  14. So I'm fairly new to Armbian (although I have already managed to successfully create a custom build with most of what I need). Sadly, I've very much hit a blocker. I really need to use linux-tools/perf on an RK3588 board with a vendor kernel (I'm using the Mali OpenCL, and the ARM packages are mostly locked) and I need to do some performance tuning. I cannot figure out how to get these tools deployed. 1. There are no linux-tools packages build -- which is fair enough, I'm probably in a minority. Some parts of the tools directories are culled during a cleaning process for the headers, I can see that 2. I am happy to copy over the kernel source and build o…

Hi, I searched around for any new info on the 3rd USB port (header pins next to the 40pin header) and couldn't find anything new than the 2016 post that found its existance, the rest I found was acknowledgement that the H3 has 3 real USB ports, I am trying to enable this port since it seems it isn't enabled by default even in the latest Armbian, how exactly can it be enabled, the whole script.bin change from 2016 got me confused, is it the usb3host option in armbian-config? Edit, spoke too soon, even though the info is missing actually, it was the usb3host in armbian-config>system>hardware, I had the pins the wrong way, D+ is on the outside. Also w…

Following on from the link at the bottom, I'm trying to set an interrupt handler in my loadable kernel module onto a seperate core that I've isolated from the normal scheduler (using isolcpus=2,3 in boot.cmd/.scr). I'm using the irq_set_affinity_hint in the following manner, but it has no effec…

The result I get is:chmod: cannot access '/opt/vc/bin/tvservice': No such file or directory. I believe the module is set up for Raspberry pi and the issue I'm having is due to disconnected libraries? 23. Hi everybody, I'm using the Armbian Buster mainline based kernel 5.10.y image on https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero-plus-2-h3/ but I also tried the Focal one. I searched the forum deeply and I saw that someone in the past (forum post closed, otherwise I would have continued there) managed to have BT working by "faking" the /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin, that boot tries to load having error -2, copying the ap6212/fw_bcm43438a1.bin in its place. But it seems that it only works with legacy images, infact, with my mainline image I keep failing. Which legacy image should I look for? I was thinking that https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero…

  47. I have an N2+ that I'm flashing Debian Buster onto an emm card. Have tried numerous times in several variations -- flash emm, boot system, log in via ssh, set up personal account, "apt update", "apt upgrade", reboot. After that I cannot log in via ssh anymore. I am using the system in headless mode and don't currently have a working serial connection (SiLabs hasn't updated their drivers to Big Sur yet) so I can't tell if the system is booting but ssh isn't working. Anyone know why "apt upgrade" would cause it to not boot or not present an ssh server properly?

I under stand it is caused by not having a lot of development into the screen size adjusting software. It is essential that the lead developers prioritize the main Armbian bugs issues and I do not consider on the fly screen resizing a major issue when a stop gap solution could possibly work. My temporary solution would simply be that all logins scripts be tripled. ie.. Login login login: password password password: Enter New Password Enter New Password Enter New Password: S…

I placed it into my NanoPC T4 - which currently boots from the eMMC, and held the boot button while powering on. It tried to boot - but it kept reporting there was no bootloader file and seemed to be trying to load something from the internet, not the SD card. If I dont press the boot button, it simply ignores the SD card and boots from eMMC. I reburned the SD card several times, and each time it verified fine. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

Thus, in /usr/lib/armbian/armbian-ramlog , the directory /var/log/journal is excluded from standard log rotation and copying to HDD. Instead, it is copied once to /var/log.hdd/journal and a soft-link is created: /var/log/journal pointing to -> /var/log.hdd/journal . 95. Odroid N2. Armbian Ubuntu 22.04 kernel 5.10.123. xfce. Bluman 2.2.4 Adapter is Realtek rtl8821CU Wifi/Bluetooth. Drivers were present. Device Sony SRS-X2. The device is seen when searching but fails to pair. The only message is "bluetooth pairing failed." and "br-connection-already-connected" I'm note sure by what already connected means. It definitely is not connected.

  97. Started by dervxerox,

I'm running Armbian on an Orange PI zero and I want to change the default ftp port because I have another device on my network that uses ftp and I want to forward the port. FTP seems switched on by default, I didn't install it so I don't know which ftp program it is.

  98. Am i not looking in the right place ? I am trying to get the image for this board. But I cant seem to find a download link. I proceed to look at other boards and I dont see download links anywhere. Some insight on this normally trivial task would be appreciated. https://www.armbian.com/renegade/

  99. Hello, i tried to set up a little samba server with armbian on a odroid c2. If i use only the sd card, without any external storage, the system works fine, but if i connect any usb storage to the odroid c2, the system is booting into a bootloop or stops booting If i connect the usb storage after the first bios display, the system boot is fine. I think, the bootloader is trying to boot from the usp storage after detecting this, so is there an option to modify the bootloader, so it is only trying to boot from the pluged in sd card?
