In the nanopcT3+ board I need to enable the I2S1 (14 pin header) in Desktop version. I need to have the I2S1 peripheal as SLAVE and a MCLK of 48kHz and 192kHz (better if other clock speed are supported). The "aplay -l" and "arecord -l" commands must show the I2S1 as a sound card with input ad output device. I've tried to do the job but I'm a newbbie on linux and embedded linux. Following the official FriendlyArm wiki, on a host PC I've downloaded the kernel source, modified the dtsi file to enable i2s, recompiled the kernel and U-boot and all steps seem work fine. Now I don't know how to do a final steps to have a SD bootable image with eflasher to load and test…

Anyone get ArduinoIDE working on armbian for the Udoo quad? When I try to upload a sketch, i see a java exception for bossac - no such file or directory (when i try to run bossac -h, same error) Edit - the error above was for Udoo's 1.5.8 version. I tried 1.5.4, and now I get errors trying to create GPIO0 and GPIO117 (direction & value).

  6. Hello, first of all thank you for the development of the Armbian software. I am currently using version Armbian_22.08.2_Uefi-x86_bullseye_current_5.15.69 on my Terramaster F5-221. Unfortunately I have two small problems. Firstly, there is no linux header for the kernel used for compiling. Secondly, unfortunately I can't add a network interface in openmediavault. That always gives me an error. It works on Debian with Openmediavault. unfortunately this surprises me. I thought the Ip adress my have changed somehow cause I also restarted my router but it under active clients in router webif either. 8. I have a Cubox that has been running Debian Wheezy for a while and I want to do a clean install of Jessie on it. I downloaded Armbian_5.00_Cubox-i_Debian_jessie_4.4.1 and wrote it to SD card, but it won't boot. The error is: Unknown command 'bootz' I rather suspect that my Cubox is not a Cubox-i - possibly an earlier version that does not support compressed kernels. Is there some way I can work around this? Maybe re-flash the bootloader, or uncompress the kernel on another system perhaps? Thanks Andrew

Using Armbian_4.4_Udoo_Debian_jessie_3.14.28 - Wicd doesn't detect any networks (/etc/network/interfaces has wlan0 commented out). If i setup /etc/network/interfaces and edit /etc/hostapd.conf and /etc/init.d/hostapd, I can get the udoo to authenticate to my wireless network, but I can't ping/resolve/browse anything but google.com Using CLI images - I can't get my network card to auth at all. Any idea what happened - a few months ago wifi was working perfectly. Also - is there anyway to modify the startup job to raise network interfaces to have a time limit? Occasionally boot will go indefinitely.

  10. I am running Armbian_4.5_Cubox-i_Ubuntu_trusty_3.14.54 on a CuBox i4 Pro. Hi, I have an issue on my hummingboard i2ex. I installed mpd and configured it with SPDIF. The kernel is 4.9.12-cubox. Unfortunately the sound looks strange. It sounds like a slow motion recording. The load is very load (<0.2) so I think it is not a performance problem. I saw there was an issue with the SPDIF previously but it is a little bit different. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Is it possible to test it your side? Thanks, Warter

  19. So I downloaded Armbian Stretch image here https://www.armbian.com/hummingboard-2/ and dd it onto an SD Card. As it didn't produce any output during boot after 'uncompressing kernel' I had to add 'console=both' into the armbianEnv.txt. After that I could see that I land into (initramfs). It looked like it couldn't see the rootfs for some reason. So additionally I've changed rootdev to 'rootdev=/dev/mmcblk0p1' in the armbianEnv.txt. 21. I'm currently working on getting a custom kernel (5.4 kernel which was modified for a specific need regarding containers) running on a Jetson Nano. I've tried running the kernel image on NVIDIA's Jetpack but that didn't work. I've tried building the image directly on the Nano running Armbian and it hasn't really worked so far. It seems to either brick the Nano or not update the kernel version after an install (depending on if I replace /boot/Image). Would you all have any suggestions of what I can try or if it’s even possible? Thanks in advance!

I've got a Cubox-i 4 running Armbian stretch 4.16.8 and I noticed that the frequency never seemed to drop below 996MHz (even when on zero load) using sudo cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/policy0/cpuinfo_cur_freq whereas armbianmonitor -m showed the same, occasionally showing 792MHz. Looking at Orange Pi Zero I managed to see what the issue might be. Changing /etc/default/cpufrequtils to "powersave" dropped the frequency to 396MHz but stayed there even when under stress (stress -c 4 -t 60). I like these boards because of good desing and good HW, but this Angstrom linux isn't good... Thank you for every advice

