type proc (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime) tmpfs on /run type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,noexec,relatime,size=50696k,mode=755) sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime) I tried running mount to make it read-write: mount -o remount,rw /dev/mmcblk0p1 #make changes, revert back mount -o remount,ro /dev/mmcb…

I did enable Hotspot in armbian-config and that creates 172.24.1.1 for the WLAN adapter and 172.24.1.50 - 172.24.1.150 for DHCP. I want to change it to 172.29.2.1 First thing i did was changing the dnsmasq.conf to: interface=wlx647002073fb2 # Use interface wlx647002073fb2 listen-address=172.29.2.1 # Explicitly specify the address to listen on bind-interfaces # Bind to the interface to make sure we aren't sending things elsewhere domain-needed # Don't forward short names bogus-priv # Never forward addresses in the non-routed address spaces dh…

Hi Armbian Community, I am trying to get the Coral/Google NPU (M.2 PCIe key) to work with the NanoPC-T4. Without success. I built Armbian with linux headers (5.4.48) and was able to apt install the gasket-dkms package. (The EdgeTPU requires Google's Gasket and Apex drivers to be built as modules with DKMS, and thus requires the linux headers to be installed at /usr/src). Also, there was no conflicting Gasket or Apex module in the Armbian release prior to install (an issue found by other EdgeTPU systems on other distros). My problem, I believe, has to do with the NanoPC-T4's PCIe. I have tried many different kernels (FriendlyElec's Core/Des…

  100. Hi all, Recently I tried to replace the wireless module on NanoPi Neo Air and met some very strange phenomenon. I just solder off the AP6212 module and then replace it with an AP6234 module. When I use the factory FriendlyCore system with brcmfmac43340-sdio.bin & brcmfmac43340-sdio.txt in /lib/firmware/brcm, everything works ok. But when I use armbian system, the wifi just not work. It always down after about 10 seconds when the bcm43340 firmware load. And I remember previously armbian system works fine for AP6212, but AP6212A not work and has the similar problem with AP6234. I just build the the armbian use the mainline 4.14.…
