Hi all, I got my helios4 sometimes in 2019 and it was one of the best purchases I ever made. It has served and was solid as a rock. Unfortunately all that ended couple of days ago when I noticed the Helios was not powering up properly, think it was the power supply not connected well (because I just recently changed the location) I removed and fitted the PSU a couple of times, I could see the led light come on but still it would not boot properly. By the time I found out what the real problem is things had gone worse, the reason for the incomplete boot was the SD card has been removed. Unfortunately, it seems my constant removing and refitting the PSU to …

I had to roll back and use apt hold on the 2 corresponding packages to remain on the "good" LTS kernel 5.4.253 that supports fstrim on extremely popular Crucial SSDs that support it. It's impossible to get the maintainer Joe to reply. Is there a triage way to have someone contact him and make him aware of this issue? I have zero complaints about his work, but SATA TRIM commands are a must have on SBCs that have drive bays. It dramatically increases lifetime of NAND based storage devices. Please tell me what to do. I found filing a simple bug report would be counter productive as I want to investigate why later Kernels are either compiled without …

I see the download page says there are USB 3 issues with the mainline kernel (and eMMC, which the board doesn't even have?) and serial console for legacy kernel is broken. I've also read that HMP isn't supported on mainline either. Which kernel is recommended for general mini server usage with an attached hard drive and the OS installed on the hard drive with SD only for boot? I'm thinking of replacing my old cubietruck with it, running nginx as an SSL web proxy and a little bit of web serving.

Hello, I just ran a apt-update Sunday on a project and afterwards the XU only have Black screen with blinking _ in the corner, not connecting to LAN, no ssh, etc; red led is on, blue led blinking, no new logs in /var/log. Hi I have upgraded an existing x86 Armbian system with kernel 6.6.63 and zfs 2.3.2 to the suggested kernel 6.12.32-current-x86, but I cannot get the zfs kernel module loaded after the latest updates to Armbian 25.5.1 noble. I also tried on other kernels, only the old 6.6.63 seems to work. Normally when you select a different kernel in the armbian-config menu, it should automatically compile the zfs modules if it is activated. It just skips it. But you can of course compile it with the provided DKMS system: the build just finishes fine, without any error, also the install, but when you try to load the module: it responds with: …

  74. Does anyone know any way to fix the annoying way the fan works on this device? 99. https://dl.armbian.com/odroidxu4/archive/Armbian_20.05.2_Odroidxu4_bullseye_current_5.4.41.img.xz Third link on XU4 and HC1,2 MC1 download pages are 404 not found. Building an archive for a workshop I'm doing next week and got the 404. No big deal, just wanted to make a note.

  100. Hello everyone, I would like to build an image for the Rasperry Pi 1, 2 and Zero. I could not found a download for a RPi on armbian.com. Then I saw that `rpi` is disabled in `/lib/configuration.sh`. Even when enabling it, I get an error during build, saying "[ error ] Building failed, check configuration" . I wonder why the Raspberry Pi is not supported. Is it due to its closed hardware? Thanks!