  48. Hi guys. I can't get the headphone jack to work on the NanoPC T3+ on Armbian 5.44 Bionic. HDMI sound works. There's a second Built-in Audio, but nothing seems to work. Also the on-board microphone doesn't work. I've tested it on the friendlyArm Lubuntu and there it both works. Additional. Can somebody point me into the right direction where to add a higher cpufreq in available frequencies? At 1400Mhz it only reaches 55°C maxed(with fan). Single core performance is bad. So some overclock would be helpful. Otherwise Armbian works great. Thank you. NicoD

  49. Hi all, In the review of the Fire3 at least one person mentions powering this board via something other than the MicroUSB. This would allow me to use the serial console that's supposedly exposed over that port instead of wiring up yet another USB to serial converter. What I can't work out is a) which pin/s are used to power it, and b) what kind of power supply is used. I'd rather not fry the board (it'll do that itself under load) so can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

MicroSOM rev 1.5 Wifi: 802.1 b/g/n - 2.4 / 5 Ghz, single or dual MIMO with Bluetooth V4.0 (TI Wilink 8 WL18xx) http://wiki.solid-run.com/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=imx6:microsom:docs:sr-usom-mx6-pcn-20160915.pdf This is from the solidrun website: Make sure that your kernel .config has the following enabled either as modules or statically part of the kernel, in order to build the TI WiLink8 WiFi drivers -CONFIG_WL18XX=yCONFIG_WLCORE=yCONFIG_WLCORE_SPI=yCONFIG_WLCORE_SDIO=yCONFIG_WILINK_PLATFORM_DATA=yCONFIG_WL_TI=y# CONFIG_WL1251 is not set# CONFIG_WL12XX is not setThe firmware i…

  90. See the following steps to get the TI wl18xx drivers to work on the Cubox with the I4P Rev 1.5 SOM. Step 1) Boot with the Armbian base image (Armbian_5.20_Cubox-i_Ubuntu_xenial_4.7.3). The 3.14.79 base image also works however will require a different dpkg install command to overwrite the 3.14.79 kernel. Step 2) Build a new kernel with Armbian build tools, note this only works with the 'DEV' kernel branch because SolidRun provides all the necessary DTS files. Edit the compile.sh script and change KERNEL_CONFIGURE="yes" to customize the kernel configuration. The relevant modules you will need to select are: CONFIG_WL_TI=y CO…

Hi, I tried everything: I downloaded wheezy isos, Jessie.... with GUI, no GUI and then I installed by myself..... solid-run isos and armbian isos.... just clean system... burn the iso in a sdcard and run the system.... if it has already GUI I install blueman and test bluetooth and wifi.... perfect. If doesn't have gui then I install one (I tried xfce and mate), then blueman and test bluetooth and wifi.... perfect. then 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade' and bluetooth stops working Any reason for that and any tip?

  92. Started by RiccardoCantoni,

Hi, I'm trying to generate an Armbian image for a custom board. I generated configuration files for card and family, with the necessary information for u-boot and kernel. I need to have separate boot partition in FAT and I added BOOTFS_TYPE="fat". Using the compile.sh in the Armbian "build" repo I get an image, but flashing it on the sdcard does not start uboot. In the boot partition I find not only the kernel and dtb, but also the u-boot scripts. How do you generate an image that contains everything correctly? Thanks in advance Riccardo

  93. Hello. I have been running Armbian_5.41_Cubox-i_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.15.7_desktop.img with no issues on my Hummingboard Edge which consists of rev 1.4 Hummingboard2 carrier and rev 1.5 SOM. I decided to try the legacy image (Armbian_5.41_Cubox-i_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.14.79_desktop.img) to gain support for the hardware video decoder. However, I have been unable to get the legacy version to boot properly. Initially, the board is detected as having a rev 1.5 SOM and there is a message about not being able to find the right dtb file (imx6q-hummingboard2-som-v15.dtb). Looking under /boot/dtb there are no dtb files for the rev 1.5 SOM in the legacy image. So I copied the defa…

  94. I set up NanoPC-T3 as a router, the upsteam Ethernet port is connected to a router. However, the bandwidth drops dramatically whatever I’m using IPTables or network bridge to forward the data. This doesn’t happen on the other SBCs I have. How can I solve it?

  95. Hello, for the past few days I've been trying to install k3s on a Jetson Nano machine with the legacy Kernel 4.9, which I managed to recompile with EBPF support, but it seems there are some Kernel EBPF errors. So, I tried to install Armbian, which also doesn't have EBPF support compiled into the Kernel. I've tried to boot from many images from the Jetson Nano archive on the Armbian site, but none of them work. Is there any documentation on how I could compile the kernel on Armbian - Jetson Nano machine? Why can't I boot from any of the Armbian - Jetson Nano images from the archives? I have updated the legacy OS from Nvidia with the latest drivers boot loaders …

Hello. I've tried to find the TC358743 toshiba chip drivers in the kernel, but I can't. As far as I know they are included from 4.1 version, but in the menuconfig option I didn't found them. Is driver avaliable on this kernel or I should use another kernel?
