armbian jammy, uptodate a/o yesterday, on 6 pack of bananapi-m5's running a 3d printer farm. You made chrome the default browser, which has port 80 high jacked for all of googles BS. So you can't use chrome for local web page troubleshooting, or to run klipper. localhost:80 is not accessible, neither is the machines fqdn:80. Can this bit of commercial hi-jacking be defeated? FF, installed as a snap and auto-updated nightly works fine, but because its a snap, must be restarted every day. That is a classic PITA. So, how do I make FF's snap the default browser?

Hi I can access my nextcloud in the firefox browser, but the client always states "signed out". From time to time there is a request in the browser to confirm access of the client to the nextcloud server. Howeveer, this doesn't seem to work. I guess, I should add an online account (in Preferences). But there is no button to "Add account" shown. Do you have a hint to a missing package ? I am out of ideas how to solve it. First, thanks to you guys for the great work you are doing for armbian! I am quite impressed and very happy to be able to run my odroid devices (c2, m1) on the latest kernel with zfs and lxd! What I'm wondering: since there is no such thing as do-release-upgrade in armbian: What are your best practices for upgrades to avoid being forced to always install and configure everything from scratch? Since I run most everything in lxd containers and use zfs on a separate disk, upgrading is as simple as installing/compiling zfs and lxd and restoring the lxd databases, but maybe there is a better approach besides reinstalling and compiling packages?

Im using armbian server edition. Im trying to setup my box to route internet from end0 (192.168.1.6) to internet on usb0 (dhcp). Im running dns & dhcp via docker adguard - but assume thats not working for now because once the nftable rules are applied I cannot access their web interfaces. But for now ping with ip is okay. With my current setup I can ping the internet from the 'router' via the interface usb0. Hi, I built a NAS with a Raspberry PI. It runs ARMBIAN 5.46, a SAMBA server and an NFS server. There are also 5 disks that are combined as RAID5. Since yesterday I can no longer log in, neither via SSH nor directly on the Raspberry Pi. When I try via SSH, I get the password query, the start message about the current status and then the connection is closed. When I log in directly to the system, I get the login query (username and password) and then the message "Module is unknown". Then the login request comes again. Hi I just managed to ssh into my banana pi m2 zero. I noticed it had python 3.10 already installed. But when I tried to pip install, every package ends up saying: ``` ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement dearpygui (from versions: none) ERROR: No matching distribution found for dearpygui ``` no matter what package I try. I also tried installing miniconda but the aarch64.sh version for some reason uses conda.exe and the installation process stops there. How do I fix this?

My system boots from EMMC and the entire system is on EMMC. I make a nightly clone of the entire system to an SD card for backup purposes. For some reason the system sees both the EMMC and the SD when I try to boot it from the clone, and chooses the EMMC. Is there a way to force the system to boot from the SD card?

Hi! I have a problem with the Banana Pi M2 Zero. I am trying to use its one wire interface, but with no success. I have enabled the w1-gpio module in the armbian-config menu, but I still cannot get it to work. I tried using the neopixels library, within python for the control of the leds. The GPIO as I saw that should work on is GPIO 4, Board pin 7. The neopixel library says that the board is not supported, however it lists the M2 Zero as a possible board interface. I also added to armbianEnv.txt the param_w1_pin=PA6, which is supposed to deliver PWM1 signal as well. Can anyone help me, to get it to work? Thank you in advance!

The other still runs Buster to my fullest satisfaction. What I noticed, however, is that - among other changes - APM is no longer available. So I need to know what I have to do to get MIDI messages into my music app that I'm working on. I developed a cli synth app on Manjaro using SDL3 and Jack. I think I have everything setup, nm even says its connected, but isn't. With about 15 entries in FQDN format in the /etc/hosts file, and the hostname set to whats before the first dot of one of the entries, ip a still doesn't show an ipv4 address. and ip r is an empty return. What all do I need to set?, it all looks kosher to me.

I am using armbian minimal and le potato. In tty the screen has a black bar of unusable space and cuts off about 1.5 lines at the bottom. I managed to install sway and sddm with the use of clearing the terminal. In sddm the top and probably the other sides of the screen gets cut off, It cuts off like half of the text at the top. In sway it has a blue bar at the top and cuts off the bottom like it does in tty. I don't really care about fixing sddm but I want to fix sway and tty. After booting up, the network card cannot be recognized on armsom. The network card is Broadcom's bcm4375. Hello. I own a Orange Pi 5 Plus. This SBC has a RGB led and Armbian uses it to show the system load as a heartbeat blink. The problem is that the 3 colors are out of sync later than 15 minutes from boot. Is there a way to resync the 3 colors? Thanks.

Installation of autheila package ("apt install authelia") does does end with error due to /var/log/journal beeing a symlink to /var/log.hdd/journal. Once the symlink is removed and the directory is created instead, the installation can be completed successfully. The symlink can be recreated afterwards and authelia wil steill run normally - until the next package update.

