Hi, seems after some system updates SNMP stop reporting data about storage (size/used). It happen on 2x Orange PI One and on one Orange PI PC2. Actually in monitor what I use for SNMP monitoring I see last valid data was there at 05/09. I think at this time I update all boards and as I remmember there was also some update for snmpd. Can anyone confirm this problem ? And when we talk about SNMP, what is best way to change default logging level for SNMP ? Seems changing in /etc/default/snmpd doesnt have effect and after last update I must again edit files in /lib/systemd to stop that annoying flood in log from SNMP. OPI PC2 - 4.…

I see a lot of other Plus versions of Orange pi boards listed, but not the plain Orange Pi +. Seems easy to miss ;] A little searching found the Orange Pi + is supported https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-plus/ Am I just missing the link in Downloads? 6. Hi! I successfully set up a headless web server using an Orange Pi PC, and Armbian Stretch (mainline kernel 4.14.y). I installed MySQL, PHP 7, and a custom web application built with Symfony. To create the usb drive I just cloned the partition of the sd card (not the whole card, just the ext4 partition), I don't know if that can be the issue. here is the full log: https://pastebin.com/jPEkMnYq Any ideas?

  10. Hello guys, I am experiencing such a problem: When I boot my orangepi it starts and it is visible in the router's page view getting IP with dhcp. As soon as I connect over ssh (at least this is the way to trigger it, not sure if it is hapening automatically after a while), the device disappears from the network and it is no more available! I have seen this behaviour happening on 2 different routers. Then I rebooted the device again and in the router config I put the same IP statically linked to the device and I tried to connect over ssh and it worked without disappearing anymore. So it sounds like a bug somewhere using dhcp protocol. Is som…

Hi, I'm trying to send IR command from a IR led from an Orange Pi, i have it working fine on an Arduino, but it seems that on linux it's a bit more complicated as there are no lib that can control a GPIO with an IR transmitter, it seems that everybody is using LIRC. I see for raspberry pi this needs to be done : EDIT /etc/modules WITH : lirc_dev lirc_rpi gpio_in_pin=23 gpio_out_pin=22 the Orange PI devier module is different, so i do not know how to control it to let it know where the transmitter is. Anybody managed to get this to work ? Thx

  15. Hi gang. I am having a consistent problem changing the board over boot from the SD with the system on any kind of USB attached drive. The drive I want to put it on is a 1t ssb, which otherwise formats fine, over and over again, burns images on it fine (though rpi doesn't like how much power it grabs). But I duplicated the problem with a formatted SD card in a reader in the USB port as well. The same error message appeared. Now I have to say that I have read this post here: to see if there was anything unique to the H3 to accomplish this, but Igor said there to just follow the simple directions at Getting Started, which though dated, still work close…

  23. When the system call # /sbin/fstrim --all the process enters intermittent sleep, and all the following processes gradually obtain the same state. In crontab it appears as a task of the # fstrim -v / system, the same command if I do it manually also has the same result of never ending and blocking the other processes little by little until the system is totally blocked. Can it be disabled? As a check that is compatible with the microsd? Any recommendation?

Hi everyone! Follow instructuions https://linux-sunxi.org/Sunxi-Cedrus to setup hw decoding everyone need kernel with flags: CONFIG_MEDIA_SUPPORT CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER_REQUEST_API CONFIG_V4L_MEM2MEM_DRIVERS CONFIG_VIDEO_SUNXI_CEDRUS Images from armbian repo is without one of them - CONFIG_V4L_MEM2MEM_DRIVERS So my proposal is to make kernel for desktop prebuilds with this flag, if its possible ofcourse. Im understand that is opensourse project, so my help can be like that - i have really much space on Y.Drive and i can share folder to minimize download usage of armbian repo.

What can explain such difference? Is my RAM running slower?

  47. When using armbian-config to select an overlay ("DTO001")e.g. for uart2, one is offered the full names w/ overlay prefix, e.g. sun7i-a20-uart2. The system adds this to armbianEnv.txt: overlays=sun7i-a20-uart2 But it has also the line overlay_prefix=sun7i-a20 In the end, uart2 is not activated (no output from /dev/ttyS1) - after changing the overlay line to overlays=uart2, I can read from /dev/ttyS1. I saw some options in YouTube how to enable TRIM, but just want to ask for opinion of people with SSD drives, who already managed to boot from SATA with SSD. setenv load_addr "0x44000000" setenv overlay_error "false" # default values setenv verbosity "1"…

