Hi, I'm using 4.19.57-sunxi64 on a NanoPi NEO Plus2 and I'm wondering if there's a way to change some USB configurations just like I'd do with the cmdline.txt file on a RPi? I want to do some testing with USB over IP and for that I'd like to tweak the usb modules for better performance, liability. My armbianEnv.txt is as follows: Thanks in advance!

Hello all, I used using opi one with (Armbian_5.90_Ubuntu_bionic_4.19.57) image. and used the uart0 pins for hardware pwm but the output was around 330mv pwm not 3.3v as i want. my initial thoughts was either the uart0 isn't disabled or there are no pull ups activated, although i tryed using this: https://github.com/iboguslavsky/pwm-sunxi-opi0 Remap pins in FEX: ; Disable debug UART0 [uart_para] uart_debug_port = 0 uart_debug_tx = port:PA04<2><1> uart_debug_rx = port:PA05<2><1> ; Enable PWM0 on PA05 [pwm0_para] pwm_used = 1 pwm_positive = port:PA05<3><0> bu…

I'm willing to dusto off my H3-based Orange PI+ 2, because of all the great work that has being done recently on kernel 4.20, 5.0, 5.1 etc to support both H3 and Mali 400/450. However, for some reason, it seems that my board (even though it's officially supported) hasn't been updated past 4.19 kernel, so all the cool things are missing. On the other hand there are some WIP/no-yet-supported Orange Pi boards that DO support 5.1 kernel, so I'm a little bit confused. Is there any roadmap for newer kernels on H3 boards?

Hi, I would like to use wiringPi for my NanoPi Neo Air, but after installing wiring P, I only get unable to determine board revision as output from gpio readall. I tried this approaches already: Could someone please explain me how to build wiring P for NanoPi Neo Air so that it is working? On NanoPi Neo Plus 2, I did not have to change anything when installing wiringNP under Armbian.

Here is uploaded image showing problem with text overlapping. I googled without success, so if anyone could suggest how to try fixing it. Chromium version is 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu, running on Ubuntu 16.04 (32-bit) on Orange Pi Lite. It is not big deal, but if there is easy fix why not to try.

Is there a way around this like possibly inserting the armbian formated sd card into a linux system and changing config files?? If not, how can i attach a usb port to it?? Thanks.

I apologize for asking such a basic question. I have recompiled the wifi module on an Orange Pi PC+ to operate in concurrent mode so it can act in both station and AP mode at the same time, allowing it to be a wifi repeater. The problem is, this feature is lost on every kernel upgrade, requiring me to recompile the module each time I upgrade the kernel. The kernel module driver often changes slightly between kernel versions, and I have to track down and fix new bugs in the source code that prevent it from compiling when concurrent mode is enabled. I'm happy with how the wifi module performs now, but don't want to lose the ability to get needed kernel updat…

Hardware setup :: Olimex Lime 2 Rev.k + 7" LCD + 5V power supply through the power jack. No battery is connected to the lime 2 board. Problem :: when the board boots up, the xfce power manager shows that the Battery is connected and it's in charging mode. The current charge value of the battery changes randomly like 92%, 56% and etc. When it reaches 0% the board will shut down. It completes the shut down procedure. The following is the terminal output, to find the battery status. Even though the battery is not connected you can observe that it returns the Voltage and reports that the battery is present root@olinuxino:~# cat /sys/class/power_sup…

I wanna start out and say I have been using Armbian for a year and it's been great. Thank you. I have built many images over the year and have only noticed the issue recently. I have noticed in the bionic builds for OpiZ+ that some base level packages are missing. The one I noticed was netplan. This is the new standard for bionic. I have not compiled a complete list of missing packages at this time. I had built this image before around 5.0-5.1 kernel release without issue. Netplan was included. Current build at 5.3 RC does not include this package. I suspect that others may be removed. Are these packages missing intentionall…

