  2. I am trying to get the RS485 Waveshare CAN hat to communicate with the LePotato. I have Klipper and Mainsail installed which for most would be a good stopping point. I am using CANBUS on all of my printer builds and that requires a CAN hat. I am trying to get this working with this board as i can actually buy these boards. I have a few CAN hats working with Raspberry Pis so i know the original process. Does anyone have a good way to get this all working together? Even a point in the right direction would be a help. I did find a post that claimed to be able to do this but actually trying it as posted resulted with no know vendor as an error.

I need Armbian Bionic with Linux opiz2b 4.19.57-sunxi #5.90 SMP or 4.19.127-sunxi. I realise this is from 2019 and may be too old now to do anything with it. Is it possible to still get this? I can only find minimal versions in the archives that are much newer than this. I have to state here that I am a complete novice at this and so really have no idea what I am doing.

So, with this method I was able to shutdown the system, but I cannot get out of this state via button press. I researched few posts, such as: 1, 2, and 3. It looks like either I have to modify …

Cross-posting from the Radxa community, because I've not had much luck getting replies over there, and hoping this forum is more active. I’m in the process of porting a VISCA/NDI camera controller from Raspberry Pi to run on Rock Pi (4B+ version 1.73), and I’m running into some serious GPIO hardware failures that I don’t quite know how to deal with. As a starting point, I took a pre-built collection of LEDs and disconnected them from a working Raspberry Pi setup and connected them to the Rock Pi. They all worked fine when driving them from the Raspberry Pi, so I’m reasonably certain that the problems are specific to the hardware or drivers on the Rock Pi …

  52. A month or two back, when I installed Armbian, I had to revert to an older kernel, 5.10.63-rockchip64, which has known vulnerabilities. I needed to be able to boot off of a USB 3 HDD, so I had to revert it and hold updates for the kernel/kernel headers. These are the commands I used to revert to the older kernel: sudo apt install linux-dtb-current-rockchip64=21.08.2 linux-image-current-rockchip64=21.08.2 sudo apt-mark hold linux-dtb-current-rockchip64 linux-image-current-rockchip64 Fast forward to today, where the issue with USB 3 has been apparently resolved in the latest kernel, I tried to unhold the kernel/kernel header updates, that seemed to work. …

I'm in need for a stable and secure desktop replacement that is energy saving and capable of dooing office work, browsing the web and even playback videos from youtube and prime video. 4K isn't necessary but I want at least 720p or 1080 fullscreen. Like a live distro from dvd so that there is no risk of getting infected by rootkit / bad firmware ever. Most current gen SoC offer built in flash memory. Older ones like Rock64, Pi3 and …

Doing apt search took just a few seconds before, but since some days, probably after an apt update && apt upgrade, it has become so slow that a search takes many minutes (20+ minutes) instead of seconds. I don't know why, and I don't know how to fix this. Do you know what to do? The slow part of the search is where it says "Full Text Search". It reaches 50% quickly, and then goes slow.
