  3. Hello all, earlier I booted up the board (Radxa Dragon Q8B) when it prompted to reboot & update and I allowed it. The update took uncharacteristically long. The OS is running off an SD card. There is no SSD or eMMC installed. Turns out it wiped the install clean. There was about 20 GB of free space prior to the update, now there's 46 GB. For some reason the user itself and the wifi login are still there, but everything in the home directory is gone. Installed applications and the driver for the wireless card are gone. Chrome add-ons are still there, but reset. The Downloads folder now has Armbian_26.8.1_Radxa-dragon-q8b_resolute_vendor_7.0…

A coworker of mine gave me a 5 inch hdmi touchscreen (waveshare knockoff). Getting hdmi to work properly on my orangepi pc was done in a few minutes. But the touchscreen drives me nuts. It came with a xpt2046 so I loaded the ads7846 driver I compiled from fbtft. No error messages, but also no response to a touch. It took me a week to finally realize that not the wiring, the driver or Armbian is was the problem, but the touch digitizer was. So I ordered a new one on my favorite Chinese site and installed it on the lcd. Finally I got a response to touching the screen, but I was not able to calibrate it with xinput_calibrator. After manually calibrating it …

  8. Well, I just bought a CloudShell direct from HarkKernel in South Korea. It was delivered and assembled. However, the LCD display - a major selling point - is non-functional. It appears to require a kernel module specific to the odroid xu4 specific kernel, that isn't available in the stock kernel. I am attempting to compile a 4.x.y kernel from hardkernel sources. So far, 4.14 doesn't appear to work. I want to run Open Media Vault 6, but currently, it only supports Armbian Bullseye, not any Ubuntu, etc. Armbian/OMV works for everything except he LCD. I am attempting to remedy the issue, but it will mean downgrading my kernel, which may ca…

  13. I do not have petitboot installed. I ran the Armbian buster with OMV5 for over a year. I decided to make a clean install and booted Armbian bullseye 11. I changed hostname and rebooted (curiously reboot doesn't reboot the hc4, why?). I used armbian-config to install OMV. Installation completed, brought me back to armbian-config and prompted to reboot. I hit reboot (then was forced to power cycle as hc4 won't come back to life after a soft-boot?). 27. Hi everybody, I'm using the Armbian Buster mainline based kernel 5.10.y image on https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero-plus-2-h3/ but I also tried the Focal one. I searched the forum deeply and I saw that someone in the past (forum post closed, otherwise I would have continued there) managed to have BT working by "faking" the /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin, that boot tries to load having error -2, copying the ap6212/fw_bcm43438a1.bin in its place. 51. Hello, I'm trying to install Armbian using `armbian-install` on NVMe, with bootloader on eMMC. I have installed 64GB Foresee eMMC module and 256GB WD SN530 2242 SSD. When I boot from SD card, both storages are detected. Using fdisk, I made them both `dos` (mbr) partitioned. Then I invoke `armbian-install`, it proceeds without any problems using eMMC+sata/nvme/usb option, and I have now 512 MB boot partition on eMMC, the rest of eMMC space as secondary, f2fs partition, and ext4 partition nvme0n1p1 containing the rest of the system. I've got a quick question about the Armbian Ubuntu Xenial install. I want to make sure I'm not in the wrong here before looking around for where to submit a bug report. It seems that at least on the C2s, & NanoPI Neos that I have that the /etc/resolv.conf file is not a link to /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf. That doesn't seem right to me, is there a reason it's a regular file and not a link? It messes things up when moving the computer to different networks as it doesn't update with new DNS settings. Possibly more glaringly it could be a security issue for those unaware or not paying attention while using things like openvpn.

There is a nextcloud instance running on it and I really (!) like the stability of my setup. So far, I've had one (1) crash in 1,5 years on a system that is running 24/7, maybe heat related in the hot summer. Reboot automatically once a week, nightly off-site backup, login via ssh-keys. So my question is...: Shall I update and if yes shall I do this from a fresh install or is there a built-in way? Thanks!

Hi, I installed Armbian 22.05.3 on a OrangePi Zero. There is a huge file in the root directory of the microsd card named qemu_fstype_20220704-070826_11972.core owned by root that is almost the size of the card. What is this file?

Hello, I'm new to Armbian. I've recently tried Olimex's image for a13 (https://github.com/OLIMEX/build). 100. Hello. I created a HotSpot with my Orange Pi Zero H2 with the latest version of Armbian Bionic. Everything seems to work, but I need the access point to reserve dynamic IPs, ie for a device with MAC address XX.XX.XX.XX.XX I have to reserve and then assign a specific IP address XXX.XXX. XXX.XXX. Any idea how to configure this HotSpot? Do I have to add some commands to the hostapd.conf file or what? Thanks in advance for any help.
