I used RKBatchTool to restore it, and got a blue square, but after I click "restore" button, it failed at "Prepare idb fail" I also tried RK Android Tool, my stick is loaded as "Found one MASKROM Device". 4. Hi all, We have an issue about xhci controller, the armbian on the S905W will throw there are not enough resource controller when using hub usb 3.0 (dmess). On ubuntu, we can disable xhci by command follow on this topic https://www.systutorials.com/how-to-force-a-usb-3-0-port-to-work-in-usb-2-0-mode-in-linux/ lspci -nn | grep USB \ | cut -d '[' -f3 | cut -d ']' -f1 \ | xargs -I@ setpci -H1 -d @ d0.l=0 This command will executed and xhci controller will switched to ehci controller, this function useful for us since ehci controller can be handled a lot of resource. I'm having problems installing Armbian on the tx3 mini. I can't boot. I already tested the two dtb for s905w that you have in the folder and none worked. Can someone help me? I'm from Brazil.

  7. Hello. I have successfully booted Armbian_20.02.0-rc1.035_Aw-h6-tv_buster_current_5.5.0-rc6_desktop_20200204 on to R TV Box X10 Plus and have docker and Home assistant running at about 25% load. I would like to move it from SD card to emmc but when I issue the nand-sata-install command in a terminal window, it reports command not found and lists special scripts for many setups, but not the H6. I also cannot access the usb3 port, which I think is a device tree issue, I believe the proper dtb needs to be loaded but I don't know where to find it or how to install it.

  8. Hi. PhoenixSuit: V1.10 Device: Tanix TX6s AllWinner H616 I noticed that in PhoenixSuit on the Apk tab the options: Backup, Restore, Install, Reboot, Recovery. I tried to use to backup the current installation. But PhoenixSuit only recognizes the device and connects with it to install the firmware. If the file for Firmware is not selected, PhoenixSuit will not connect with the device. Any tips? Or another solution to back up the installation? On the TX3 Mini I use TWRP to Backup and Restore, but is S905 Amlogic! Tks.

  13. Hey I'm pretty new to this community. I have Mini M8S II which is running libreelec just fine with the stock dtb. I want to turn it into a small server with armbian but it always fails to boot. The box apparently has S905X which should "translate" into this dtb gxl_p212_2g_kvim.dtb. Libreelec refuses to boot with it but when I used older built of Coreelec it booted with gxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb which should be S905 not S905X. Armbian and libreelec refuses to boot with that dtb. I've tried most of the included dtb even putting them to main directory and renaming them as dtb.img (Yes I've read that I'm supposed to change the location in config file) At this point I think …

There are several variant of Tanix TX6 models listed here https://linux-sunxi.org/Tanix_TX6 and they mostly differ in RAM and eMMC sizes. There is reference to single dtb file there sun50i-h6-tanix-tx6.dtb for all these models. Will this dtb file work with all the models with the Single Armbian Image for RK+AML+AW (aarch64 ARMv8)? If not what changes would be needed in dtb files for these models? Thanks Rajesh

Hi, First I want to say thanks for this amazing project. Also English is not my native language, so please excuse me for misspell Last week I received my shiny new Beelink GT1 with Amlogic S912 CPU. And now I have a itching in my hands to break it. So I forked @150balbes repo and start messing with it. Dowloaded original firmware from here: https://mega.nz/#F!bIVGFaKY!Om3XTxlHmjPB4x2_jukFYw Extracted original device tree and kernel config (attached below) and after little tuning I was able to build a Ubuntu 16.04 CLI image (only build, not tested) I use a LibreELEC linux-amlogic repo. I deactivate X, stopping more all less all unnecessary processes, with the goal in mind to have as few running processes as possible. The goal was to run an apache server on it. However without apache running, and in idle state (running top confirm that no processes are eating CPU) the temperature was in range 0f 56- 58 Celsius. So I have this: https://www.amazon.com/Android-Sidiwen-Processor-Bluetooth-Ethernet/dp/B07KS8J85L/ I somehow found this image Armbian_20.05.0_Rk3328-tv_buster_current_5.6.0-rc4_desktop_20200312.img that I cannot remember where I opbtained it. Anyway, I wrote it to a 32 gig SD card using win32diskimager and successfully booted into armbian on the box. Oddly it would not boot from a USB stick from any of the ports. My question is, is there a dtb for this box that has the wi-fi and Bluetooth working? A plus would be the ir and power led as well. I know this is unlikely but couldn't hurt to ask. No HDMI output (Amlogic S905X3 - X96 Max Plus2). Armbian *is* running, can SSH in when up. Have also soldered on a TTL UART (CH340G - all good/can putty in to watch boot logs). If flash back to Android stock, still no HMDI out (again can adb in IP address:5555 just fine). So, to clarify, when I say no HDMI out - I mean "No Signal". This includes the vendor Uboot splash when flashed with Android firmware (on the same/original LCD that was previously working just fine). Dmesg registers connect/disconnect HDMI hot plug, but no display. Is there an efuse for HDMI out? Almost certain board is just coincidentally dead at this s…

