I have tested video playback on: X96max plus (S905x3) TX5 pro (S905x) M96X (S912) -1080p youtube playback from chromium h264ify addon. -Video playback 1080p from MPV in full screen, window mode often lag. On bionic video plays fine from chromium and youtube , but in focal video lags. Testet on kernel 5.7 rc 2 before and after apt upgrade to kernel 5.7.16 Tested on latest focal and earlier versions on focal. Hey I've managed to boot armbian on my box with S905X using meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb. The thing is that the screen resolution isn't properly setup. For some reason it detects Composite-1 when there's none and HDMI default is 1024x768. This isn't that big of an issue as I was able to use xrandr to fix it for my monitor. However when plugged to something bigger like TV the screen is very weird. Colors start to change color and screen has some weird artifacts. Hi, This SOC is very interesting as it has a native SATA interface and Gigabit Ethernet. The boxes equipped with it (Zidoo X9S, X10, Xnano X5, Beelink SEA 1,...) can be used as a NAS because they have OpenWRT inside/with Android but it is rather limited. After reading through the forum I found the file I want to download - ARMBIAN 5.67 user-built Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS 4.4.143-rk3328-tv 20181203 +compton. How do I find this file when I don't know which of the almost 100 boards it's under without looking at the hardware specs of each. Is there a way to cross-reference that I'm not seeing?

I installed Focal Armbian ( Desktop version ) at my tvbox and everything is so far so good . Only a small issue hassles me : after the desktop launches , I had to use the mouse to click the desktop so that it can receive focus . Only after that , can I use the arrow keys to move the focus between icons. If I press the arrow keys just after desktop launches , nothing happens ---- obviously , sth. steals the focus . Is it a normal behavior as expected ? May I config sth. to avoid using mouse to retrieve the focus to desktop ? Thankyou for your attention :)

There are two install emmc files in armbian amlogic verison by balbes150. install-aml.sh and install-aml-s905-emmc.sh. What's the difference between these? If install armbian to a S912 TVbox emmc, which one should be choosed?

Is there any advantage for doing that? I mean I have a Samsung EVO 128Gb lying around, which should be faster, roomier than the onboard eMMC, shouldn't I use it instead of the 16Gb onboard eMMC?

I am playing with X96 Max+ and it always stops at u-boot if its uart port is not connected . It is said that there is interference from uart port thus u-boot thinks it has received commands. Is that true ?

Ok fairly new to ARMBIAN.... Possibly 3 hrs in. I have it running on an MXQ media box, all fine but no wi-fi... Put in an old D-Link DWL-G122 usb stick and whilst it's recognised by the usb sub system no driver gets loaded. I have installed armbian-firmware-full and there seems to be relevant firmware for the RALINK devices. but iwconfig does nothing and the device does not show up in "nmtui" I have to admit it's probably 13-14 years since I had to manually do anything with a linux driver so I am rusty! Hi guys, first post! I took the plunge and installed armbian on my android box. It boots and runs fine off SD but when I try to install to eMMC it just boots and hangs on the original Google TV splash screen. I noticed while reading tutorials that when I run and-sata-install it's supposed to ask me where to boot from, but all it does is copies all my files to /dev/data. How can I tell it to boot from eMMC? I notice near the end it says four times: /dev/boot: no Android Magic Value /dev/boot: not a valid Android Boot Image. Any help appreciated thank you!

My English isn't very smooth. First of all I'm sorry. I installed the arbian on a tv box. Model number X88 mini, Rockchip 3328, 2GB RAM, 16GB Flash. I installed version 5.75 Ubuntu rock64. The problem is that the internet does not connect. The WiFi and ethernet card certainly do not recognize. I've also installed and run the same version Debian and slackware onto this device. I have been trying to boot various images for a while. Recently I have tried the latest Armbian and Libreelec Images but without success. I have tried both usb and sd card. Today I managed to get my serial UART connected to the box to see where things are stopping. I have attached a log from the serial console. I was considering using Openmedia Vault + 4 Bays Raid 5 via USB 3.0. Is there anything in principle that would speak against this? Another question i have: would i need to use an external enclosure with a built in raid controller or can i use any external enclosure and setup the raid via software control (in armbian)?? hi guys, A while ago I got this x96 Max tv box in the hope to tinker with it at some point, but it turns out I am not able to even boot from the sdcard or USB.... Maybe I am overlooking something basic so I figured I ´d ask people more knowledgable tha me in this matters. The procedure I´ve tried so far is powering the device while pressing the button hidden in the AV plug. The screen just stays black until I power it off. I´ve tested witha few cards and drives, a bunch of OSes (armban, corelec, emuelec) and a bunch of image writing applications. I have not tried some app released by amlogic themselves that I grasped it exists…

I can't for the life of me get them to install Kodi 16.2 or any Kodi updates for that matter, during each install I get (the package conflicts with an existing package by the same name) The firmware seems to only allow the Kodi 16.1 rc3 I realize that I should uninstall the previous Kodi in order to install the new Kodi 17, but Kodi seems to be part of the firmware.
