Tried to build making a new git clone of the repository. So far tried to test by building orangepipcplus and orangepiplus2e, both stop in the screen 'Choose image type'. Options selected for both are 'Os image for installation to SD card', 'vendor provided / legacy ..) kernel, 'Debian 8 jessie', 'Image with desktop'environment'. Also, another try to build for nanopineo stopped in the same place. It seems that today's commits (29/12/2016) got something to do with this, I was able to generate images up to yesterday. @Igor, @zador.blood.stained can you please let me know if it works ok with you after today's commits?

  5. Recently we bought several BananaM2+ boards to integrate them into our future fiscal project We are developing software using Armbian Linux Debian-3.4.113-sun8i with standard core, which was chosen as a stable platform. For now we have a problem with integration. Due to our fiscal laws the board should be placed in the fiscal box with no access from outside. Now we are testing the board “on the table†using typical operations (even without loading it by typical cashiers operations) and the temperature rises very high. As a result the board starts switching off processor’s cores leaving only 1 working. We even still haven’t started testing the board placed into…

According to http://linux-sunxi.org/H2%2B#VariantsI should be able to differentiate between the H2+ and the H3 via the CPU SID. I have an Orange Pi Zero board with this output from /proc/cpuinfo Hardware : Allwinner sun8i Family Revision : 0000 Serial : 02004620161dea8a According to that site "the last byte of the first word" should be either 0x42 or 0x83 since the Orange Pi Zero has an H2+. Yet I am not finding 0x42 or 0x83 *anywhere* in "02004620161dea8a". Anyone know how to correctly identify the CPU variant?

In particular Polish (but if this post transforms into guide it will be for others too). How do I install(?) / enable (?) / rebuild (?) packages (especially GUI) to enable Polish language? With this, OPi / Armbian would be an "viable" alternative to some "STBs" (2x less price... freedom of installing packages). Fonts, keyboard (I saw only "Polish-Dvorak" which is not correct, should be "polish-programmers" - with ALT-Gr or Polish-"typewriter" which I guess is not available now), all these stuff. …

If all my nodes are powered off and my cubietruck and a orange Pi are powered on, the measured current is about 2A. Alright, there seems to be a timing issue when loading the module for the first time.... Feel free to use it to your repo if you feel like using it. Regards Sven

  60. I have a Odroid XU4 board that I am trying to build an image for and it will not boot from any images I have built from the compile.sh pulled from github. The board u-boot led doesn't turn on (solid blue) and nothing is displayed from the hdmi port. I select SD card image and have tried writing it with Win32 imager, Etcher, and the dd command. I did get an Ubuntu image downloaded from Odroid to work so the board is not faulty. Nothing has worked and I'm at a loss as to why when I personally compile an image it does not work. Thanks for the help

Is there any way to get this back? Does it require a re-compile of mpv, or is this behaviour a result of the All winner undocumented blob based hardware acceleration, dumping pixels straight onto the frame buffer, with little one can do about it. Has anybody compiled mpv from scratch and not had this issue? I notice that when playing video, the video paints over the top of everything - including the mouse pointer. In case you came here through lurid headlines please read this comment here first and help stop spreading further BS like "all Allwinner devices contain a hidden backdoor" -- the code has been found since Allwinner could be convinced to open their Github repos in the past so everyone is able to audit their Android kernel source! It shares most hardware details with A20 (true SATA, GbE -- EMAC and GMAC listed separately -- 2 USB2.0 host ports, one USB OTG, and fortunately also PMIC/battery support (link to AXP221s datasheet). Unfortunately Allwinner chose a manufacturing partner known for never providing exact specs/info to produce the first R40 device available. I've got a quick question about the Armbian Ubuntu Xenial install. I want to make sure I'm not in the wrong here before looking around for where to submit a bug report. It seems that at least on the C2s, & NanoPI Neos that I have that the /etc/resolv.conf file is not a link to /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf. That doesn't seem right to me, is there a reason it's a regular file and not a link? It messes things up when moving the computer to different networks as it doesn't update with new DNS settings. Possibly more glaringly it could be a security issue for those unaware or not paying attention while using things like openvpn.

Good day! I found some oddities with UART port driver. If I change the speed or the number of bits in the transmission, then everything works fine. But if I try to set the parity it does not sets. Not work modes: "EVEN, SPACE, MARK". Normal works only "NONE". Anyone faced similar problem? Tested under minicom and Java prorgam. The same result. p.s. I mean this modes sets only logical and does not sets physical. The device on other end always reports parity errors.