However when i switch it to HSP/HFP in order to use the microphone, i get a lot of static, random crackling and very low volume on both the microphone and the speaker. Hi I'm in the market for a cheap Linux Bo and from what I see it seems these Android TV boxes are the cheapest. I basically want a system I can just muck around with about, but also one that has working WiFi, can play 1080p video in H264 and H265 and can surf the web/play YouTube without much issue. I'm not interested in the boxes Android capabilities, I'm interested in if it can run a desktop Linux with things above. Essentially Wifi, Hardware decoding of H264/5 video and acceptable video playback on the Internet. Considering a raspberry pi with all the needed things costs more than one of these boxes it is a very nice alternative, but in a sea of…

hi, I am considering getting a couple of inexpensive tv boxes to play with, my goals in order of interest would be: - Test Linux running some monitoring bash scripts. - Test Linux running some lan services as PiHole, nginx service fallback static pages for a couple of domains. - Test Linux acting as a thin client to RDP servers (think LTSP). - Test Android acting as a thin client to RDP servers (think LTSP). I don´t intend to run all of these at once, but rather test how well those work (or not). I am leaning towards TV Boxes instead of SBCs for the "all in one piece" factor, with SMBs getting the board+case+PSU+wifi-dongle rapidly see…

  50. hi guys, A while ago I got this x96 Max tv box in the hope to tinker with it at some point, but it turns out I am not able to even boot from the sdcard or USB.... Maybe I am overlooking something basic so I figured I ´d ask people more knowledgable tha me in this matters. The procedure I´ve tried so far is powering the device while pressing the button hidden in the AV plug. The screen just stays black until I power it off. I´ve tested witha few cards and drives, a bunch of OSes (armban, corelec, emuelec) and a bunch of image writing applications. I have not tried some app released by amlogic themselves that I grasped it exists…

WIll not boot recovery either (pin in audio slot pressing the buttin). Red LED is on. fter 5s or so TV stops saying no signal and goes to an almost dark screen that becomes black. Also tried with SD card, with and without recovery button. Guess a hardware issue ? Will I get anything usable from soldering a serial port connection ? eMMC is marked SDINAFF4-128G, made in Taiwan, so possible a Sandisk quality component. But they etched the brand name away. 54. Hi, I successfuly use Armbian on a beelink TV box but I can't install it on eMMC/NAND. So running out of the SDcard will eventually end up crashing . So I'm Looking for a cheap / realiable / no hassle TV Box to replace it. So what box would you recommend, around 25$ budget, which works fine "out of the box" to install armbian When answering please tell which dtb you are using with your box. Thanks.

Hi Folks, I have an MXQ-PRO-S905 box, branded as an "Antsir" 4k box, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM using an RTL8189 chipset. I have built the SD card several times using different variations of the Armbian OS (details below). The box is currently running the "Coolio" build, but I want to be able to run armbian from the SD card, however, there is no update options available inside the OS to trigger it to boot, so I manually boot into recovery, the SD card can be seen, but because I dont have a valid file for the recovery bootloader, I cannot trigger it to boot into the environment. Is there anything special I need to be doing?

  61. Hey guys. I need around 10-20 SBC or TV Boxes that can run Armbian. I only need Ethernet support, Wi-Fi and BT isn't required, but I'd like something stable that doesn't overheat. I'll be running Docker on them, is that an issue on Armbian? This can be a deal breaker for me. 2GB/16GB boxes would be the best option if I can flash armbian to the EMMC in board, requiring no SD card to boot, thus minimizing costs. I've seen that the Tanix TX3 Mini is stable and the 2GB/16GB unit is at around 25€, but this is a bit much. I managed to buy some RK3318 2GB/16GB boxes in the past for 18€, but they're gone. 67. I am starting a new thread as this discussion doesn't belong in the "Single Armbian image for RK + AML + AW" thread. The end user need is that users (I think this is especially true of TV box users) think of Armbian for TV boxes like a standard linux distribution. What this means is that they expect to receive security updates and critical bug fixes. They are after all trying to run home servers and desktops on this platform. And for the most part they get these fixes from the upstream distributions (ubuntu or debian). However they don't get fixes for the linux kernel. The question "how do I get kernel updates?" gets asked quite frequently in the TV box …
