I am having trouble to understand a few things in the https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-5-pro/ It says: But downloding the image on that page brings Armbian_community_25.8.0-trunk.38_Orangepi5pro_bookworm_vendor_6.1.115_minimal.img.xz which is version 25.8.0 and that image wont boot.

But when I remove my SSD I can see the 5 HDDs ... So my question is stupid but it's "normal" ? I have a doubt, there is not a limitation with the GPT?

  6. Happy New Year for all, My old Samsung Monitor stopped working some days ago, and I dont know if it will be fixed, so I decided to buy a new LG 27'' Monitor. My Zorin OS and Windows on X64, Raspbian and Ubuntu On Raspberry PIs are working properly. But booting Armbian - Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble) on "Orange PI 5" and "Orange PI 5 Plus" My New monitor refuses to show any image (only black screen). 9. I just installed Armbian 5.88 for Rock Pi 4B and bluetooth is not working. I'm using ARMBIAN 5.88 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.4.180-rockchip64 Do you need further information? Got it working without compiling the new kernel. i manually ran the last steps of https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/config/sources/rockchip64.conf and copied rk3399-bluetooth.service and brcm_patchram_plus_rk3399 onto the device and set up the service... after a reboot Bluetooth is working fine. 10. Hi All, thanks for this great project, much appreciated! Could someone give me an educated guess whether there is a risk of damaging my board when the blue LED is flashing much faster (at least twice, probably more) than usual? I suspect something is changing the frequency or voltage and I'm not sure how much time I can take in this state to try to analyze the problem further. For now I unplug the power when it happens. I'm trying to netboot my Rock Pi 4B v1.4 with the current or dev branches of buster minimal nfsboot, with no local storage at all (just the SPI flash for u-boot). 12. I'm experiencing a lot of issues on 5.10.x and thought a dedicated thread would make sense. I've posted some reports in other threads too. Note that 5.9.x is much more stable for me, but not without problems. I'm also experiencing what I can only refer to as boot stalls, i.e. nothing happens. Occasionally when these stalls happen there is a rcu: INFO: rcu_preempt detected stalls on CPUs/tasks trace printed. This happens on both 5.9 and 5.10. Looking at where it stalls it seems to be around the time the hardware optimizations are applied and/or graphics modules are loaded. I have currently blocked the graphics modules from loading and have moved hardware optimi…

Would really appreciate someone working with me here! So I realized earlier this year that I was still on Buster and that there were two newer OSs that I could upgrade to. All FriendlyElec's official ones are from 8 partitions with: boot, rootfs, kernel, etc, this one has everything in one and I don't think it's good for a mini device that runs in blocks like any openwrt. Has anyone installed on the r5c? How, is there a clean way to recreate the partitions? (note on boot: I turned on with sd and mask calc, steady red light, and eth mail router doesn't see it either. 33. I have noticed that the NanoPi M4V2 has an OPP table which causes the device to overclock; the table is suitable for an RK3399K SoC, but the M4V2 has a standard RK3399 SoC with maximum speeds of 1.42GHz for the A53 cores and 1.80GHz for the A72 cores (despite FriendlyArm themselves citing the K speeds in marketing material, which is incorrect). I believe that this may also be causing stability issues with my unit, however I will be performing additional testing (I cannot find where it is getting the "extended" OPP tables from, so I am limiting it via cpufreq-set and testing for stability.) Does anyone have any insight or ideas?

  53. Hi community, I am experiencing an issue reinstalling Armbian on my Helios64. I tried all methods including booting from an SD card, flashing the image onto the eMMC directly but every time I boot, I get kernel panic (flashing status light). I also can't connect to the USB via TTY to diagnose the issue. My macbook keeps detecting the /dev/tty.usbserial-DT03OEIM and the next second it is gone. I wanted to install the original Buster image but I cannot find it anymore in any of the archives. It's kind of disappointing because what's the purpose of an archive then if not hold on to an image for a few years. My current theories…

Hello, i'm experiencing random reboots on my RockPi 4b. I firstly recognoized this when my Squid Proxy Server was not working anymore because it had no permissions to its var/log/squid directory. What i saw (lsblk) that /var/log/ is only of a size of 50mb. Will that be the cause for the reboots? Does the system crash when the logs are full? My System is a Rock Pi 4b with 32gb emmc storage. Debian Stretch with Armbian Linux 4.4.192-rockchip64 Armbian Release 5.90 (i dont know how to change to the next version as armbian-config does not provide the switch to next button) Output or Armbianmonitor -u http://ix.io/22oZ

We’d manage to set it up as per your documentation mentioned on your wiki page but are stuck on SD-Card to eMMC migration. As after migrating with no error so far we’re still unable to boot the system without the SD-Card in Helios64. We still couldn’t figure out what could be the problem? Can you guys help?

There was a configuration of the ITX-3588j board and other manufacturers on the same rk3588 platform and tried to build Armbian. I can manually set different fan speeds in /sys/devices/platform/pwm-fan/hwmon/hwmon2/pwm1 I have selected 'fanctrl' in armbian-config, but this does not reduce the default speed of the fan. I noticed that there are some recent patches published here and here, I assume these patches are there to deal with the fan control deficiency? Could these patches either a) be applied to the rock 5c dts file that comes with the armbian image or b) perhaps it is better to create a user defined ove…

  98. Hi all, I would like to ask support for the board EMB-3531. I'm having problem with booting this board from SD card. Here are some informations about this board. I hope that someone can help me with it. Thank you so much! I try to erase the emmc and flash the MiniLoaderAll.bin but it doesn't help. Or i don't have a correct image with armbian for this board. https://my.kos.org.cn:5154/rockchip/EMB3531/emb3531.pdf

  100. Hello All, I recently bought Orange Pi RK3399 and had some problems with it. At this moment I've solved most of them, but still no luck with such an old OS like Ubuntu Server 16.04 or Debian 9 which were provided by the manufacturer (images to flash). What I am thinking now is to move this board to Armbian. Will it work? How should I in this case organize the partitions on eMMC and where to load kernel and rootfs? I don't see this board in supported ones.
