Hello All, I have configured OrangePiR1 as router. There are three network interfaces, two as wired and one wifi(hotspot). eth0 serve for access to internet(via ppp/adsl) and eth1+Wlan0 for internal network. Interfaces eth1 and wlan0 are in bridge br0. Problem is, that interface eth1 sometimes loses connection/link(cable and switch were checked ). Next nonstandard behavior of eth1 is, that only yellow led control is blinking, while green led control is not alight. Network interfaces were configured via file /etc/network/interfaces. However, when I checked network manager nmcli, I saw, that some connections are configured there too (there can …

Good evening, I ran into some problems with sbc-bench on a couple of Allwinner boards Orange Pi Zero, Orange Pi Zero+, Orange Pi One and Nanopi Neo 2 spcifically. The 7 Zip benchmark causes the following error: ./sbc-bench.sh: Zeile 611: 4206 Bus-Zugriffsfehler "${SevenZip}" b >> ${TempLog} Most likely due to a problem with the ZRam: zram: Decompression failed! err=-22 This happens on all boards under Debian and focal with different SD cards and power supplies. The benchmark ran previously on this setups without any issues – unfortunately I don’t know when it stopped working and hence cannot narrow do…

Hello! I'm running CB2 board as home server for a long time and after recent upgrade I've got an issue with LXC container. LXC container has "Ubuntu" inside and provides TOR functionalty + access point via connected USB wifi. USB adapter passed to container like this: lxc-wait -n tor -s RUNNING lxc-device -n tor add wlan0 I'm not using it recently, but recently I found, that after connection to AP nothing happens (no internet, DNS servers are IPV6 :)) and host system (CB2) is completely frozen. After reboot I've connected via SSH and retried to connect to access point - again freeze, and screen is populated with this: …

Hi all. I build Armbian for "orangepipcplus" as described here: https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Build-Preparation/ After build finished, I've got Armbian_5.24_Orangepipcplus_Ubuntu_xenial_3.4.113.img image, flash it to SD card, and my OPi starts well, thanks! All things that necessary for my work tasks - works fine: USB, USB OTG, WiFi, but... no Ethernet :-( When I plug Ethernet cable into my PC and OPi - no LED blinks at both sides (but Ethernet on PC 100% works, tested with Raspberry Pi, for example). In console kernel logs I see the following: [ **] A start job is running for Raise network interfaces (26s / 5min 6s) And OPi actually wa…

Hi! I just bought a NanoPi M1 board and It is running with Armbian without problem. Now I want to add a DHT22 temp & hum sensor but searching in the web I cant find any script to get it work. I saw that the RPi script doesn't work on the NanoPi M1 because the chip is differnt. In the Friendlyarm page there is a C script to work with the DHT11, but nothing with the DHT22. So, anyone have been experimenting whit it in this context? There are a Wiring Pi equivalent to NanoPi M1? Thanks

I've a problem with latest Armbian Debian Server stretch (ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.14.18-sunxi, Uboot loader 2017.11) on OrangePI One, and OrangePI PC. It boots seemingly OK, but without any output to 1080P HDMI monitor. So I've no video. But Ubuntu Desktop with Legacy kernel boots fine using the same SDCard (and same power supply ). I can SSH to the Debian after boot, here's the boot and diag log. Couldn't wait for senseless SDCard testing to finish, as it works perfect with Armbian Ubuntu Desktop version. Legacy version on 1st boot shown boot progress and defaulted to 720P resolution, which I changed later to 1080P. But Debian Server doesn't sh…

I'm trying to get audio out work on Orange Pi Lite using HDMI. aplay -l lists sndhdmi as card #1 and I have set it up as default in ~/.asoundrc. aplay -v shows it being used, but my AV receiver doesn't recognise the Pi nor output any sound. The same cable & receiver works fine with e.g. Macbook Pro. Should the HDMI audio output work in the legacy Jessie server image for OPi Lite? If yes, how could I debug more why it doesn't seem to work?

