  1. Hello, The last image for orange pi 5 with kernel 6.7 doesn't contain the overlay rk3588s-orangepi-5b.dtb on /boot/dtb/rockchip. So there is no way to mount the emmc on the orange pi 5B Is it possible to download the binary overlay separatelly? Thank you.

  2. Hi All, since i had many problem with my old OPI R1 (without PLUS) I just ordered the newer Model with 1 Gig Ram, RK3328 CPU and two Gigabit Ports. There Is a debian Image available on their Google Drive Share right now, I'll certainly try that out, but Is there a generic Armbian Image as well, I can take? Should be pretty straigt forward Device, I tink.... HDMI Out is not available, only USB Gigabit Ethernet and Rockchip Gigabit Ethernet. Would be great if Hardware encryption for IPSec is also availaibe. Any thoughts? Cheers Ford Prefect

  3. I thought I'd rebuild the NAS with the latest image in the hope that it would be more stable. Unfortunately my hopes were in vain. I was in the middle of doing an rsync and it crashed with a kernel panic. Had a look on the forum and implemented the two suggestions of limiting the cpu to 1200MHz and tweaking the voltages. CPU @ 50c as reported in the login header. Anyway after updating the setting I reboot it and it crashed immediately ! The same SMP issue that seems to have been plaguing this board since release

A quick check to sensor temps readings and physical check made me realize the fan were not spinning. I have a ROCK64 4GB Rev. 2. When I flash armbian to a SD card the board will boot fine and I can do basically anything for example apt-get update / upgrade. The board runs fine and stable for several hours. But as soon as I reboot the board, the board will stop booting. There is no HDMI output and no ping response. Even after disconnecting power for several hours. Right now there is no way for me to get it to boot again except for flashing the fresh image to the SD-card. I‘ve tried several SD-cards. I am using the original 5 V 3 A PSU. There is nothing connected to the board except for ethernet and power. Anyone got an …

Since this device is displayless and I hate to pop the case every time to hookup the console cable when setting up a half dozen devices. Please review the armbian logs here: https://paste.next.armbian.com/nekodihico I also noticed that pin numbers were changed if I compare it to the Orange pi OS. Thanks in advance!

I am now working on Bionic Desktop for Orange Pi rk3399. I want to do something similar to what have been done on Raspberry. i.e to use hdmi ddc as i2c (i2c over hmdi) http://blog.koalo.de/2013/11/i2c-over-hdmi.html I could run i2cdump, ic2get and i2cwrite without any problem but I can't find the i2c device for hdmi ddc of my OrangePi rk3399. My wild guess is that I need to enable hdmi ddc by modifying the uboot folder. However, I don't know how to start with. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks in advance Eli

  42. Dear Community, This might only be with the NanoPI-r6c images, but the SHASUM contains a temporary path which you don't have an thus fails. Since we cannot change the SHASUM because then the ASC would fail, I have a temporary workaround: sed 's,/.*/,,' armbian.img.sha | sha256sum -c In a script you could either 1. CD into the directory of the image 2. Run the SHASUM there 3. Use $OLDPWD to return or correct the SHASUM inline: sha256sum /path/to/file | sed 's,/.*/,,' > armbian.img.sha Dantes

Not the final version. Update(8/24/2018): It's time to deal with NEO4, this picture is not the final version. NEO4 will have PCIe x2 and eMMC connector too, and a MIPI-CSI. But the dual-layer USB connector will share USB 3.0 & USB 2.0, Type-C take another USB 3.0.

  49. I have Firefly RK3399 board. I ran armbian from SD card successfully the first time. After full init, I ran nand-sata-flash.sh install script, also successfully. But then I can't boot from the same SD card anymore. I always boot from the eMMC memory. I expected that boot sequence would be set on SD card first, then check eMMC.

How can I include these applications and service files as a part of Armbian image. Thanks in Advance

Hello, thank you for your new image work. However, although I wrote to write your image to emmc or sd card, the device does not respond at all. The previous version Armbian_23.11.1_Panther-x2_bookworm_current_6.1.63.img.xz works normally on my panther device. The new version and minimal iot version do not boot at all. I kindly request your information about Armbian_community_24.11.0-trunk.25_Panther-x2_bookworm_current_6.6.47_minimal .img.xz.

This is something hopefully suitable to become a 'Board Bring up' thread. The NanoPC T4 was the smallest RK3399 board around featuring full set of interfaces (Rock960 was smaller but there you can't use GbE without a proprietary expander) but in the meantime he got two smaller siblings: NanoPi M4 and the cute NEO4. Pros: Another RK3399 board so software support is already pretty mature Rich set of interfaces (2 x USB2 without shared bandwidth, 2 x USB3, triple display output and so on) No powering hassles due to 12V (2A) PSU requirement 16GB superfast eMMC 5.1 Usable and performant Wi-Fi (dual band and dual antenna so…

If you want 4k video then you need to contact Rockchip. They seem to be overwhelmed or not interested in bringing 4k support to Linux.
