I would like to drive a 240x180 led strip panel with SPI. I have zero experience with SPI and LEDs. I have chosen a WS2813 IC (four wires) for the LED. The seller has a spi controller, and it drives a max of 2048 LEDs. Does anyone have any experience driving as much as 2048 LEDs in SPI? Please, share your experience and/or projects with LED and SPI in this post. The question is how many LEDs i can drive with SPI and how to calculate it.

It is lighter and faster. thanks

A commandline tool is available to control the device. Its also possible to send data through the device to the connected hosts. It works like a normal USB to serial adapter. It is not possible to read the incoming data from all connected hosts simultaneous. I am use it to log the boot process of my cluster nodes [2]…

The server does need restarts and would seem far more often than you would expect and the use of electron means armv7l only which is a shame for the 0/1 owners. 53. Greetings everyone, A couple years ago, I did my research and followed the recommendation here and on linux-sunxi to purchase a Cubietruck and have had excellent results. I use my small low power GNU/Linux sever for all manner of things including self hosted "cloud" (contact, calendar, file synchronization), XMPP messaging server, media server, etc... It has been such a success in fact that we are putting more and more of our valuable personal files on there like pictures, etc. and that has me thinking more and more about reliability, backup, etc... I became very interested in ZFS but my understanding is that it requires 64-bit, but th…

Hi, I have some Siemens s7-1200 plc 's at a remote site and I need a client application to read (only) from the plc registers (Mostly DB200) and tiger an alarm that will send an email. For the moment I use an ewon router for remote communication and also read from the registers, tiger alarms and send emails. I know that Snap7 is working on ARM (e.g. cubietruck) with Siemens s7-1200 plc 's, so If someone is able write an application (at a logical cost) i would be interested to pay for it. I prefer the application to be compatible with amrbian on olinuxino. Set up of armbian with watchdog and smtp server would be also appreciated.

I saw my posts complaining about apt speed, that I could get 200kbps speed, now I am building +200gbps infrastructures for tens of thousands of servers.