Hi, just installed Armbian 5.38 mainline (both debian server or Ubuntu server fresh installation). There are two processs eating cpu (kworker), and I read some other users have the same issue, but there is a solution? Other problem: I use this board with Bluetooth dongle to monitor my solar plant. Sometimes Bluetooth dongle disappear from lsusb or hcitool scan tell me device is busy with no reason, just unplug and reconnect usb dongle and all restart to work again (tried with two different Bluetooth dongle, this dongle works with no problem at all in another orange pi pc, no disconnection or disappear). Hi, I just installed the Armbian_5.35_Orangepilite_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop.img on my 32GB SD card for my new OPi Lite. On start-up the screen res overlaps the monitor a the top and bottom and the screen text is thin, fuzzy and illegible in places. I can see from the Fine Tuning section of the Armbian documentation and a post by tkaiser that the h3disp utility can be used to modify the script.bin file to permanently update the start-up screen res. I have a NEC MultiSync LCD1830 that's optimal res is 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz to 76 Hz so naturally I'm trying set this resolution. The monitor is connected to the Opi Lite via a VGA to HDMI adaptor. Si…

I don't know if it is bad luck or some obscure legal reason but 2 of my USB dongles needed to add firmware files from other distributions before they worked perfectly: They are : TerraTec Electronic GmbH Cinergy T RC MKII using dvb_usb_af9015 missing dvb-usb-af9015.fw 15913 bytes from 30/03/2015 Ralink Technology, Corp. After about 10-20 hours of normal work the IP address on USB wifi adapter disappears. Ethernet adapter connected to the same router works well at the same time. System diagnosis information is collected when IP address is missing. After re-plug USB-adapter into the same USB port or reboot, the IP address appears back. Board: Orange PI PC, WIFI: EDUP dual-band on 8811CU chip, built-in drivers Image: 20.11.3 focal Router: Keenetic Ultra Previously I used built-in wifi of Orange PI+ and I didn't have similar problem. Is the problem specific to the WIFI adapter?

Good morning, first of all sorry for my English, I'm not native and I use a translator. I'm working on a project with the orange pi plus 2e and I need to protect the internal memory emmc, I installed in emmc "ARMBIAN 5.25 stable Debian GNU / Linux 8 (jessie) 3.4.113-sun8i" and I ask myself the following: How can I protect the internal memory so that it is not accessible by inserting an SD card and mounting the emmc partition? That is, I give my client the orange pi configured and no sd card inserted, starts with emmc, but if someone inserts an sd card with any image for this card can mount the internal partition and access the contents. Hi, I have an Orange PI Lite on to which I'd like to install the latest Armbian release. A board (nanopi neo) collects some information and stores it to SD card. Users than change the SD card and open it on PC (windows). Due windows limitation, there is only one (first) partition (fat/ntfs) can be visible. Current mainline image for nanopi neo contains only one ext4 partition, so I tried to gparted it (moved first partition and made new FAT16 one), but for some reason, the image did not boot. So I'm looking for info, how to make two partitions properly.

So I apologise in advance because I'm sure it's probably on this forum but I could not work out the buzzwords to find it. For whatever reason, I upgraded the cubietruck with armbian which has been on since forever and rebooted for the first time this year. I already had installed the system to my SATA SSD, so this isn't a huge deal. I've flashed the latest armbian release onto the SD card and it boots fine. Now, I see there is an install to sata option in armbian-config but it gives me the warning that it will wipe …

Hi guys, I have PCDuino 3 Nano which worked fine on latest ARMBIAN on Debian Jessie which is moving to EOL and armbian support for this board was dropped due to lack of devices. I have used it mainly as OMV sever with sata drive but now I migrate to a x86 install and this board will be wiped as I would like to use at as vpn server etc. What are my alternatives? I know that still are a lot of A20 boards that have armbian support. Which of them I can use and what probably won't work?

Hello everyone, this is my first post so please be patient. I am using armbian for a long time on my cubietruck, but this time I got a problem with my Orange Pi One. I have build a Embedded Cluster [1] out of a cubietruck, 5 Orange Pi PC and one Orange Pi One system. Since yesterday I have modified my cluster chassis. Maybe but just maybe a short circuit happened on my OPiOne because of some assembly issues I had during it's installation. The problem is that it OPiOne does not boot any more. The red and green LED are still turned off. The two LED'S of the ethernet port are always switched on. Nothing to see on a screen attached to the HDMI port. It a…

Hi, as it is quite hot now in Europe, one of my boards is experiencing overheat and shuts down automatically: Jun 25 16:52:27 localhost kernel: [74505.568246] thermal thermal_zone0: critical temperature reached (90 C), shutting down Who is initiating this shutdown? Is it possible to: 1. Change the temperature value that triggers the shutdown 2. Hook a script instead of direct shutdown so I can handle the overheat Thanks

