I am not shure if this is board specific so I post it here and hope that you might be willing to try this on your board: - I installed audit: apt install auditd - I set up a rule for a file audit should watch: auditctl -w /boot/armbianEnv.txt -p wa - I change or touch the file being watched: touch /boot/armbianEnv.txt - I have a look at the log of audit: cat /var/log/audit/audit.log And then ––– I see nothing... Any hints what's going wrong? My guess is that the kernel might be lacking the audit module?!

  4. I have compiled OpenCPN Marine Chart plotter and navigation software for the Orange Pi PC with the Mali graphics acceleration. It seems to be working fine. I am trying to document the process and possibly make a prebuilt image available at opencpn.org. http://opencpn.org/ocpn/Install_Orange_pi_Allwinner I am not happy with the name they gave me for the page. And the details at: http://kb7kmo.blogspot.com/2016/04/opencpn-on-orange-pi-allwinner-h3-arm.html My question is how should I reference armbian? And how should I reference the hardware? Hello, I'm trying to build a image using the amazing auto builder supplied by armbian. In the past I've build kernels and modules for linux running at CycloneV-Devices. I don't need graphic support. If I use the image for a M2 Plus there is a initialization issue at mmc: MMC: SUNXI SD/MMC: 0, SUNXI SD/MMC: 1 Card did not respond to voltage select! mmc_init: -95, time 22 So I'm stuck. Is there a way to get it running by using the auto builder? Using the stock image provided by the manufacturer works. Regards, Sombohan

I'm trying to access GPIO through python using the following library: https://github.com/duxingkei33/orangepi_PC_gpio_pyH3 Online guides say that for OPi One this should be a plug and play solution. However, for me, the pins dont seem to be mapping properly, running dir(ports) and dir(connector) yields the results shown here All the PAx pins are missing, and the results bare no similarity to the actual pin config found here any help appreciated, Andy

  9. I am currently working on a Development Board based on RK3288. We are using Rockchip kernel as mentioned here https://github.com/rockchip-linux/kernel This uses libdrm (DRI) for its rendering purposes. But it has limitations. Only one CRTC is connected out of 2. It provides 8 planes, out of which only 4 are available for the working CRTC, out of which user available OVERLAY planes are only 2, and out of which only 1 Plane supports NV12 rendering. I need to show 2-4 videos simultaneously, can anyone help me here on how to procure more planes, particularly NV12 compatible OVERLAY type, that can be connected to the working CRTC?

  12. At 19:54:55 kernel crash happens. That for some reason forces system to change time to Aug 24 1978. systemd reacts to that situation strangely, which puts system under unresponsive state, like infinite loop, potentially causing 100% cpu occupation (this is guess now) The printouts "Aug 24 07:45:10 ptc_lab_collab3_node17 systemd[20635]: Time has been changed" follows many times per second until node is rebooted manually. 53. Hello, It's been more than two days working to solution. I have gone deep into the documentation and forum posts before asking this. Much of the information in this subforum is c 2017, and relates to /etc/init.d locations which are now obsolete, etc. Definitive assistance is much appreciated! I'm building clean Armbian-based images, for a number of unsupported desktop configurations on unsupported boards. These have been fantastically functional, I I'd like to make these available as community-supported releases. I do not expect such a hybrid configuration, despite using an Armbian kernel package, and an Armbian Focal base filesystem image, to ever be suppor…

  54. Hello all. A possible mission impossible challenge for someone who wishes to accept it and this message will not self-destruct in 10 seconds. :-) The LED1 (green) and LED2 (blue) on the BanabaPi Pro. How do I get them to show the watchdog heart beat and the MMC card usage? An out-of-date Rasbian Distro for the Lemaker BananaPi Pro had this feature this right-out-of-the-box, but at the moment on Armbian I've only got the steady red power LED. Is there a way to enable this functionality within Armbian?

Hello, I have a few small questions: Cubietruck with latest Armbian Two log folders, /var/log and /var/log.hdd, the first kept in RAM that's regularly copied to the SD-Card, keeping the wear of the SD small This used to work flawlessly, I don't know when this changed Lately I realized that the RAM-disk is flooded very quickly by something that is writing to /var/log/journal/random_hex_number/ until it runs OOM. Almost all other logs are empty, likely because a lot more gets written to the journal log. Unfortunately the content of all files in the journal subfolder contain binary data, the only commonality I see is that all files start…

  58. Hello all, I hope this finds everyone well. This is my first post and I’m not sure where to put it so, as per forum instructions, I’m dropping this here. After the last update released on July 6th, 2023 that fixed a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issue (thank you), another issue developed. The calendar displays words and letters in a language that I’m not familiar with. It appears to be beautiful looking symbols, but unfortunately, they are meaningless to me. I have attempted to correct this in every way I know but with no luck. The date and time format will change but the language will not. This hasn’t happened with the previous versions. I’m in th…

Can armbian run under 3.4.39 kernel? https://github.com/BPI-SINOVOIP/BPI-M3-bsp To make build reproducible I need to fork this repo and made modifications of the file tree. As I know, Banana Pi M3 now can boot under mainline uboot. Also, there are some binary blobs to support GPU on this board, and I want to try those packages to get hardware acceleration.