Hello, I have an odroid hc4 which I am mainly using as a home NAS. I chose Armbian + OMV (headless) and it works really well. Now I tried using it as a media center at the same time with kodi. I tried both the "old" kodi version from the debian repos and also the flatpak version. For both it seems like the hardware acceleration isn't working. I can run youtube 1080p with vp9 quite fine, but neither 1080p with h264, nor anything 4k, at this resolutions it's stuttering a lot. Also the CPU-usage is always very high. Hi, I have problem with full disk /var/log and to problem is with systemd-journald. I can't understand, how it works. armbian-truncate-logs works fine. When is /var/log more than 75% full, the script truncates a log and files are copied to disk /var/log.hdd -> no problem here before midnight is my /var/log 40% full after midnight is my /var/log 100% full When I was investigating, where the problem was, I found that /var/log.hdd was bigger than the size of my partition /var/log. Not sure why but after sudo update Kodi.bin disappeared was getting an error kodi.bin not found I was trying to reinstall it with sudo apt Iinstall Kodi, but I was still getting the same error. Until I discover that I had to run command Sudo apt install kodi-bin This worked.

On Armbian 25.2.1, I can't find package tags. In contrast, on a pure Debian host (non-armbian), the command "apt-cache show gcc" says in part: Tag: devel::compiler, devel::lang:c, devel::library, implemented-in::c, interface::commandline, role::devel-lib, role::metapackage, role::program, suite::gnu, works-with::software:source I'd also like to see tags on Armbian so I can search for packages based on their tags. Hello, I encounted an issue with chromium. By default, armbian has PSD (profile-sync-deamon) enabled, and when chromium started, it links the profile dir (~/.config/chromium) to /run/user/1000/chromium-user However, it breaks the cookies. If I reboot the box, and start chromium to visit a website I logged in, the login session was lost. I took me much time to understand the reason, finally I found it's the symbolic link. Hello I'm trying to setup OpenCL on Armbian 22.04 Xfce. I have an Orange Pi 5 board. I observed that there is a libOpenCL.so under /usr/lib/aarch{...} but when I echo "libOpenCL.so" into /etc/OpenCL/vendors/mali.icd, clinfo still says "Number of devices: 0". By the way, on Ubuntu 22.04 Xfce, clinfo works after following the exact same steps. Anyone any ideas? Thanks !!!

Getting an external IP address over network request as part of MOTD info is completle ruined ssh session start when board cant connect to desired server to get this address. It's get_wan_address function inside https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/main/packages/bsp/common/etc/update-motd.d/30-armbian-sysinfo . You can easy check this just by disable access to internet on you router and try to open new ssh session. After i mask this function call all worked well. Hello I wanted to post on here regarding a new project we have been working on called SimpNAS. Its similar to OpenMediaVault or FreeNAS but simpler and more basic. Its currently in Beta but we are looking to have a stable release by the time Kobol ARM NAS gets released. It can be installed on armbian devices as long as it has two hard drives one for the OS and one for Data. For example we have it installed on an ODroid HC2, but can be installed on any PC. Feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I've had issues using Wireguard in Armbian. I worked out a method to install but on reinstalls this method has run into problems. I've since developed a new method but am getting a strange error as below. Can anyone interpret this and tell me if it's likely to be problematic and if so is there a way forward? I've searched the Wireguard repository and there doesn't seem to be an arch specific buildset. TIA The /var/lib/dkms/wireguard/1.0.20210219/6.1.11-rockchip64/aarch64/dkms.conf for module wireguard includes a BUILD_EXCLUSIVE directive which does not match this kernel/arch. I have Armbian 24.8.4 running on my CubieTruck. I wanted to experiment with running an access point on it, and was able to configure and run hostapd to do so. But now I want it to be a Wi-Fi client again and it appears that I royally screwed something up while playing with hostapd. When I run armbian-config and select the Network option, nothing about Wi-Fi shows up any more. Any suggestions where to start to get things back to how they were out-of-the-box? A reinstall is not an option.

In the official Armbian Radxa Rock 5C Gnome image (nobel) the WiFi hardware is detected, but in the server image (nobel) the WiFi hardware is not detected. Edit. I see I can use WiFi in armbian-config, but it does not show up in gnome on the server image.

The default /. bashrc over rides any title or name setting set on the command line for all xterm and urxvt terms. This is very ugly and irresponsible behavior. I'm not sure where the source is kept but those lines of code need to be removed. Setting the prompt is one thing, smashing the title and name is something else.

I post this only as information if someone want to test it and see if there are differences. I know that Armbian use own script to manage zram. There is too systemd-zram-generator in sid repository now as the newest version (for long time was old version 0.3.x).