Hi, couple of month ago I installed Armbian on my Cubietruck. I didn't really use it much, but today I decided to start using it, and obviously the right way to do so is to update to the latest version. So when I started, I had this version on my Cubietruck: ARMBIAN Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS 3.4.112-sun7i I followed Igor's instructions at http://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/#how-to-update : apt-get update apt-get upgrade apt-get install -f apt-get upgrade apt-get autoremove -y However, I received the following error message after the first instance of "upgrade": ... Hi, Over the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to get Pi-hole working (and more importantly, stable) on the Orange Pi (along with the relevant Orange Pi zero H2+ ARMbian OS) without success. I realize that I am using "Tested" but as yet not marked "Stable" code, however I'm hoping this can help somebody here perhaps in terms of developing a stable OS for these little boards. I have rebuilt the SD card from scratch several time now. The SD card is of reputable make (Sandisk) and in fact I have tried two different cards, just in case this was a card issue. I'm using a reliable power supply, which I have verified by continuously monitoring it with my …

I live in the desert in California and the only Internet access I have is using PDANet on my phone. Is there a way to build an SD Card using rufus (which is a great app by the way) that I can use to load LXDE on my Olimex Micro? Once I get the desktop loaded I will get PDANet working on Olimex, but this seems like the lessor of two evils. I have both Jessie and Wheezy working and I'm still running off of the SDCard's. I have SSH working in both versions if that helps. thanks in advance. Mike

I've noticed that Armbian builds are taking a really long time to power up on Orange Pi PC and Orange Pi One. Is there some way I can see what's going on in the bootloader that's causing these long delays? Also, if I run apt-get dist-upgrade and take the latest kernel, it never boots after that point. I think something's wrong with the boot sector (or whatever it is) that is written/updated on the SDCard. The Orange Pi power LEDs don't light up until the bootloader successfully finds an OS on the SDCard. All of the builds over at orangepi.org work just fine but the Armbian ones aren't working right. I'm using a diverse collection of very high-quality SDC…

For days now I have been fighting to get this thing working. No boot, No hdmi, no sound, no wireless network and so on. Armbian is anyway the best choice for this device, Supported? well yes if you have lan, true HDMI Well i got it to boot, after writing a new image to sd card. finally booted, no signal detected ( with a DVI > HDMI ), I had to hook it up to a true HDMI and modify the script.bin file to get a signal. Got it to boot all the way to the desktop. Hurray ! Plugged in a crappy wifi adapter from Ali express (realtek 8081 i think it is) and I got wifi, jippi. Next time booting no wifi, no matter what I tried. Made a new image again, with modi…

I am operating a headless data acquisition system with Orange Pi Zero Plus2. In the readings I collect among others data from a discrete separate 18B20 sensor and record the H3 CPU temperature. The 18B20 reading comes from the w1 kernel routine, the CPU temp is provided by armbian OS. With the new OS 5.8.16 I see a strange effect: reading .... the external sensor at /sys/bus/w1/devices/<sensID>/temperature and the CPU temperature at /etc/armbianmonitor/datasources/@soctemp it gives the same reading correct to a 1/100 degree. Even when the system runs low power - this cannot be true. I have no idea how these results can be mixed in t…

As title says, how to install image on eMMC on this board? My board works fine on TF card with every image FriendlyElec, DietPi and you here provide, but i haven't managed to make it boot from eMMC. On official Wiki there are some misleading. For Ubuntu they say to select image from eflasher and burn it on TF card. Eflasher folder has two images. Which one? Although i tried both. Anyway, if i burn boot image on TF card, should eMMC stays empty or to burn on it, say, root image? Or to burn root image on TF? I had a few attempts but no luck. Obviously. On Android, they say to insert TF card into PC and burn image on eMMC? LOL. Again should i burn any…

I've been trying lots of stuff, read a lot but could not make it work. What I need is to make a video player. If someone pushes a button a specific video will be played. So simple. I wrote scripts to to automate device setups. All fine. To play videos I installed LXDE and mpv. The video did not work as there is no acceleration. Hello everyone, Around July 2018 I was able to successfully build an Armbian image for NanoPi Duo using provided documentation: https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_Build-Preparation/ The reason I decided to build the image was that I needed it with legacy kernel 3.4.113. For some reason there were significant problems with using the mainline kernel with direwolf application which is an amateur radio APRS modem. The device hanged with mainline kernel after few hours of operation without any reason and this was not an overheat problem (temperatures below 50 degrees and a huge heatsink). I believe that it is some problem with audio driver for H2 wh…

The signal strength vary between 79 to 95 % on 20 MHz channel(s) while from -1 to 36 % on 40 MHz channel(s) and the connection is not possible. It seems the driver still needs some more tweak. I am making some testing over A20-SOM from Olimex. Hi, I am fairly new to the SBC board and struggling to begin my setup of the NanoPo NEO Air. This little board is a perfect fit for my project I need to develop. The first problem I encounter is the following: There are no HDMI port. Thus I can't do the basic configuration for my network and allow an SSID access.
