  1. Hello Armbian Community, I am currently running the following image on my Orange Pi 5 Max: Armbian_community_26.2.0-trunk.668_Orangepi5-max_noble_edge_7.0.0-rc6_kde-neon_desktop Unfortunately, I'm struggling with WiFi and Bluetooth issues: WiFi: No wireless interfaces are detected (no option in network settings). Bluetooth: The service is active, but it cannot scan or find any devices. What I’ve tried so far: Installed armbian-firmware and full-mirror-armbian-firmware. Verified that common wireless tools and relative packages are up to date. Checked rfkill list, but the adapters don't seem to be initialized correctly. …

  2. Hello, Is there a way (maybe using sysfs) in Linux to manage the brightness of the LED in the front of the NAS ? I found no information about this in the wiki: https://wiki.kobol.io/helios64/led/ or https://wiki.kobol.io/helios64/front-panel/ Thanks.

  3. is there anyway to enable 1-wire, SPI3, and I2C3 interfaces? I have a hard time to deal with the overlay, but noting seems to be working.

Hi, I'm trying to build a zynthian synthesizer on a nanoPi m4v2. The principle is to start from a minimal buster image and run a bunch of compilation scripts (see here on github) to create all the needed software. But all that stuff is for Raspberry Pi. In an initialization script (see here on github) they define compilation flags like this: if [ "$ZYNTHIAN_FORCE_RBPI_VERSION" ]; then hw_architecture="armv7l" rbpi_version=$ZYNTHIAN_FORCE_RBPI_VERSION else hw_architecture=`uname -m 2>/dev/null` if [ -e "/sys/firmware/devicetree/base/model" ]; then rbpi_version=`tr -d '\0' < /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/model` else…

  6. I downloaded the latest Armbian 22.08 image for the NanoPi M4V2 (https://armbian.chi.auroradev.org/dl/nanopim4v2/archive/Armbian_22.08.8_Nanopim4v2_jammy_current_5.15.75.img.xz), flashed it to an sd card and tried to boot my NanoPi M4 (non-V2 board). It crashes every time with the attached log. I have tried 4 different power supplies, so I don't think that's the issue. I tried the Bullseye CLI image and it fails in the same way. The Sid server image works fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Ben

  7. My plan is as follows: - Insert SD card. - Make a clone / back-up of boot and system using armbian-config whenever I'm about to do something major. (boot and system are both on eMMC) - "unclick" SD card and leave it in the back. - (repeat, until something breaks, and then just insert it and restore using armbian-config if something goes wrong.) I am confused by the eMMC to SD card path though. Here's some context: ❯ lsblk NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT loop0 7:0 0 86.6M 1 loop /snap/core/10578 loop1 7:1 0 178.2M 1 loop /snap/microk8s/1866 loop2 7:2 0 86.6M 1 loop /s…

Since there is a thread about adding ZFS support to the U-Boot build, I thought I'd post a similar request for btrfs. I was looking through the helios u-boot repo a few days ago and noticed that it isn't built with btrfs support. While I could make a separate ext4 /boot partition, it would be convenient to have the entire eMMC formatted as btrfs. This allows for me to make easy and fast backups using btrfs send/receive, and also allows for snapshotting prior to upgrades (via e.g. snapper), and rolling back to a different snapshot at boot. My turris onmia router uses u-boot with btrfs native root, and I've used the snapshot rollback support a couple of times. They…

  10. Hello, I have installed a tinkerboard 2S and used it without problems for more than a year now. Today I started Armbian-upgrade to upgrade the system.I use a M2 WIFI card. What happens right after the reboot when the upgrade was done; the system boots normally, showing all information on the monitor, and about 5 seconds after the login prompt is displayed, it completely freezes. That is; the system doesn't react to keypresses on my USB keyboard, and SSH access isn't reacting. I can ping the device however and I know it is not dead as my .NET core application is running normally and I can access it externally! I use a wifi hotspot configuration; the wifi n…

The board runs fine and stable for several hours. But as soon as I reboot the board, the board will stop booting. There is no HDMI output and no ping response. Trying to choose between an eMMC module or a USB Flash drive for the boot volume on a Rock64. I have a few Rock64's that I'm building as various services (Nextcloud, Pi-Hole, VPN, OMV, and/or Netatalk Backup). None of these devices will need large boot volumes as the data will be in secondary (Hard or SSD) Drives or will require VERY little data storage. On the RPi's that the Rock64's are replacing, I've been using USB Flash drives for booting. I get the feeling that an eMMC module is a better choice, but do have any real knowledge. Are the eMMC modules more reliable and less prone to corruption that USB Flash Drives? I do have some 32GB and 64…

I did try to reinstall the configuration. To go through a boot on the Micro SD... I don't know if there would be a command line to verify that OMV is installed? Or another way to install it?

  56. Hello Armbian Team, I am experiencing some difficulties with my Orange Pi 5 Ultra. Currently, there is no Armbian distribution available for this board. Although official Debian/Ubuntu images are provided on the Orange Pi website, none of them include the latest NPU driver (RKNPU 0.9.8). Since Orange Pi 5 Ultra has hardware similarities with Orange Pi 5 Max, I was wondering if it would be possible to release an Armbian version for this board as well. An official Armbian release would be highly beneficial for developers and users who require a stable and optimized OS for this hardware. Would it be possible to consider adding support for Oran…

  60. I was wondering if the Armbian 11 Bullseye release would get a release candidate for the following ppa's for Panfrost: ppa:liujianfeng1994/panfork-mesa ppa:liujianfeng1994/rockchip-multimedia Because I was really hoping to use Debian over Ubuntu for my purposes of familiarizing myself with the distro, but only Jammy so far has a candidate for these. Is there a specific reason why orangepi cm5 isn't supported? Or is it simply because nobody has contributed? Because I am willing to add support for it if there aren't any serious issues when building armbian for this board. The webpage for the board is currently empty. I see two issues when using Armbian on orangepi cm5: 1. The ethernet and the fan won't work. There is a device tree published by Laurent Pinchart that may fix this. 2. armbian-install bricks the board. Hello, I received my Helios NAS last week, I installed armbian on eMMC with no issues. But I have a issue with my ssd and hdd. When I plug in my 5 HDD + my SSD, I only see 4 HDD ... But when I remove my SSD I can see the 5 HDDs ... So my question is stupid but it's "normal" ? I have a doubt, there is not a limitation with the GPT?

  98. I just installed Armbian 5.88 for Rock Pi 4B and bluetooth is not working. I'm using ARMBIAN 5.88 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.4.180-rockchip64 Do you need further information? Got it working without compiling the new kernel. i manually ran the last steps of https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/config/sources/rockchip64.conf and copied rk3399-bluetooth.service and brcm_patchram_plus_rk3399 onto the device and set up the service... after a reboot Bluetooth is working fine. Thats great!

  100. This overlays settings worked well until I have compiled my own .dtbo file and call it with overlay=..xyz... , after that all yet working overlays stopped working, even if I removed them. The boot process now skips this overlay settings. After examination, I have found file "/boot/boot.scr" and "/boot/dtb-5.4.44-rockchip64/rockchip/overlay/rockchip-fixup.scr" had some garbage characters at beginning. I didn't change anything, neither I did open them before, those files simply got garbage. After deleting the garbage chars, it won't boot anymore. Before I had tried also spi-spidev and spi-nor
