  1. Hi team. I am having a difficult time getting the standard Opi CSI camera to work on the newest mainline Armbian. I don't have the ability to use a legacy version because it is coupled with a preconfigured Octopi, thanks to @ldiaz. He says that Octopi will work with the camera once the system works with the camera, and I have not been able to get it to work. There are at least a dozen threads here about that camera, but most are dated. And the ones that aren't seem to talk more about performance, and they assume that your camera is working. I also saw one about overlays, which I have no idea how to deal with, or even what they are. Something tells me it just isn't thi…

  2. Hi, I'm using Orange Pi One board for Octoprint, but it's slow sometimes, because of max cpu frequency at 1 GHz. Under full load cpu temp is not higher than 30 °C, so I would like to set higher frequency, but all images looks like their max cpu frequency is just 1 GHz. So, is there any image with higher max cpu frequency? Thanks

Hello. I use Retrorange Pi on Orange pi pc+ and the kernel includes a uinput module for implementing console utility management from the gamepad. Unfortunately, in this 5.3.0-dev-rc8 core, the CPU temperature information does not work. I switched kernel to 5.4.20-current via armbian-config. In this kernel, the cpu temp readings work, but unfortunately, there is no uinput in the modules. Can I somehow build this module separately for 5.4.20-current without recompiling the entire kernel? Or is it possible for respected developers to re-enable the module in future kernel releases? With best regards, Sergey

If all my nodes are powered off and my cubietruck and a orange Pi are powered on, the measured current is about 2A. It looks like that the Orange Pi One does not Consume a significant amount of current, if it is idle. And he is idle for about 90% of time. In case of all of that my 5 OrangePi PC nodes, the Orange PI One and my cubietruck is powered on, the measured current is about 7A what gives a power consumption of ~ 35Watt. 30. Hey all, So recently I got myself an Orange Pi Prime so I could attempt to do some SPI flashing through spidev and flashrom. I have been going at it, set up the board, got an actually decent power supply, and set up everything. Eventually I got myself into the steps of setting up the pins for spi use. But after that if we try to switch to another wireless network it fails. It doesn't even reconnect to the first network ever. I have one of these boards: http://www.orangepi.org/Orange%20Pi%20R1%20Plus/ https://photos.app.goo.gl/1otMwG4totvNbGo88 It's kept cool with a heatsink, and fan (30-35c). Currently, I'm running the orange pi supplied version of openwrt. It's a snapshot version, so the kernel isn't compatible with some packages. My question then is, is there a script out there that can transform armbian into a router, with a firewall, web interface, and easy to use? I'd like to give it a try if such a thing exists. Hi all, I have a strange problem, when I make any file system changes, I can count to 10, pull out the power, and my changes are lost. My application sometimes requires changing of a settings file, and then quickish disconnection of power by the user (I know its not good, but it's a fact of the product) My current solution is to flush the write cache when I save the settings, I forget the command name, but that isn't ideal as other changes such as logging is lost. I'm using the armbian debian release at the moment. How can I change this write-cache timing to something like 2 seconds? Also, is this an SD-card technology issue or will the issue…

Image for OrangePI Zero is based on Armbian - i just disabled NetworkManager here to allow correct execution of scripts. The idea is - you get "normal internet" from Ethernet jack, then do some TOR magic and all traffic from wifi side is "torred". Also I2P is installed to have "more darkness" in your Internets. Everything intended to be completely headless with managing via web interface, written with node.js. Have fun. For russian-speaking persons - description is here: http://znoxx.me/tor-i2p-m…

I've heard people say that the Orange Pi is a "budget alternative" to the Raspberry Pi. On one hand, the Raspberry Pi has an excellent community, with a large user base that could really help you in your learning journey. On the other hand, the Orange Pi offers great value for money, and it's really tempting because the Raspberry Pi can be a bit pricey. What's your suggestion?
