I am a Linux-Newbee myself but in the DOS/Windows-world I was programmer and admin. But my friend is a total user-only (he is physiotherapist an GOOD in that) so I ended up being his computerman. We both have the rockPi 4 A (no WLAN) with Armbian XFCE. He also has some pad with Android. Everything was good for about a year. He is using Telegram a lot. On the pad he had several messages about a Telegram update, one click, done. On the RockPi with Armbian instead he had messages about using an outdated version of Telegram which soon will cease functioning. No Updates offered. He installed Telegram new which worked, but after a restart he had the old versio…

Hi all, SPI has been enabled into /boot/armbianEnv.txt with: overlays=spi-spidev param_spidev_spi_bus=0 Nothing works knowing that the wiring between device and BPI has been checked more than 3 time. 4. After trying different distro for the BPI M2 Zero, I installed Armbian, and it works great with a standard 16:9 screen. Now I would like to use a bar LCD (Waveshare 7.9 inches); but the setup instructions are for RPI, not for Armbian, so I am not sure how you set up a screen that is not default (And I exclude that I can just plug in the screen and it will magically work. I am not using X interface since the BPI is quite slow, so I am in terminal. Thanks

Hi there, I've recently flashed armbian on my sd card for my odroid c4. At some point I may have restarted it and it is no longer booting. When I plug in the odroid it is stuck on the boot screen with the spinning symbol. I used the latest desktop version armbian jammy when setting up. I am unable to flash over this on the sd card and it is not able to be formatted by windows. I tried diskpart etc but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help me out? Thanks -R

But internal clock of the bus is 1.5 MHz, and if i try to communicate with 1 Mb/s, error is too big. Is it possible somehow change internal clock of the uart? Or maybe any other possibilities how to configure such communication ? Or maybe you know any models with higher internal clock of the bus (Like on 6.5 MHz on raspberry pi 4, for example) ? 14. Hi everyone, After migrating to a nvme ssd using the recommended official adapters, I've run into this issue. (Been really frustrating not been able to boot reliably, replug it until it works) Before I migrated, if I went fdisk -l it would start flashing and always show up. It's only when booting, it seems to be unable to boot/stay on most of the time. 1) I put power into pi. 2) The ssd blinks, if it stops blinking, it didn't boot. If it keeps blinking success. Is there a way to delay mounting the ssd or better debug this issue?

  52. Started by barish,

I am not shure if this is board specific so I post it here and hope that you might be willing to try this on your board: - I installed audit: apt install auditd - I set up a rule for a file audit should watch: auditctl -w /boot/armbianEnv.txt -p wa - I change or touch the file being watched: touch /boot/armbianEnv.txt - I have a look at the log of audit: cat /var/log/audit/audit.log And then ––– I see nothing... Any hints what's going wrong? My guess is that the kernel might be lacking the audit module?!

  53. Hardware: RPi4B Image: Armbian_22.05.1_Rpi4b_jammy_current_5.15.36.img.xz armbian-config does not show "Hardware" option under "System". I used the best SDcard I have. The PSU works for everything I've plugged it into. I re-flashed the SDcard several times. And I tried some ways that I googled and some postings here. All to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

When I reboot Armbian the LEDs stop to blinking but I can clearly listen the rust-drives spinning, also the LCD is still active. Initially I though it was because the software that handles the LCD but I made a test without it and it was the same. I also thought that was because the spin drives, but when I did the test I made it without the disks as well, therefore I excluded both cases. I see other tutorials recommending you install "smbclient" and "cifs-utils", is that necessary? Some of the tutorials also say to add user groups and to add settings to the firewall. When my python scripts starts, it will change GPIO3 to OUT and set it to 0, but I have only problem during boot.