Earlier I was able to mmap() /dev/fb0 to display graphics in a tty. On Focal 20.04, running linux 5.4.43-sunxi64 , mmap() on /dev/fb0 is failing with EPERM (operation not permitted). Is this new error something anybody knows about or could give a link to find a possible driver change that's responsible? It seems there might be a few different video drivers on this system and I haven't looked at them before. /sys/class/graphics/fb0/name contains sun4i-drmdrmfb /sys/class/gr…

One of the main new features that i really like is custom sampling frequency compared to the original driver for linux kernel 3.4 (i just remember the interval are 2 seconds). I want to use AXP209 PMU for power/energy profiling and consumption study of some SBC such as Banana Pi/Pro and some other Allwinner based SBC as comparison. The question is How i want to know current sampling frequency from PMU and how to change the frequency? Now, when it boots, all the output text goes to the bottom line of the screen, with each line overwritting the previous one (no scroll). Then it asks for username, and when I type it it asks for password, overwritting the username I typed. And it probably displays the wellcome banner, but I just see the last line of the banner. Once logged, I have to type "clear" and then I can use the full screen, and it scrolls. That happens on the console, if I start a new session from another machine (using PuTTY) it works fine. 71. Hello! In order to compile software on my Banana Pi running Armbian 5.27 Debian 8, I started off uncommenting the "# deb-src" lines in /etc/apt/sources.list and then ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. So how can I upgrade my system without loosing AppleTalk (which I configured as a kernel module when compiling two years ago)? …

Hi all, I'm currently running Armbian 5.36 Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS 4.11.1-sun50iw2. This was / is a local armbian build that I performed a few months ago to resolve an issue that I saw at that time in the network stack that prevented ipsec working correctly. I've performed apt update / apt upgrade since however cat /proc/version still reports the version as that which I manually built back in June. Fast forward to today and I'd like to try out some traffic shaping tc rules but I'm running into some difficulty, which is making me doubt if my kernel has the support needed for iproute2. 84. Hi there, I've been trying for a few hours now to get the GPIOs working with the mainline kernel (ARMBIAN Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 4.5.2-sunxi). According to the board layout photo, I am using PG0, PG1, PG2 and PG3. With the legacy kernel, they export as GPIO1-PG0 a.s.o. accordingly and work perfectly. So I calculate the GPIO pin number: G is 7th letter, 7 - 1 is 6, 6 * 32 is 192. GPIO192 exports fine, I can set it to output, change the value to 1 but there's no voltage! 97. Hi, I started using pinebook armbian buster when it was beta, it worked. From that beta I upgraded yeysterday and I see no display (LCD) after kernel starts (I only see the boot). The same using a new official image [1] I know there is another places to track this issue [2], but the thing is that in the official image page [1] it says it is fully working and that is not true. There are two options: - changing the status to something beta (like before) so you are less responsible of problems - putting an image that works [1] https://www.armbian.com/pinebook-a64/ [2] https://armbian.atlassian.net/browse/AR-443

  98. Hello First of all, thank you for the great effort of the Armbian project. In second place: I have a NanoPi Duo device, which has been working fine with an old version of Armbian. But when trying to use the latest version, it happens that the serial port console continuously gives the following message and does not allow login ... ... [ OK ] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes. [ OK ] Started Network Manager Script Dispatcher Service. nanopiduo login: root (automatic login) Authentication failure nanopiduo login: root (automatic login) Authentication failure n…

  99. Is there currently a known problem with some of the Repos used by H3 Armbian Mainline (OrangePi Plus 2). For the last few days, when I run apt update, I get timeout messages on some repos. The repos that are consistently timing out are: http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial InRelease http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial-updates InRelease http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial-updates/main armhf Packages Additionally, this Repo sometimes times out, and sometimes succeeds, but takes a long time: https://deb.nodesource.com/node_6.x xenial InRelease Please let me know if you require more info. Many thanks, Roy Gilby

  100. Started by bananashake,

armbianmonitor output: http://ix.io/4qwA I assume it's crashing as I have no display connected to it. Every few days I just notice I can no longer reach the network folder, but it works after a power off/power on. Not much running on it, samba for file share and deluge for occasional downloads. I also recently run an update, upgrade and dist-upgrade, but it didn't help. I don't really know what should I look for in the log. OS: Armbian buster (21.02.1) armv7l Host: LeMaker Banana Pi Kernel: 5.15.93-sunxiC CPU: Allwinner sun7i (A20) Family (2) @ 960MHz
