How to unbrick the system? When something goes horribly wrong and you can not boot the system, this is the way to proceed. You need some Linux machine where you can insert SD card failed. With this procedure, you will reinstall the u-boot, kernel, and hardware settings. In most cases, this is enough to unbrick the board. You should check the file system before mounting: I do not understand

I have a Nanopi R2s but this is generic to most boards without an inbuilt battery backed RTC. I have added a battery backed 1307 module on the I2C bus and gone through the process of getting it recogised and used. As far as it goes that's fine. The problem is the RTC is only read late in the boot process so the first part of the syslog record has incorrect date and time. Is there any way to force systemd to process the 1307 at the very start? I tried hacking the non-battery backed RTC script but it didn't take. Another option is to get the pre-systemd processes to read from the 1307 and set the inbuilt RTC before systemd starts using it? …

This would take an article in itself! But as a brief reasoning, In a closed network (where you know every device), NFS is a fine choice. With a good network, throughput it disgustingly fast and at the same time less CPU intensive on the server. There are a lot of applications that support NFS "Out of the box" KODI being a common example. It's very simple to set up and you can toggle readonly on shares you don't need to be writeable. 66. Hi, Got a bit of a strange situation here. Trying to get H3 I2S working in both playback and capture. Tweaked script.bin and got the I2S0 up and running. Playback in 96K and 192K tested and is ok. Capture though is giving me a headache. When I try to use arecord it does work and generates a wav file but upon playing the file with aplay and although the samplerate (96K or 192K) and channel numbers (Stereo) show ok on screen, the audio result from this recording is always mono and looks that the included samples numer is divided by 2 thus the playback time is shortened accordingly, eg if I record 10 sec, a 5 sec playing time happens. Flashing odroidc4 images, each installation gets an identical IP address of '00:50:43:84:fb:2f' as specified in https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/7d758026b57380b17b6337e23b053db01c7e0b3d/config/bootenv/meson.txt This gets especially cumbersome with encrypted rootfs. Is there any way to override this without having to rebuild the image? Ideally the hw MAC address would be used, but being able to configure it through a simple change of the boot parameters after flashing would also work.
