Hi Igor. I think I found another inadvertenttant bug in the build since the desktop was unseparated out. The new build is calling chromium instead of chromium-browser, and it's breaking. It brings up a brief pink screen. When you call it from a window it calls this image below. Otherwise it is installing desktop on the H3 just fine.

Hi, I have a Pine 64. Latest stable kernel works fine, but after update to kernel > 5.0 I don't have network. dmesg shows the next lines: Could not attach to PHY stamac_open: Cannot attach to PHY (error -19) Tried a 100 mbit switch, even that isn't a solution. Strange thing is it has worked once a month ago. Power for the board is supplied by the Euler bus. Update: update to the latest kernel (5.1.3) and now I see in in dmesg: Unsupported interface mode: rgmii-txid. Tried this solution: but it doesn't work. Thanks, Rene

  7. Hello everyone, my wife has transitioned my family to google calendars and in an effort to keep myself up to date I built a Magic Mirror using an OP PC+. It worked beautifully in testing in standard video layout but to effectively use the screen I have mounted it rotated in a frame and this is where my problems began. Upon rotating the image in XFCE either 90 or 270 degrees video performance drops to single digit FPS. No increase in CPU utilisation so i cannot understand what the issue is. I have done a bit of googling and there is litle information and no apparent solution available. has anyone else suffered with this? …

All of the docs that I see on how to use the kernel gpio_keys refers to dts (device tree). The kernel module is present in Armbian legacy 5.20 Jessie Desktop. /lib/modules/3.4.112...../gpio_keys.ko I understand it should map gpio inputs to keystrokes. But all usage/configuration info I can find refers to entries made in Device Tree -- gpio-keys { compatible = "gpio-keys"; left-key { label = "Left key"; gpios = <&gpio0 17 0>; linux, code = <69>; /* KEY_LEFT */ }; } This refers to some other underlying hardware, but it is an example... So my question... I don't believe Armbian legacy…

So I tested Kodi playing different demanding video files (H256), and it works smoothly, without crashing at all. So far the most stable media center option. But yes, we have no ethernet. So I was wondering how could we load the basics drivers from the Xulong image, into the PineH6 one. So I browsed for hours (because Im not at all familiar with this android weird partitions system, and with the OS itself). First I realized both Pine H6 and OPiOnePlus use the same ethernet controller (the realtek 8211). Then I went for the schematics, to actually check if the realtek chip was connected to the H6 the same way on both boards. Which it seems to be for…

  14. Hello forumees. I am running as root on an OrangePI Zero+ which uses a H2 processor running a CL version of arrmbian 3.4.113 which works fine. I tracked down drivers for it but the Linux version must be compiled to a module which I have managed (with a number of warnings) after a couple of hiccups. This caused a lot of my shortcut names and file names to become a large amount of gibberish, so I uninstalled and switched back to lightdm. I still do not have a lot of my icons: and now armbian-config does not open through the shortcut: I can still open it with the terminal but this makes me think there are bigger issues.

The sshd itself runs, if I try to login (with pubkey auth) I can see that the connection to the sshd is successfully established, but when the shell should be started it hangs forever: debug1: kex: server->client aes128-ctr hmac-sha2-256 none debug1: kex:…

Does windoze need to act as DHCP server? If so, will it clobber the wifi? Conversely, if I set the Pi as DHCP server for strategic reasons, will it clobber Windoze wifi connection? Thanks so much Joe

Hi all, In armbian-config I have freeze on firmware. I can see that armbian-firmware-full is kept back. Still my kernel got updated. Kind of an issue as I use zfs (backports) on my omv install and I need to reinstall them to get the module recreated... Now I have a few questions: Is it because I have only armbian-firmware-full held back, and apt works in my case maybe with armbian-firmware? (Or do I misinterpret the list that says upgradable on the full) Or do I have to hold the specific versioned packages and will the armbian-firmware (meta?) package hold not work on the ones I have installed and get upgraded nonetheless? 59. Hi! I just flashed Armbian 24.11.1 Bookworm Minimal / IOT onto my Odroid HC1 SD-Card. The download page states: "For HC1 and HC2 we provide specially optimized config which has to be applied manually. This results in shorter boot time and lower consumption. Edit /boot/armbianEnv.txt and add: board_name=xu4 # or xu3, xu3, hc1" However there is no /boot/armbianEnv.txt. Should I just run the system as is or do I have to modify something to have it run optimally? Should I just create the file and add line? Thx! Björn

Obviously I could copy the image to an sd card and run it that way, but the system is running so well (on external hard drive and running plex server) that I'm reluctant to upset it all. Many thanks

As far as I can tell, aside from some minor performance improvements here and there, the Odroid C4's SoC layout is very comparable to what the Potato boards have. 90. Hello! This thread here: https://forum.armbian.com/topic/3728-varlog-varloghdd/ triggered the question in me how I could extend the log2ram. My problem is the following: I have installed syncthing. The default in armbian runs it as root - which is not recommended for syncthing, see here: https://forum.syncthing.net/t/running-syncthing-as-root/6316! So I downgraded the syncthing daemon to a standard user account "syncthing". In order to enable a non-root user to write logfiles it's common practice to create a subdir /var/log/syncthing/ and give it write rights for syncthing. This works, however my logfiles stay completely empty! Never…
