I wanted to install Balbes' Armbian image on Mecool KM8P but failed miserably: At first it took me weeks to get my KM8Ps into recovery mode, only to realize that the better/best installation procedure is via the stock Android update routine. Unfortunately I now have 3 KM8P showing the same behaviour: They always boot into the recovery mode, showing the defunct Android with the "No command" message. I can't get out of the recovery mode back into Android to do a "normal" installation via the update routine. And I can't figure out how to install @balbes150 images from the recovery mode. I installed armbian 20.04 on my beelink GT1 TV box on a fast SD card https://androidtvbox.eu/beelink-gt1-review-smart-tv-box-with-android-6-0-powered-by-amlogic-s912/ works great, but I noticed that even when almost idle, running command line utils has a delay of 2-3 seconds at least commands like docker, npm, node and more. internal commands such as df work instantly. some are rapid the 2nd time and some delay on every launch npm is probably the worst and can take up to 5 seconds is there a way for me to trace what is it doing or waiting for during that time?

Hi! I have an X96 box, with 2G Ram and 16G Rom, it has an S905X inside. I was using it with armbian, but after installed armbian-firmware-full and rebooted the box was dead. I tried to put it in burn mode with no luck: aml burn tool for os x does not exists and from a virtualbox machine with linux can't see the device, av reset button is not working, bridging pins didn't work and from my raspberry I can see the device connected but cant put it on burn mode) Anybody can help me with this?

hi guys, A while ago I got this x96 Max tv box in the hope to tinker with it at some point, but it turns out I am not able to even boot from the sdcard or USB.... Maybe I am overlooking something basic so I figured I ´d ask people more knowledgable tha me in this matters. The procedure I´ve tried so far is powering the device while pressing the button hidden in the AV plug. The screen just stays black until I power it off. I have a dead H96 Max, S905x3, 4GB/128GB. After an apt upgrade and reboot it never came to life. I use the Single Image, boot from eMMC. WIll not boot recovery either (pin in audio slot pressing the buttin). Red LED is on. fter 5s or so TV stops saying no signal and goes to an almost dark screen that becomes black. Hi Folks, I have an MXQ-PRO-S905 box, branded as an "Antsir" 4k box, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM using an RTL8189 chipset. I have built the SD card several times using different variations of the Armbian OS (details below). The box is currently running the "Coolio" build, but I want to be able to run armbian from the SD card, however, there is no update options available inside the OS to trigger it to boot, so I manually boot into recovery, the SD card can be seen, but because I dont have a valid file for the recovery bootloader, I cannot trigger it to boot into the environment. Is there anything special I need to be doing?

I'll be running Docker on them, is that an issue on Armbian? I am starting a new thread as this discussion doesn't belong in the "Single Armbian image for RK + AML + AW" thread. The end user need is that users (I think this is especially true of TV box users) think of Armbian for TV boxes like a standard linux distribution. What this means is that they expect to receive security updates and critical bug fixes. They are after all trying to run home servers and desktops on this platform. And for the most part they get these fixes from the upstream distributions (ubuntu or debian). However they don't get fixes for the linux kernel. Hello. I have successfully booted Armbian_20.02.0-rc1.035_Aw-h6-tv_buster_current_5.5.0-rc6_desktop_20200204 on to R TV Box X10 Plus and have docker and Home assistant running at about 25% load. I would like to move it from SD card to emmc but when I issue the nand-sata-install command in a terminal window, it reports command not found and lists special scripts for many setups, but not the H6. I also cannot access the usb3 port, which I think is a device tree issue, I believe the proper dtb needs to be loaded but I don't know where to find it or how to install it.

And since this is open source that means I needed to read a lot of posts and get into the code to understand how things are working. Device: Android TV box t95z Plus 3GB/32GB (SoC S912) device. Purpose: Running Home Automation docker images pretty much same setup than @Petee is running, but also as a Zigbee2MQTT coordinator using a CC2531 dongle. have tried over the few weeks several combinations of releases and DTB files with no luck. If it is any help got corelec (CoreELEC-Amlogic.arm-9.2.1-Generic) running smoothly with gxm_q200_3g.dtb but since there is no docker support it is a no go for me. I'm at my wit's end here, I've tried all I can think of. I have this Mecool M8S Pro, I've been trying to root it, flash twrp, and install armbian. There is no way to access bootloader, or maybe it's the same as recovery. When I put armbian on an sdcard and made an armbian_first_run.txt file, I first tried using the update app. I picked the aml_autoscript.zip, and confirmed the update, then a message pops up and says "shutting down", then nothing I've left this for a long time and the box never comes back on. I think if I'd like to make tvbox the best choice in terms of video quality would be using android, right? Thing is I hate android, I love linux. Hi, I plan on running octoprint on my Amlogic S912 china android box. Now I need to connect a filament runout sensor via gpio, in a octoprint plugin one specifies the used pins. Unfortunately my device has no dedicated gpio header built in, so I want to ask: Is there a way (that maybe works easily with armbian) to have gpio somehow? Like some usb stick with gpio on it that can forward gpio in and output? I tried to install Armbian_19.11.3_Aml-g12_buster_legacy_5.3.0_20191126.img.xz to my T95Z Plus box (S912 with 3GB RAM) but got only wifi running. Any ethernet connection was not possible. I used meson-gxm-khadas-vim2.dtb in uEnv.ini and was able to boot the box into debian buster. Been at this for a few days now and am slowly losing my mind. Got a MQX Amlogic 905 P201. (CS_905MXQ_V1.0) and have been running Armbian for a while now off SD card using meson-gxbb-p201.dtb without any issues.