I'm using flir's usb 3.1 camera with OrangiPi 3. default value for usbfs_memory (/sys/module/usbcore/parameters/usbfs_memory_mb) is 16. I should change it to a 1000 to be able to use full size image acquiring. testing this number, the higher I set it the higher image size I can get until 256mb. above 256, max image size is aprox 3200x2736 pixels (I need 5472x3648). so I guess somewhere in usbcore / kernel there is additional limit. I'm trying to add concurrent mode to the wifi driver on an Orange Pi PC Plus running the latest stable distribution of Armbian, but running into an "invalid module format" error due to the kernel version not matching the source version I'm using to recompile the wifi driver. I installed both the source and header files from armbian-config. The kernel version is 4.19.59 according to uname -r. This apparently is the linux-image-next-sunxi image, according to `apt-cache search linux-image | grep 4.19.59`. However, the source for the next-sunxi branch in the repository is 4.19.57, not 4.19.59, as `apt-cache search linux-source | grep next-sunxi` gives: linu…

Hey Guys, i own a Lemaker Banana Pro device. The hardware itself is very fine, no issues with it, but the software support is pretty low. When i check internet, i see at least two images for it: Armbian Bionic - mainline based kernel 4.19.y Armbian Stretch- mainline based kernel 4.19.y I recognize that Armbian Stretch is based on Debian 9, which is the old Debian Version at all, so i am not willing to install it. But i wonder how it is with Bionic? Is Armbian Bionic based on Ubuntu Bionic Beaver? Is it that what i means? How long will the support run for this Bionic image? For me it doesnt matter if i install debian or ubuntu …

Yesterday my 14" Pinebook arrived so I thought I'll collect some already available information. A lot of work still has to be done to get a decent laptop experience with this hardware so this is neither a review nor a stupid Un-Review but just a preview instead. To get the idea about dimensions I added a 13" and a 15" laptop to the picture. Pinebook is wedge-shaped and thickness matches both the 2011 15" MacBook Pro and the 13" from 2015: Display size closely matches the 13" MacBook Pro (but of course pixel density / resolution don't match as well as quality: TN vs. IPS and coating -- it should be obvious if you've the 'you get what you…

Hi, seems after some system updates SNMP stop reporting data about storage (size/used). It happen on 2x Orange PI One and on one Orange PI PC2. Actually in monitor what I use for SNMP monitoring I see last valid data was there at 05/09. I think at this time I update all boards and as I remmember there was also some update for snmpd. Can anyone confirm this problem ? And when we talk about SNMP, what is best way to change default logging level for SNMP ? Seems changing in /etc/default/snmpd doesnt have effect and after last update I must again edit files in /lib/systemd to stop that annoying flood in log from SNMP. OPI PC2 - 4.…

I am using Olimex Lime 2 Emmc Rev.k for a project. One of the Boards shuts down randomly. Its not a freeze or a sudden power down of the board. The board undergoes a complete shut down procedure. I checked the log entries in /var/log/syslog log file. There is a entry of board going to shut down but I couldn't find the reason for shut down. Is there a way to find out if the board got shut down because of the Power-button press, shutdown command from a SSH client, shutdown because of temperature or shutdown because of under voltage ? Is there a log file i can check to find the reason for shutdown?

Hi, I bought a 3.5 inch RPi LCD display from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32965280840.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2a474c4dxALiQy I connected the display straight to my Orange Pi zero board. The slot on the Orange Pi Zero is flipped compared to RPi so the LCD display goes outside the board. I guess that is the right way to connect. Anyway, when I power on the board I can see illuminated screen. The problem is that everything I have tried to configure the LCD was unsuccessful. Hello everyone, I know this is a well known problem of the OPi Zero, but in regarding to "solutions": h3consumption works only with the legacy kernel because of the use of Fex Is there a way to tweak the things h3consumption did in the mainline version? In the mainline version from armbian-config it is possible to disable USB, in /etc/default/cpufrequtils it is also possible to set the maximum frequency and wifi can be disabled. Does anyone know any option for disabling the GPU, limit the DRAM clockspeed and the maximum active cores? Is the only possibility to recompile the kernel, at the moment? Unfortunately the main tu…

