  1. Hello. The BigTreeTech TFT35 SPI works well but has ghost touches. So it's unusable for control tasks like on a 3D printer. It gives random commands to the printer from time to time, which can be dangerous. There is a patch from BigTreeTech since 24-1-2024 https://github.com/bigtreetech/CB1-Kernel/commit/ab7b1fa6ddd7f15ecdc590d32a812589fa38d973 I cannot find it on https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/main/patch/kernel/archive/sunxi-6.6/patches.armbian/add-bigtreetech-cb1-dts.patch and I can confirm that I have this problem with Armbian 24.8.1 Bookworm. But not with BigTreeTech 2.3.4 image. Could someone add these patches to the armbi…

  2. So there is some weirdness happening with Armbian on the Orange Pi Zero 2 that I bought from Amazon. These are the V1.5 version of the hardware. With the Orange Pi image (which looks strangely like armbian), once the device is booted, the red led goes off, and the green led turns on. With the armbian image, the red light stays on, and the HDMI output does not turn on in the CLI image. This led me initially to think this board was not working. Once I hooked up a USB to Serial interface, I noticed it booted. Well, at least when the SD card was seated correctly, but that is a hardware problem. Once booted, `armbian-config` does not show the wif…

  3. How can I keep the LTS-kernel (4.14) with a terminal command? The lastest update/upgrade installs the kernel 4.17. How can I avoid this kernel-update? For my long term-project I need the LTS-kernel 4.14. Some time ago I updated by mainline-system (Ubuntu server kernel 4.13 to 4.14-kernel with the following command apt-get -y -qq --no-install-recommends install linux-image-next-sunxi64 linux-headers-next-sunxi64 linux-u-boot-pine64-next linux-xenial-root-next-pine64 linux-dtb-next-sunxi64 Thanks a lot.

  5. I'm running Armbian 20.08 Focal on a Pine64 with 2GB RAM. Mostly everything runs fine, but I do have a problem with getting audio out of the headphone plug. In pavucontrol I can see audio is playing (an internet stream) on Built-in Stereo, but nothing can be heard when connecting speakers. To be clear: I don't want audio out of HDMI, but just from the headphone plug. I have also played around with alsamixer and unmuted everything that was muted and turning up the volume, but still no audio to be heard... Has anybody gotten this to work?

  6. Hi, I've tried to change the default console from ttyS0 to ttyS3, using the mainline kernel but I don't get it to work. Modifying boot.cmd I managed to change the tty's baudrate like this: "if test "${console}" = "serial" || test "${console}" = "both"; then setenv consoleargs "${consoleargs} console=ttyS0,38400"; fi" after recompiling with "mkimage -C none -A arm -T script -d /boot/boot.cmd /boot/boot.scr" it gave me an 38400-baud-output begining with line "Loading, please wait...starting version 229" But changing the settings to use ttyS3 does not work at all: "if test "${console}" = "serial" || test "${conso…

  9. Hello, I'm using a Pine 64 LTS with the SoPine image Armbian 21.02.3 Bionic with Linux 5.4.88-sunxi64 I have made various changes and installations to this image, so I want/need to continue using this image. Unfortunately, with the new hardware of the Pine 64 LTS (Pine64 LTS-V2) network connection is no longer possible. (Note: With the current SoPine image there is a network connection). Is there any way to reinstall the current network drivers in my image? I would be very grateful for any help.

  11. Hi all, I’m trying to get KlipperScreen running directly on the framebuffer on a BigTreeTech CB1 that’s using an Allwinner H616B chip. It’s running Armbian Bookworm (kernel 6.6.66-vendor-sunxi64, Dec 2024 build) on a Manta M8P V2.0 board with a TFT35-SPI display that shows up as fb_st7796s. The goal is to have KlipperScreen render directly to /dev/fb0 without needing a desktop or HDMI. The framebuffer itself seems fine as the screen shows the BigTreeTech logo on boot, and I can write to it manually, so the driver appears to be working correctly. KlipperScreen installs fine, the Python environment and dependencies are all in place, but when I launch it, I always ge…

  12. HI, recently downloaded Armbian Jammy CLI for Orange Pi Zero 2 It boots up but doesn't display anything on HDMI. I have to access it via remote ssh on another computer. Any way to enable the HDMI. I was hoping to run a desktop on it. Reading different forums it's suggested that the default check is too short so HDMI is disabled but I've no idea how to disable this. Will there be a desktop version of Jammy for Orange pi Zero 2 available to download? I'm using Jammy with a desktop on a Orange Pi One and it works fine. Thanks

  53. I have OPIZ2 been running for months for node-red and MQTTbroker. Due to crappy configuration I did during the insallation, then I decided to replace the OS and reconfigure all, I used the same SDcard and reflash with same Armbian_23.5.2_Orangepizero_jammy_current_6.1.30. But, beyond this point, OPIZ2 never boots anymore... I tried other armbian version and it is the same dead. If I use a fresh SD card (Sandisk 16GB A1) then it works ok. My question is regarding the SD card imaging ( i am using Balena-etcher), is there something change inside the SDcard after reflash so that OPI does not recognise the booting part anymore??

  54. Hi everyone! I'm trying to build my own distribution for the Pine64, and I use armbian as a working reference. I'm able to compile ATF + U-boot + Kernel + rootfs and the board actually boots and I get a console over the serial interface and over HDMI. The problem is that GbE Ethernet does not work. It appears that the 8211 phy is not powered. The good guys on the pine64 IRC pointed to the ATF, where the DC1SW regulator should be turned on in order to power the phy. On armbian everything works just fine. I think I messed up something in the build - wrong version / config / dts in either ATF, U-boot or the linux kernel. …

  59. After a fresh armbian installation + armbian-firmware-full package, the pine64 bluetooth doesn't work because the rtl8723bs_config-pine64.bin file is missing. I've downloaded the file from https://github.com/anarsoul/rtl8723bt-firmware/tree/master/rtl_bt into /lib/firmware/rtl_bt and it works so I've created a PR here https://github.com/armbian/firmware/pull/14 to add it to the firmware package so it can work out of the box. Let me know if I need to do something else for the PR to be merged. Thanks.

The reason I need this specific version is to use the device as a USB UVC (Webcam) gadget via ConfigFS. On the newer 6.6/6.12 mainline kernels, I am facing a "Permission Denied" error when trying to write to hHeight, even as root. After researching, it seems this is a known kernel-level restriction in newer versions, and the legacy 5.10 kernel is the most stable for UVC gadget functionality.
