  1. I'm not sure what is the cause and effect here, but what I saw today is weird. 2. This isn't a question but more of a tutorial. I wanted to install Debian Bookworm with latest kernel to my odroid. I'm documenting my steps and experience here in case you stumble across it and find it useful. At the time of writing, the link on the Odroid HC4 site to download Bookworm is broken. No worries, I thought, I'll just build it myself, doesn't seem too hard. My host system is Windows 10 where I'm building in a WSL 2 Ubuntu. It has GCC 9.3.0 installed. Follow the usual instructions here. My compilation command is: ./compile.sh KERNEL_CONFIGURE= BUILD_MINIMAL=no BUILD_DESKTOP=no EXTERNAL_NEW=prebuilt BOARD=odroidhc4 BRA…

I got the Le Potato Ubuntu server image up and running. Then installed the Mate desktop environment. Most everything is working fine, but the system freezes hard at times, mostly when I try to run several large programs concurrently. Problem with memory? Also, some resolutions have the refresh rate set at 68.5 Hz that don't work on most of my monitors. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the work you guys put into it, and I look forward to the continuing progress!

When starting 24.2.1 from a fresh sd card, usb and disk leds are on, and the board boots. But they don't show in lsusb. If I reconnect them after the board is booted, the leds stay off (and obviously they don't show in lsusb). Of course, booting from external ssd stops at some point, because usb is lost during the boot (when connecting a display, the failures start to happen on armbian services). 40. See https://github.com/canonical/netplan/pull/456#discussion_r1569065581 The way the netplan + networkd integration is designed requires all the network devices (wlan0 in particular) to exist at /sbin/init time - otherwise, the netplan generator disables `systemd-networkd-wait-online.service` which also causes `network-online.target` to be reached early. In particular, this breaks any network FS mounts on boot. Of note, I tried logging in to file the bug via the dev contribution platform, but it looks I'm blocked from JIRA access, so am filing it here instead.

  46. Hi everibody, I have an Armbian 25.2.3 bookworm fresh installed and I have some problem with IP route. In my network there is an DHCP server that serve the IP address and route to the client. The server is _isc-dhcpd-4.1.1-P1_. In my network there are multiple OS like Debian 12, ArchLinux, MacOS and Windows, all the clients get the IP configurations via DHCP without problems. The issue is reported only on the Armbian client and it concerns the configuration of the IP route. In the Armbian device is not created the default route and there are two IP route that not be exist and are also wrong. In the DHCP server I have the configuration for serve the…

  47. Hi, Banana Pi M5 here. Really thanks so much by your generous work with Armbian software. 49. I recently installed the latest precompiled Bullseye image on my Odroid HC4 and plugged in two Samsung 870 QVO 8TB SSDs. After configuring the system I noticed that they were not present, checking output from `/var/log/syslog` I can see the "SATA Llink down" messages for both channels. After several reboots I tried seating them after booting, both drives cause some messages about a soft reset failing, then eventually within 30-60 seconds are recognised until I reboot. I then one Crucial MX500 4TB SSDs which was recognised at first, after some reboots it would no longer be present, or strangely, be present with a much lower capacity (1TB). When seating the d…

  52. Odroid N2/N2+ · Started by Pedro Teixeira,

Hi all, I've been searching this topic for a while but haven't found a clear answer to my question. Running an N2+, I've noticed that sometimes, in dmesg, a process will be killed due to lack of ram, this is usually when, for example, plex is busy generating video thumbnails and bazarr is syncing newly downloaded subtitles for example. This isn't as common place as such but it does happen from time to time. My armbian installation (latest ubuntu server image with latest mainline kernel) is installed to an nvme ssd, so I was wondering if enabling zswap and disabling zram would be beneficial in this case? Or can both be used at the same t…

  77. Hey, I have a very similar problem here to this and this thread. I rebooted as the HC4 was already bugging me for a while to reboot on the motd (unattended-upgrades). Since the reboot, /dev/sdb is gone. It's a new Samsung SSD 870 EVO as well as in the other thread. The other (still running) one is a new Crucial MX500. I tried several Armbian kernels but no change. I went back to 5.10.57-meson64. There are no obviously burnt components on the device. There seem quite a few people with this problem. Any ideas? Thanks a lot! P.S. TP10 and TP11 are at 12V.

  96. I've tried multiple time on different cards. Both images, give me the same result. At first I'm able to edit files then after a restart or two I'm no longer able to edit files. Can't even touch a new file as root. I have tried at least 10 times today with both images. Every time I end up in the same situation unable to edit the sd card.

  97. Dear all, first, as being new here: Many thanks to all the work that went into this! Now, here's my problem on Le Potato, which I have with armbian and LibreELEC: As soon as I copy anything large to any media, some services (SSH, Samba, Kodi, tvheadend - all of them network dependent) crash after writing something between 200 and 700 MB - not always at the same point. So anything like cp /some/huge/file /home/me crashes the services. Something like this: cp /some/huge/file /dev/null is no problem. I tried writing to SD as well as to USB, and I tried via network (scp from another machine into Le Potato…

On an Odroid N2 booting off emmc with latest Armbian (N2 version) and I seem to be experiencing systemd issues. Hi everyone! Been using Armbian for a few days and loving it!! Banging job! I'd like to ask though, is there a way to change the threshold for when the fan kicks in on the N2+? As it's hardcoded to 65C correct? Thanks!