Dear all, My small server based on the Cubietruck board and Armbian OS (ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.14.18-sunxi) runs flawlessly since over 2.5 years now. And I am very happy with this setup. Lately, I installed a battery (5.3 Ah 3.7 V) in order to have the server a bit portable. The battery. driven system runs approx 9 - 10 h. Since I want to prevent that the battery drains out completely I configured the following cronjob: */15 * * * * /home/ncuser/nc_batt_cap_shutdown.sh > /dev/null 2>&1 The content of the script looks as follows: #!/bin/bash ### Script idea taken from: # http://www.schulz-alex.de…

Hi everyone, I am using nmtui to setup static ip both eth0 and wlan0 on orange pi zero. It works fine if only one of them was activated I want to use both. If LAN cable was be connected into pi, the board is run on ethernet. On other side, run on wifi when the cable was pluged out When I rebooted the pi without LAN cable, the eth0 auto activated lead to I can't access the module via wifi even though it is connected successful. I must connect via serial and disable eth0 after that I connected via wifi.

Hi, i have a problem with my two Orange Pi Zero´s The Orange Pi Zero´s are installed with the latest Armbian_5.59_Orangepizero_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113 Both Opis are only connected to 5V2A over the microUSB Port and the LAN Port (not WLAN) and use a recommended Sandisk 16GB microSD Card. Both Pi´s are not reachable over SSH maybe 15 Minutes after boot. Direct after the boot SSH is working. Other Services like ping and the installed snmp deamon are working pretty well. Only SSH access stops working after maybe 15 Minutes. There is nothing connected to the OPIS. Is there a known problem with SSH deamon? Greets and thx for help …

How can I make the pins of this damned board work like the ones from a Raspberry Pi ? How does one define a pin ? What does defining a pin means ? Because the pins look dead to me. How do I make them start ? How do I make them to output something... anything ? I am a total and complete noob and I have no idea of the kernel voodoo that has to be done. Hello everyone, I am encountering problem with pulseaudio on Bananapi M1. I don't want the board to suspend speakers on idle. As Pulseaudio is used I simply commented this line: ``` ### Automatically suspend sinks/sources that become idle for too long #load-module module-suspend-on-idle `` in `/etc/pulse/default.pa`. The problem is that if I play something e.g. raspotify I dont hear the sound anymore. As soon I keep raspotify playing and restart Pulseaudio (killall pulseaudio) the sound is back again. If I pause music I lose sound again and need to kill pulseaudio. Does anybody encounter same thing?

Hello, Is there any conclusion how to het wifi to work on OPi zero? I am on buster. After some period (like 5-20 mins) it drop all connections and become unresponsive (you can't even ping) for some time, and then work again. For short time again. What is really strange, as some point I was able to ping some external hosts from OPi (from session over serial) and at the same time, I could not ping OPi from my laptop. Hi! Just saw a new board from FriendlyARM - NanoPi R1 (https://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=69&product_id=248). It based on Allwinner H3, has dual Ethernet port, wi-fi and Bluetooth, USB, and onboard eMMC. Memory options are 512MB or 1GB. It comes in a case, just add power supply. Looks quite fun SBC for IoT and for micro router. I was unable to find Armbian images for this board. Could you please comment if is it possible to use images for other Allwinner H3 boards? Do you have any plans to support this board? Thank you in advance for your comments!

The essence of the problem is this. I work with Orange PC Plus microcomputers. I used to use the Armbian_5.25_Orangepipcplus_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113 distribution And so the device address was HW Address: fa: 20: 6d: b5: 65: bd But when installing new distros Armbian MAC becomes different. HW Address: 12: 81: ab: 1a: 39: 92 Permanennt HW Address: 12: 81: ab: 1a: 39: 92 I really need the MAC to be like before. And it did not change when reinstalling the OS. How to do it?
