Hi, I own a NanoPi M4 and I am wondering how to get the USB OTG working. I would like to set up Ethernet via USB OTG on my NanoPi M4. The only reference I can find is with https://vjordan.info/log/fpga/nanopi-neo-usb-otg-with-armbian-mainline-4x-kernel.html and I want to know if the steps are similar for NanoPi M4.

My Helios has been running well for the most part stable for the past few weeks however last night i noticed when looking at my file systems in omv that my 14 GiB eMMC drive which houses my ambian install is at 13.13GiB and looks to be growing. Normally this sits around the 5 GiB. I have checked my docker install for anything suspicious but my plex docker is only taking up about 400mb. looking at my system logs i am getting a repeated this error which is new and might be related however i am not really sure what program is casing it. Hi guys, sorry if this question might sound stupid, but how do I open the M3 enclosure? There is no instruction in the manual, nor on the stationpc website. I just bought this little box and I am not sure if this has some screws or some other closing system. I can see the four rubber buffers on the bottom of the box, but I don't want to harm those without reason. Can anyone tell me how to disassemble the box? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to hear from other have a similar setup to what I'm thinking about. Does it perform well enough for what you're using it for? What are you using it for? I finally assembled my Helios 64 today. Went well, just took a while. I'm reading the Kobol Wiki page for installing the OS on the internal EMMC and am a bit confused. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I usually boot a SBC the first time from an SD card to do some testing. Then I'll use Armbian config to install the OS onto the EMMC when I am ready. The Kobol Wiki talks about first installing uboot from an SD card. Is that actually needed? Also, do I really need to set up a serial terminal session? I usually just SSH into the box (I know find the IP address via my DHCP server) and configure everything from there.

Only reason I wanted to access is to ensure I disable WiFi as I am only using Ethernet. 51. Hi there, is the RK3399 (OrangePi4) already supported by Armbian? The manufacturer claims support "Debian 9" but current Armbian is Debian Buster 10 - based. Anyone tried this board with success?

  52. i got below command in orangepi official databook, when i do like below, it can't start up(led flashes but nothing in display monitor). Not sure if the armbian supports the "dd" install?

  53. I have a Dev term a06 and have been having problems with the newer releases based on kernel 6.x. After booting one of these, the display does not have backlight or any text/image displayed. On the last 5.x it boots and works fine. I have not yet tried the HDMI output on the 6.x versions, need to get an adapter, but I'm guessing that the built in display is not discovered. The Dev term does not normally have a serial port, I'd need to solder up an adapter, or I would have looked at it to see if anything was happening. Any suggestions for a very basic Linux user to try? Especially something I can maybe edit after flashing (before first boot). I should be able t…

Hi all, I have an Armbian installed on Orange PI 4B. I am trying to connect a flight controller to Orange PI 4B by using UART port. This board has a 40 pin header. I went to armbian-config, and enabled the UART1 and UART 4 which are available from armbian-config. I plug the UART port (to Pin 8 and pin 10) on the 40 pin header. Is that port UART 4? I am not sure. It does not work. I tried the debug port, but the Orange PI does not start up if something is plugged in to the debug UART port. The PIN layout https://wiki.adopisoft.com/doku.php?id=4.0.0:gpio_numbering The layout of the board is…

  55. Hello, So is anyone aware of a way (like a text file)to populate with values etc to bypass the need to be interactive during first boot? Since this device is displayless and I hate to pop the case every time to hookup the console cable when setting up a half dozen devices. I imagine I could alter the first boot script, but was just wondering if there was another way. Thanks! Richard

  60. Hi ! I spent several hours looking for the solution, here and elsewhere, I didn't find. The Radxa wiki speaks about 2 SPI: 1 and 2 The device tree README speaks about 4 SPI: SPI 0 pins (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS): GPIO3_A5, GPIO3_A4, GPIO3_A6, GPIO3_A7 SPI 1 pins (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS): GPIO1_A7, GPIO1_B0, GPIO1_B1, GPIO1_B2 SPI 2 pins (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS): GPIO1_C0, GPIO1_B7, GPIO1_C1, GPIO1_C2 SPI 3 pins (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS): GPIO2_B2, GPIO2_B1, GPIO2_B3, GPIO2_B4 So, the correspondence seems to be: radxa SPI 1 <=> DT SPI 1 radxa SPI2 <=> DT SPI 3 With the latest kernel (5.10.12-rockchip64, Deb…

  63. I not see in Helios64 assembling guide, how should be set coolers. Where should be directed airflow? Inside or outside the case?

  64. Started by BacchusIX,

If anyone in the US is looking for a Helios64 but don't want to wait for the next batch, I'm prolly selling mine. I ended up using an older windows desktop to build a server; took all of an hour to set up. I wanted to use this because it uses a lot less power and I wanted the computer for another project, but I don't have the time to screw with it trying to get it to actually function. If no one wants it, I'm just going to strip the case down as a HDD enclosure and cut my losses.

  65. Is there a reason this is turned off? From linux-rockchip64-current.config: # # CD-ROM/DVD Filesystems # # CONFIG_ISO9660_FS is not set # CONFIG_UDF_FS is not set # end of CD-ROM/DVD Filesystems Whereas most other configs have this enabled as modules. For example, in linux-sunxi64-current.config: # # CD-ROM/DVD Filesystems # CONFIG_ISO9660_FS=m CONFIG_JOLIET=y # CONFIG_ZISOFS is not set CONFIG_UDF_FS=m # end of CD-ROM/DVD Filesystems

I haven't been able to find any specs on the eMMC module in the helios64. I've found some posts online indicating that it is a samsung KLMAG1JETD-B041, but I haven't been able to find any info on the write endurance of this module (not sure if it is standard for eMMC vendors to provide that information like SSD vendors). I have been able to run `mmc extcsd read /dev/mmcblk1`, which shows that the emmc life time estimation is between 0 and 10%, but since this value is in 10% increments, its not very helpful. I've had issues with the default ramlog-based /var/log, so I had to turn it off. I've increased the size to 250MB but it regularly fills up b…

Sold on Reddit. Hello, looking at selling my Helios64. Mostly looking at getting a price check (what's the device still worth) and gauging interest. Device is in pristine condition, standard fans were swapped for Noctua NF-A8. (standard fans will be included) I'd prefer to keep this EU only as shipping is going to be a pain.

Hi there, https://www.armbian.com/rockpi4/ I see there are specific builds for versions. Version A, the link does not contain an image. Does the general image work on all versions? or the link is simply broken? Kind regards

  100. Looks like its available from youyeetoo - https://youyeetoo.com/products/asus-tinker-board-2s-rockchip-rk3399-an-arm-based-single-board-computer-sbc-support-android-10-ubuntu-tinkerboard-2s-tinker2s-1 They have it on Amazon as well. PRICEY but it's there! Has anyone from Armbian got a sample of this? Is Armbian going there? I ordered on off Amazon, will be here in a couple weeks. Perhaps EU gets it faster? Perhaps there are other sellers, I could only find this one. Actually I found it by accident on Amazon and went looking. I'm sure I didn't do an exhaustive search.
