  1. Hi, Today I updated to Armbian v25.2 and did the good old reboot after the update. I never had issue with runing the SBC headless, but since the update I get a blinking blue status LED for a couple of minutes until the system boots. When I tried to plug in a monitor to get an idea what is going on, the SBC boots normally. 4. Hello. I have a new Rockpi 4C. I am caming out crazy because I cannot understand some hardware issues. If I use the 5.10 kernel all hardware is working less the GPU. The images are bad and the lines swing everywhere. But the CPU is pretty cool and sometimes the heat-sink became hot, but not forever. The resolution is only the 1024 X 768!! The bluetooth, with the kernel 5.10, is perfectly working. With the magic Armbian-Config utility I installed the legacy kernel 4.4. I switched on that kernel and the GPU is perfect now and I am reading what I am writing. BUT: The bluetooth service is gone. Definitively! The USB ports are gone too!! There is only one usb port wo…

I'm a complete newbie so please explain as if I'm a kindergarden dropout :)

  6. I picked up an OrangePi PC Plus. I installed armbian Jammy which does not have the mt7921u driver. I would like to install the driver and was wondering the proper steps. I have done apt install linux-headers-current-sunxi cd /usr/src/linux-headers-5.15.93-sunxi make scripts Now is it a matter of grabbing the mn7921u source and compiling it? Thanks for any direction.

  7. Hi , I am unable to boot my RK3568 board and cannot get it into MaskROM mode for recovery. The boot process fails with a "Synchronous Abort" in U-Boot SPL during DDR initialization. The device gets stuck in a boot loop. It starts DDR training (`ddrconfig:0`) but fails with a Data Abort exception. Standard methods to enter MaskROM /Loader have not worked. I have attached the full serial log (Boot_log.txt). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Boot_log.txt

Hi team! This may be the stupidest question ever… I am a long time Debian user. I have a project in mind where I plan to setup a dual node HA Haproxy balancer. This is pretty straightforward in Debian but I am wondering, is HAproxy even available for armbian?. I do not plan to have a big throughput for these HAproxy nodes, is for a homelab and more for fun than for production purposes… The idea is to use the cheapest dual gigabit board available, that’s why I will probably go for nanopi (which supports armbian). 27. The usual way to get the a headless linux box up and running is to flash a disk image to a µSD card and then insert that card into the linux box, boot, answer some questions and it's done. Can I not do the same thing with an image file that I put on the µSD card (in addition to the µSD card having a complete linux OS that the box can boot from) and copy that to the emmc? Then pull the card and boot from the emmc? Does the image file used for a µSD card differ from the image file that should be written to the emmc? e.g. I have an armbian image, say "Armbian_25.2.2_Rockpi-s_bookworm_current_6.12.15_minimal.img.xz", on my µSD card at /media/…

Are there logs stored somewhere, at least? I checked /var/log/, but got no further. Or how I am supposed to go through failing installations? Thank you,

The R1S-H3 has an onboard SDIO Wi-Fi card that requires the RTL8189ES drivers, which I have loaded in already. Unfortunately, I am unable to use the Wi-Fi card on the device. I did notice an error: "mmc2: error -22 while initializing SDIO card" which might be the cause. However, I am not too sure on how to go about resolving it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanc…

  55. Since some H2 and H3's run hotter than some people would like, and people are measuring voltages etc I thought I'd make the following warnings for your benefit in the hope that we collect quality data and solve all challenges quickly. Measuring voltage accurately Your DMM (digital multimeter) may lie to you. Measure the input voltage as well as the test voltages before posting voltage readings. Check with the resistance setting that the resistance of your probes touching each other is close to 0 ohms. I own many DMM's and one of them reports horribly inaccurate voltages when the 9v battery is near or less than 8v. If your DMM sucks, buy a better one (link at botto…

So, I don't need WiFi connection very fast and do need most of network services. Due usage of AP6210 module, WiFi and BT shares the same communication channel (UART). I continuously send data (1Mbps) via Bluetooth. WiFi is used by my app 1 time per minute. The problem is that Bluetooth drops communication for about second. Reducing BT speed does not help. I noticed that when I download file from OPI board, that drops occurs much often. It seems that WiFi has a higher priority than BT in communication. Strange thing is that when I don't use WiFi network, i…

I've seen it posted in multiple forums that it does, and the datasheet and user manual says it does, but I can not get it working. Has anyone seen this work in person? I had to hack up the sun4i-i2s.c driver around mclk / bclk generation to make it happy just to even try it, and confirmed that all register settings look good. But the DMA just doesn't seem to transfer data when in clock slave mode. It doesn't seem like any cpu using sun4i-i2s should work in clock slave mode.
