  1. I used to come here some time ago and the first i always visited was the overview of supported boards. It included a photo of the board and the supported and unsupported features. Now i surfed and searched for almost an hour and can't find this or a similar page anymore. Where is that page gone? And i thought i was smart to first check out what boards are well supported before buying one. I saw this new Orange Pi "Orange Pi Zero 2W 4GB RAM + Expansion Board Development Board Allwinner H618 WiFi-BT Orange Pi Zero 2 W Single Board Computer" featuring two USB-C ports. Does anybody know whether that supports Armbian and OTG for a UVC camera and a USB-C Power supply? I do not …

  2. I'm using Armbian bullseye on an Odroid HC2 with 2 GB of RAM with OpenMediaVault. Its memory usage used to be around 10% before starting any docker services, and a cool 50-60% while running things like Nextcloud, Vaultwarden etc. It used to jump to around 80% when some headless Chromium processes ran intermittently, but overall, it's been quite stable. I don't recall to make any significant changes to the system, yet suddenly the baseline memory usage jumped to around 50%, making my system extremely slow and unstable, with service and system restarts now occuring several times a day. I couldn't extract any useful clue about what's using all that RAM, with `sys…

  17. Hi all, I have a working Pinebook Pro Focal build with LUKS encryption enabled. The only issue I have is that when booting no progress or password prompt is displayed. As soon as I enter the password and hit enter I see the boot logo or console output depending on what is set in armbianEnv.txt. I will be continuing my research and learning about the boot process in general but wanted to check in here to see if people had any obvious pointers to share or whether maybe this is a known limitation that is going to be hard to resolve. Thanks, Matt

  18. Hello. I have been struggling with creating a local build environment that will be guaranteed to work today, next month, next year etc. My hardware is Radxa-Zero and I want to run kernel 6.1.23. Currently I find that the build environment, in various ways, breaks the build over time. I've been chasing a stable build for kernels 6.1.23, 57, 58, 59. The build environment, by default, grabs the latest 6.1.y kernel, which is no good for me. I use this SD card with Cubieboard-3 (Cubietruck). And I have a backup of the entire root filesystem from that SD card. Now I've got second Cubieboard-3 device and I need a second SD card to boot the second device into the same OS with actual changes. 31. Hi all, This used to work absolutely fine for me a couple of years ago but for some reason it isn't working at all now. I had to format the eMMC and re-flash it. Using either Bookworm or Jammy, when I try to run the script for boot from eMMC / system on NVME after the reboot it won't boot again. I've tried on both, tried before / after apt-update etc. Just doesn't seem to want to work when it used to in the past. This is what I'm seeing, apologies for phone photos, as I was in my living room, no way to take a screenshot. Any ideas? Thank you!

  33. Hi all, Using Armbian Focal for a couple of years now and booting from an SSD plugged to USB (used the armbian installer to move to it) and it always worked perfectly but after an apt-update (stupid of me I know) I'm now stuck on a boot loop, it looks like the entire system is fubar'd. I don't mind formatting and reinstalling everything, the problem is that I lost the eMMC to USB converter I had and can't find any in the UK... Attached an image of what I'm seeing. Anything I can do to either salvage or do a fresh new install without the eMMC converter? Can be removed. Did a full format.

  35. I have owned numerous Raspberry Pi boards over the years, and I have always have ran Kodi on one of them. For years I have been wanting to upgrade my RPi 3 as it cannot play any of my H.265/HEVC videos. With all the shortages, and how old the Raspberry Pi 4 is getting, I made a rather spontaneous purchase for this Orange Pi 4 LTS board. Getting it all setup is easy enough, but of course, the video (even with H.264!) nearly maxes all 6 cores and the video is chunky as it's just doing everything without any video acceleration. Even navigating the menu seems slow and delayed. I have been scouring these forums and other sources for about 12 hours now, and I am sti…

  36. Hello. I am wondering if anyone here has Xenomai working for Amlogic platforms? I'm particularly interested in applying Xenomai to Le Potato/Sweat Potato. According to them, Xenomai is current and working for the Amlogic S905X3 (Odroid C4), though I have failed to find any source, patches, or images for that board. As far as I can tell, aside from some minor performance improvements here and there, the Odroid C4's SoC layout is very comparable to what the Potato boards have. So I only expect minor changes, if anything, to go from that SoC to the Potato's SoC. Xenomai's own guide to porting the dovetail interface is pretty good; I'll do that if I have too. I…

Hi team! This may be the stupidest question ever… I am a long time Debian user. I have a project in mind where I plan to setup a dual node HA Haproxy balancer. This is pretty straightforward in Debian but I am wondering, is HAproxy even available for armbian?. I do not plan to have a big throughput for these HAproxy nodes, is for a homelab and more for fun than for production purposes… The idea is to use the cheapest dual gigabit board available, that’s why I will probably go for nanopi (which supports armbian). English is not my first language so sorry in advance for messed up wording/expressions/whatever. …

However, virtualbox fails to boot it in any format (qcow2, vmdk, vhd, vdi, etc). The grub menu comes up, but when trying to boot Linux then it just sits at a blinking cursor. I've tried converting this a variety of ways, such as using `qemu-img convert`, `vboxmanage convertfromraw` and `vboxmanage convertdd`. None of them yield an image that virtualbox will boot. Because I have updated to Armbian 22.02 with the linux 5.15.25 kernel and I am using the rk3328-nanopi-r2-rev00 device tree, I thought I should share what I have discovered. 1/ I had trouble setting up a one-wire device (ds18b20 temperature sensor). I think the w1-gpio pin assigned in the supplied overlay is messing up access of the SD card. I found some helpful information from this post: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php ... #pid100639 I copied the overlay code, modified it to use GPIO2_A2 (pin 7 on the 26pin header), compiled it and copied the new dtbo file to "/boot/overlay-user/" . Added the "user_overlays=rockchip-w…

  100. I am new to ARM based systems. I purchased a OPI5 plus. I also have an Aprotti 10 in USB/HDMI touchscreen and I am also trying to use a USB dongle for audio. I installed Armbian on an nvme. Display works fine, but aside from my keyboard and mouse nothing I plug into the USB 3.0 or USB-C ports are detected nor do they work. Powering my system is a Makerfocus UPS for RPIs conneccte to a 10000mah battery. The board is connected to the OPI5 plus and the second power port is connected to my touchscreen display.
