  1. Hi, I'm incurring in a issue with updates of the board to Armbian 26.8. The new kernel or updates break the board connectivity gets lost, since the board boots up, the LAN port blinks but it doesn't set any IP Address. The board works in headless mode with the Debian 13 CLI UFS image, so I can't debug it using a monitor. Has anyone the same issue? How to reproduce 1.Flash the recommended Debian 13 Trixie CLI Image from Armbian Website 2.Start the board normally, in headless mode 3.login with ssh 4.set a new user account 5.Run apt update && apt dist-upgrade -y and then reboot 6.Board…

This post from February 2025 claims that RP5 and RPMini are supported: https://www.armbian.com/newsflash/armbian-v25-2/ however, I can't find them on the downloads page. I also don't currently own an RPMini, I am tempted to buy one but I wanted to make sure it was supported first. What's the state of support right now?

  4. I have a v1.2 Rockpi S with 512MB of RAM, while using the latest Armbian Focal and Buster images (20.08.1 with kernel 4.4.y), I have been experiencing WIFI issues. The device connects to the Access Point and maintains the connection but every minute or two the SSH connection hangs or freezes for several seconds and then comes back and prints everything that when on during the period it was not responsive. When I used the images with the 5.8.y kernel, I did not experience the same issue. In all cases wired ethernet (eth0) is not effected by the issue. Continuously pinging a local system shows the below result. Other WIFI devices on the same network do not experience …

  9. I'm currently working on getting a custom kernel (5.4 kernel which was modified for a specific need regarding containers) running on a Jetson Nano. I've tried running the kernel image on NVIDIA's Jetpack but that didn't work. I've tried building the image directly on the Nano running Armbian and it hasn't really worked so far. It seems to either brick the Nano or not update the kernel version after an install (depending on if I replace /boot/Image). Would you all have any suggestions of what I can try or if it’s even possible? Thanks in advance!

  18. Hi Igor, my Cubox-i4Pro worked perfectly fine with your Armbian Debian Jessie, until I upgraded from 4.7 to 4.81. After the upgrade was performed today, the system time is always wrong after boot, it is always set to Jan 1 01:00:00 1970. Setting the system time correctly does not help, after reboot it is wrong again. I didn't observe this behavior before upgrade, the system time just used to work without any attention needed. Nothing else was changed in the system, only the upgrade of Armbian was done to ver 4.81. So I'm wondering what went wrong with the upgrade. Hardware time is always correct, syncing system time to hardware time does not survive boot. I tried …

I found out about Armbian only recently and decided to give it a try for my T113-S3 based board I bought on Aliexpress. It looks like it's some kind of a MangoPi MQ clone, at least judging by schematics. I managed to create a new configuration for my board, together with required U-Boot patches. I built two images, for "current" and "edge" kernel. For some time I was under impression that Linux doesn't boot at all (serial console output was stuck at "Starting kernel ..."), until I added earlycon=on to armbianEnv.txt. Hi, I've just created a SD-card with Armbian Bionic (mainline kernel 4.19.y) for a Hummingboard Gate. I noticed during boot that it says it uses U-boot version 2013.10-rc4. This seems quite old compared to the 2018 version that was on the Debian Stretch image from SolidRun. I've tried to search the internet to see what the impact of something like this is and wasn't able to find something that made sense to me (could be entirely my fault). I therefore have the question: Is the U-boot version intentional? (maybe it has some features that newer versions have dropped.)

  31. Hey All - So I decided to upgrade my Udoo from 4.5 (Debian Jessia, kernel 3.14.28) to the latest 5.25 Xenial. I gave next (4.4.46) a try, and it seemed to work awesome, however it seems like no one wants 1wire (still - it only takes up 1 gpio!).
