Hello, I have an orange Pi5, i had installed armbian a few years ago and everything was working fine. Roughly one year ago i turn it off and kept off until now. A few days ago I tried to turn it on again and i've inserted a new sd card containing armbian but it doesn't boot. I've re created the sd card a few times and also used another sd card because i was thinking something was wrong with the card. The board turn on but i got only the red led, and is stable. Searching on internet i found that maybe the Orange Pi is bricked, so i tried to use the MaskRom and Recovery button, but nothing happen. Also i'm not able to see the board inside the RKDevTool, neithe…

Tried mpv, vlc, kodi and others. Problem affect just h264 1080p remuxes, that typically are 30..40 Gb, smaller h264 or even larger h265 files seem to work fine. I tried fresh install of armbian, where no rkmpp is installed, then h264 files plays/seeks fine, in software mode of course. Once I did sudo update/upgrade, that also installs rkmpp and other rockchip stuff, then videos start to play with rkmpp and problem is back. I've tried disabling hw deco…

When plugging in the pi with my official 5v 4a usbc charger, the adapter lights up for awhile. I'm not sure if it needs to stay on. I then check fdisk -l and nothing new appears. 15. Yeah so just like the title says, has anyone got a tip for a USB Bluetooth dongle that works with the mainline kernel? I got a UGREEN Bluetooth 5.0 dongle a while ago and have just tried again, installing firmware for it. It does get detected as a USB device and the firmware loads. But bluetoothctl never finds it. Gnome doesn't let me 'enable' bluetooth. I'd like to avoid buying a string of these so was just wondering if any are working with mainline? Cheers!

For orange pi, i am facing this problem with different Operating systems as well apart from armbian. I've used Ubuntu, Orange Pi OS, Armbian. All have got this problem. The code I have attached. Since the issue is faced in multiple Operating System I strongly feel this has to do with the driver level softwares or directly related optimization from Rockchip. Can anyone guide what I could do audio-loop.cpp

I'm using ffmpeg and Kodi from the @amazingfate ppa. All has been running great although I don't think that I'm using hardware acceleration. I'm still on an older Jammy with the old/legacy kernel. I've tried newer kernels but getting issues so I stuck with the older kernel. I've started noticing lately that videos are being encoded with pixel format yuv420p10le. In Kodi, I was getting black screens while the audio was playing. I was following up on the Kodi forums, and was told that Kodi needed to be compiled for OpenGL instead of OpenGLES to make the video render properly. Standard install - Armbian Bookworm, full 'firmware install'. I am getting some packet loss over the LAN. A raspberry pi, Synology NAS and Deban x86 install on the same LAN do not seem to exhibit the same loss. Anyone have experience or ideas? Oddly enough this never seems to occur on fresh installs. This is a docker host for pihole and home assistance, no other packages are really installed at all. I've not really tried much, but since this is a standard install, apt-get update & upgrade are about the only modifications outside of docker install that has occurred. 1. 23. Hello, I cloned the master branch of WiringOP one month ago, it reported same version 2.46 and it was working except for the option to activate internal pull up/down. Trying it in C code using: pullUpDnControl(n, PUD_DOWN); or by terminal with: gpio mode 1 down same behavior, nothing happen.. by default, unfortunately in my case, it seem active a pull up resistor for all inputs. I searched on the web and found there was a bug, fixed. I checked again the main branch and in effect it is different now, the new code is: *(gpio + GPPUD) = pud & 3 ; delayMicroseconds (5) ; *(gpio + gpioToPUDCLK [pin]) = 1 <&…

  24. Hello, I am running Armbian 23.05 "minimal" (with the provided kernel 5.10.110) on my OrangePI 5 4GB. Upgraded all packets to latest. When trying to run GeekBench 5.5.1 ARM Preview, it reboots when approaching the end of multicore tests, with "performance" governor and default speed range (0.4 - 2.4 GHz for A76). Same goes if I drop the max clock speed to 2.2 for A76. After dropping to 2.0 GHz max, it runs fine; but this hurts performances quite a bit. I tried various power sources, including a bench PSU which can reliably supply up to 30A (but I only see a few spikes over 2A). The board has a large heatsink installed wit…

  32. Hello everyone, I use my Orange Pi 5 board to run Open Media Vault with Wireguard installed. But there is a known issue with Wireguard that, when installing it, you have to manually reinstall the correct kernel into the board again, otherwise it won't be able to boot. However, ever since it has been installed, during apt update / apt ugrade of my board, it keeps recognizing the wrong kernel to be updated and changing the symlinks inside the /boot/ folder, rendering the board unbootable. If I see this happening, I can change the symlinks and it works normally after that. However, sometimes the symlinks changes unnoticed and I cannot boot anymore. I…

Hello, I have a problem with mounting a USB HD via fstab. If I enter the HD in the fstab, the system hangs when booting. The problem, USB is not activated yet and will be loaded later. If I remove the HD from fstab, it is automatically mounted under /run/media/USER. However, this must not be mounted under a user, but should be mounted as root. What can I do. Thanks very much

  54. I installed U-Boot in the Orange Pi 5's SPI memory, connected via UART via the CH340G adapter (the power switch is lost). The speed is 1500,000 baud, 8n1. Connected TX-RX, RX-TX, GND-GND. After starting the board, I see the logs, but I can't enter anything at all. When I change the power supply, the input works, but it enters incomprehensible characters instead of the usual ones. When installing the EDK2-RK3588, there was no such problem on the same power supply and adapter. How can I fix the UART input?

The rough path I followed: - recompiled the kernel in order to have "Linux tv" as a module (CCONFIG_DVB_CORE=m). This will be replaced by the tbs driver in next steps. - installed TVheadend from the armbian-config - compiled tbs drivers by following standards instructions....but: - had to add a CFGLAGS += -w to avoid some warning stopping the build (Makefile in the v4l directory) - had to disable the creation of the mc.ko (MEDIA_CONTROL) to avoid conflict with kernel built-in module (n…
