    Hello. I need to set a low level on a gpio pin PA6 on boot. I'm trying to do this through the device tree: /dts-v1/; /plugin/; / { compatible = "allwinner,sun8i-h3"; fragment@0 { target = <&pio>; __overlay__ { pinctrl-0 = <&pull_pins>; pull_pins:pull_pins { pins = "PA6"; function = "gpio_out"; bias-disable; output-low; }; }; }; }; I need to set PA6 to low. After boot, I see my overlay in device tree, but the level on the PA6 is still high. I can easily control the level through libgpiod (gpioset gpiochip0 6=1 or gpioset gpiochip0 6=0), it works. But I ca…

  6. Hello everyone, I am using Orange Pi Zero LTS 512MB (H3 Cpu) hardware. As an image; I am using "Armbian 22.08 Jammy Kernel 5.15.y, Updated: Sep 24,202". The MAC address changes every time the Wi-Fi is turned on. I tried several different images. I tried a few simple fixes posted on the forums, but only managed to fix it for ethernet. But it was not successful for Wi-Fi. I need an image or solution that does not change the MAC address. Is there anyone who can help with this?

  7. I am getting significant graphical issues with most programs on the "Jammy Gnome desktop" version. I also saw similar issues under KDE desktop after clicking a button relating to OpenGL in the graphics settings (and couldn't figure out how to get that dialog back or undo the setting). I would prefer to stick with Gnome, I assume this issue has something to do with hardware/graphics acceleration having an issue, the application launcher seems to be immune from the issue. Sorry, I am quite a noob when it comes to Linux/programming related stuff, I couldn't find any other mentions about similar issues in this forum. The issue happens on both this 5" LCD and an HDMI TV at 4k.

  9. Hello, I am using the Armbian 22.08.2 Jammy with Linux 5.15.69-sunxi. When I issue "aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav" or "speaker-test -t wav" playback misses a few seconds from the beginning of the audio file. If I restart it immediately, I can hear the file playing correctly. Then I wait for a while, run it and the problem reappears. I read on this forum that people have had the same problem for years without finding a solution. Is there a solution or does anyone wise know what the problem is?

Hello fellow Armbianers! I'm using Orange Pi zero. My only complaint is the 30s boot time. Looking at the log files, seems like it only takes 5 seconds to boot once the kernel is loaded. The majority of this 30s is spent in uboot somewhere? Does anyone know how to speed up this boot process? I'm always just booting from SD card, don't need USB boot/network boot, console, or any of that. Thanks!

Hi there, OK, here's the picture: brand new Orange PI 3 LTS, made SD card with Armbian 22.08 sid - didn't boot; made SD card with Armbian 22.05 Jammy - still the same result. Because after removing the SD card, I was able to get the same result with just plugging in the power (it boots from eMMC...?). As far as I remember, I didn't see any similar behavior described in the documentation. …

Hi all, I recently bought a Banana BPI M2 Zero for a personal human-machine interaction project as this was the only (cheap) available option w.r.t. my specs (HDMI, entry-level OpenGL GPU, enough CPU power for the task). I got a version with Allwinner H3 (which in my view is good) and also read through the H3 buyer's guide. According to that guide, the CPU should be sourced by 1.3V, but to my (positive) surprise, I measured only 1.15V at the output coil (after the coil and against GND, of course) of the SY8113 regulator. However, there's certainly something not working as expected from the schematics: both, the SY8113 and the SY8089 1.2V regulators (SYSTEM+CPU…

I started with Banana PI M2 Zero and armbian because of current unavailibility of Raspberry PI which is needed for some of my DIY pinball projects https://lisy.dev/ With a 5.15.48 Kernel Image I noted that the internal ethernet of M2 Zero is set to disabled, where with a 5.10.60 Kernel from the archive it works. 29. Good day, for my Orangepi PC+ I installed Armbian Ubuntu Jammy on a µSD card. Up until Armbian Ubuntu Strech I was able to use a PCM510A for sound output. The settings for this were easy. 51. Hello. I have a problem with Orange Pi Zero LTS. I also have an expansion board and the required 3.5-jack cable. I have read many different forums and sites where people have described problems with video signal output. Often there are solutions such as: 1. Editing the file /boot/script.bin But this file does not exist. 2. They also talk about the launch of "tv". You need to add an entry to /etc/modules. But that doesn't work either, since ./tvout doesn't exist. As I understand it, in new versions there is no TV support, but there is no way to download old versions either. The latest version that can be downloaded is 5.59,…

How do I enable the cgroup memory controller on Armbian? I’m trying to control memory usage on my orange pi one using systemd with a unit file as follows: [Service] Slice=influxGroup.slice MemoryAccounting=true MemoryHigh=100M MemorySwapMax=250M The command systemd-cgls confirms that the influxGroup.slice has been created, yet memory is not controlled in line with the parameters in the unit file. I think the issue may be that cgroup memory controller is not enabled. I haven’t done anything to enable it, but I did notice that dmesg appears to indicate an enable statement in the kernel parameters: [ 0.000000] Kernel…

Currently it is performing as Full-Speed (12.5 MegaBytes/second) usb port. Hi everyone! Follow instructuions https://linux-sunxi.org/Sunxi-Cedrus to setup hw decoding everyone need kernel with flags: CONFIG_MEDIA_SUPPORT CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER CONFIG_MEDIA_CONTROLLER_REQUEST_API CONFIG_V4L_MEM2MEM_DRIVERS CONFIG_VIDEO_SUNXI_CEDRUS Images from armbian repo is without one of them - CONFIG_V4L_MEM2MEM_DRIVERS So my proposal is to make kernel for desktop prebuilds with this flag, if its possible ofcourse. Im understand that is opensourse project, so my help can be like that - i have really much space on Y.Drive and i can share folder to minimize download usage of armbian repo.

I tried several of the available kernel images. I'm sure that the wpa2 password is correct because I control the router and other devices connect all the time. If i plug in an ath9x usb wifi dongle, that is able to connect, so it would appear to be an issue with the onboard rtl8723bs driver.

  89. I'm using a NanoPi Neo as Homegear gateway. This requires the SPI interface (/dev/spidev0.0). Yesterday I ran apt-get upgrade, which bumped my kernel from 5.10.60 to 5.15.25. No other changes have been done, Since then no SPI devices are created anymore and the gateway fails! I tried to downgrade the kernel already using armbian-config to 21.08 5.10.60-sunxi. But that reported an error (do not remember the text; was very late) and left the Nano unbootable. I could restore the 5.15.25 kernel by manually editing the zImage symbolic link in /boot.
