  1. Hello everyone, I have been searching on the net trying to find a way to activate 3d acceleration since i want to use Jellyfin on my orange pi 5. After searching I found the option for ubuntu but not for bullseye, unfortunately I'm using bullseye due to OMV which won't work on ubuntu to use for my media server. Is there any way to turn on the 3d acceleration on Debian? I mean it should be possible since technically Ubuntu is based on Debian. but i was wondering if there are any steps that I need to follow.

Hello all, I wanted to start using the camera on my RockPI 4B today, but unfortunately I can't find an entry for it under "armbian-config" and under "boot/config*" I personally can't clearly identify the setting/parameter for it. Can you please help me with this? That would be very helpful for me, thank you. Kind regards Z. Matthias

Hi! I'm sorry, didn't noticed I had posted in wrong section, so here we go again! I'm trying to activate X11 hardware acceleration on this board. It's running an RT PREEMPT Kernel from the project AllwinCNC which aim to run linuxcnc software using ARISC core to generate steps in realtime. Unfortunately, I'm getting very bad performance in X11 with lima driver. It seems to be running on software and not the lima driver itself and I'd like to know if it is possible to have the graphics acceleration done in hardware instead. CPU usage is going to 100% and it is resulting in errors on the aforementioned CNC controller software due to this. BOARD: Oran…

  5. In the latest image for NanoPi M1 Plus, I enable the analog audio I/O on the card by adding overlays=analog-codec in /boot/armbianEnv.txt But the microphone on the card is disabled by default, because the ALSA control "Mic1 Playback Switch" is set to false by default on the card. Worse still, this mixer control does not appear in the alsamixer GUI, and the only way to set to true is to use the amixer command line utility, for example with: amixer cset name="Mixer Capture Switch" on on I can do this inside a first boot script, and then ALSA will persist the state between reboots. But does not seem ideal, and took me a very long time to …

  6. Hello everyone, I'm using SBC Rockpi4b running the Armbian system. I encountered a problem when using the Ethernet port. I connected the SBC to my laptop via an ethernet cable directly, just like what I did with the RaspberryPi. while playing with RaspberryPi (Raspbian OS) I can get the ethernet connected, the ip address is set to 168.254.xxx.xxx, i.e., private address. then I can successfully ping the RaspberryPi's ip address in my PC. while playing with the SBC (Armbian OS), the network manager seems to keep waiting a DHCP server repeatedly; and after a while (around 40 seconds) it pops up saying the ethernet disconnected; the only way I can make it connected is to set…

How is it possible to add the second wireless interface bound to the same physical WiFi adapter? This question is brought up from the following thread : http://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/1346-howto-create-software-wireless-access-point/ This was already discussed. I tried building an image with root encryption enabled but apparently, has stated on the wiki, it is possible that no prompt will be shown during the boot process. This is exactly what is happening to me, the boot process halts without showing anyway of entering the passphrase. Is there a way to solve this issue ? Or to reach my goal with a different method ? In the past I used a lower end Sandisk's and used external flash drive with nand-sata-install to move system due to endurance. What is the status as of today? Are Sandisk Ultra A1's better than flash drives (i.e. not special "high endurance" ones). I need to ask because the installation is not easy to reach (another part of the city) and current problems may be because of flash failure (didn't get my hand on the devices yet). Any pointers will be much appreciated. PS: I found this today, very interesting read... https://www.delkin.com/technology/flash-endurance/

  21. Hi folks, I'm new to the Armbian project. I have an old board (pcduino3nano) that I never managed to get working because I found the built in OS to be lacking and the general linksprite environment poor as compared to that of the RaspberryPi. If I `apt install hostapd` I can get hostapd to start up. If I use `hostapd-realtek` it doesn't. Some of the armbian docs say look for and try '/usr/sbin/hostapd-rt', but I can't figure out how to get that; Maybe that note is out of date? It starts up, but doesn't seem to work. I want to snapshot the file system as a preparation step to backing up, so it looks like I have 2 choices now: 1. ext4 on LVM 2. btrfs -> Will 1. work with u-boot/armbian at all? Hi people, I need your help, I have been struggling to make this method work (https://github.com/zador-blood-stained/fel-mass-storage or https://github.com/ThomasKaiser/sunxi-armbian-flasher-osx) on the A20 processor for several days, but nothing works, I use Einstein-A20 (https://mega.nz/#F!ZtwxCCJC!AIYHcTqz-ucjuzKnE9qD7A?5xZ3iT4J) and enter the FEL mode using the special button UBOOT_SELECT. I made my own support for this board for uboot (_defconfig, .dts) and compiled u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin (Scroll down). script.bin took from cubietruck. That is, I use the h3 folder, only: zImage, uInitrd, boot.scr Сonnect the board in FEL mode t…

  95. Hello everyone, I give you a 2017 discussion about a modified version of ffmpeg called Cedrus for H3 processors at 32bit. Since the h5 is 64 bit and the code they speak is quite old, therefore I cannot use it, I wonder if there is any version of ffmpeg that takes advantage of the HW acceleration of the H5 processors. Thank you Max

  98. Started by 13hm13,

I am copying a folder from one drive to another. The transfer operation encounters duplicate files and ask me to Replace, Replace All, Skip, Skip All ,etc. Some of the files may be the same filename but different file-size (e.g., one is bigger than the other). If I choose Skip All, will Armbian Skip regardless of file-size? Or, if I select Skip All, will it show another message when it encounters same filename but different filesize?

It displays the above file names with proper Asian characters. Thank you in advance for any hint!!
